Where to begin! Our wedding was August 22,2020. We always had plans to have our ceremony and cocktail hour outside. Due to some new state rules, we also decided to move our recepti...
on outside under a large tent. SYC didn’t even hesitate when we had to shift our plans to accommodate our guests and their stuff. I cannot say enough good things about SYC and their team, especially the manager/wedding coordinator, Erica. She exceeded our expectations and we were able to fully trust her from the very moment we met her. She worked with us day in and day out to make our day perfect. She was fun, enthusiastic, organized, and professional. She is AMAZING at her job.
I also had a major hiccup with my cake (from an outside vendor)- but Erica sprung into action and basically redecorated my cake and made it beautiful.
The food at SYC was phenomenal and our guests were very, very happy. The club is always clean and beautiful. The staff is pleasant and welcoming.
We had the wedding of our dreams and everything was perfect. We can’t even formulate into words how grateful we are for Erica and her team.
We also had our rehearsal dinner at SYC. The table set up for our friends and family looked beautiful. The food was fantastic, as always. It felt like anytime we needed something, they did their absolute best to make it happen without any questions. SYC is a great place to have an event, especially a wedding!

or, did an exceptional job in every possible way. They all made it very easy for myself (the bride) and my husband to enjoy our wedding and not worry about anything. The food was excellent! I would recommend this venue and working with James to every bride!
This is a private club, so they cannot advertise. You need a sponsor to have your reception there, but if you don't know anyone- James will work with you to find someone. It's loca...
ted on the West, so you get an amazing sunset! Food is delicious! We received so many compliments from our guest about it. One really cool thing as well is that you can arrive by boat. We took our whole wedding party with us and made our grand entrance by boat!
Also, has a fun bar area that opens up to the dance floor- so if people aren't dancing- they don't have to be at their table. Definitely, not your typical wedding factory- One wedding at a time and they do a great job taking care of you!
James and staff at Stamford Yacht Club were excellent. We had our entire wedding there! Makeup for myself and all the girls was done in the provided bridal suite, ceremony was on t...
he lawn followed by cocktail hour/pictures and then the reception. We were able to add on an extra hour of drinks on consumption and dancing. Its a STUNNING location overlooking the Long Island Sound. The bar room attached to the dining room makes the event space huge. The food was delicious - the chef onsite used to work in a NYC restaurant and it shows. We had 8 passed appetizers during cocktail hour - all yummy bites!, a penne ala vodka with proscuitto, the SYC salad - canded walnuts yum and boursin cheese, yum! and the beef medallions or stuffed chicken breast for entree options. ALL DELICIOUS!!
NOTE: In order to have your wedding here you will need to be sponsored by a member. However, if you don't know a member they are usually pretty helpful identifying a sponsor.
