We enjoyed ourselves and our guests immensely and couldn't have asked for more talented, humble, creative, stealth photographers. I did a lot of research and considered many different high profile photographers (we really wanted to invest in our photographs). And after going on a few face-to-face interviews, we thought Steven and Tak were the most down-to-earth, professional, skilled photographers. We loved how they were also married! They took the time to get to know us and made us feel as comfortable as we could be. Let's just say that my fiance and I are super awkward in front of the camera and are not the most photogenic. They did wonders to our photos. They are not your average photographers, so if you want to go the extra mile - I would HIGHLY recommend them. On the day of the wedding, our bridal party felt so comfortable...and everyone complimented us on how wonderful they were. We would give them 10 stars (if we could). cing these works of art. I use the word "experiencing" because its more than "seeing" - you actually experience the moments over again. During our search process, we looked for photographers who could show more than pretty faces smiling, trained monkeys can do that.. I wanted people who could capture moments of our wedding, all the emotional, funny, bizarre, and quirky stuff that goes on in throwing a wedding and STAK did exactly that. Our STAK photos were REAL, CREATIVE and they had HEART...you feel an emotion in every photograph. Like most people, if you don't live in the limelight, the thought of having two people follow you around snapping photos of everything you do can be uncomfortable and even a little daunting, but this was certainly NOT the case for us. Steven + Tak have a quiet, almost invisible presence, so you don't even realize you're being photographed and also, there is something about them that makes you feel comfortable to be yourself. But NOTE: don't underestimate their "invisible presence" because their work is powerful and it packs a punch. They surprised us in their ability to catch all the small details that we missed because of the rush of the day. It was only through the photos that I got a chance to see all the decor that I spent months planning on, purchasing and agonizing over but ended up missing on the actual day- and that was so cool. The two of them even made a splash with our guests who stated that they were "all over the place and worked their butts off." (How they managed to be everywhere and always with us at all the perfect times is beyond me.) On a technical level, Steven + Tak know lighting, and angles, they play with it and sprinkle it on like pixie dust. One minute you're standing there in a pose thinking -"is this gonna work???" and next thing you know, KABOOM! it's one of the BEST photos in the lot and then you start seriously wondering why Vogue hasn't called you yet. (BTW, Vogue, you can reach me on my cell..) lol On a business level, dealing with STAK in terms of contracts and financial issues, we were very impressed at how professional they were. All our business transactions went on with out a hitch (excuse the pun!). On a personal level, Steven + Tak are really humble and they have their own styles and talents and you see them play off each others strengths plus, you get the benefit of having two different styles of photography. I especially loved the fact that they were husband and wife. Steven + Tak work exceptionally well together, a kind of Ying and Yang, watching them work reminds one why people get married in the first place. They worked with us on their first anniversary which was such an honor and to me, it was also a testament to their personal dedication to their artwork. I mean who the hell chooses to work on their 1st wedding anniversary, on a weekend??? The answer: only people who love their work. I guess it's clear, my husband and I have only great things to say about STAK and I'm from New York so if there was anything negative, I would have said it already. It was an honor and a pleasure to work with Steven + Tak and they will be our go-to photographers. Right now, my husband is laughing at me cause' I'm already thinking up occasions just to be able to hire them again
