Jay was absolutely amazing! From the very beginning he helped me tremendously. He took time to edit songs for my husband and I to choose from for multiple occasions (recessional, walk-out, etc.) The wedding was small (40 people) but Jay had the dance floor going all night! Super knowledgable and made me feel like we had a handle on things at every step. We were very impressed and high recommend!

Jay was extremely helpful getting us prepared for our big day. He was always in touch with us and making sure everything was in place and making sure we knew he was available if we needed help with anything. The day of the wedding he made everything go seamlessly. He made us feel very comfortable and everyone had a blast. The music was always on point and the lights were too! Jay played our wedding in September and did an amazing job! As soon as the dance floor opened, it was full until the very end of the night! I've never seen so many people stay so late at a wedding and dance non-stop! And it was in large part due to Jay. He also was incredibly well-prepared and communicative throughout the planning process. We planned the entire wedding ourselves and often didn't know what we were doing, but Jay always made us feel comfortable, pointed us to other vendors, and helped us steer clear of common mistakes. It was one of the best nights of my life and Jay made it even better!

Outside of my wedding planner, hiring Jay was the best decision I made in my entire wedding planning process. A true professional, he was detail oriented, kind, a good listener, and gave us exactly what we were hoping for. I was told by many guests our DJ was one of the best they've ever seen. Jay is fantastic! A DJ can make or break a party, and Jay is a great DJ, who had our guests dancing all night. From our first meeting, I knew that he was a catch, as he is so organized and has so much wedding experience - the questions he asked helped me organize my whole day, and he had so many small suggestions that helped everything flow smoothly. Because of his meticulous planning, everything went perfectly. We had a few hiccups with weather that affected our timing, and Jay helped to coordinate everyone so well that the guests didn't realize that things weren't going according to plan. I loved the edit Jay did of our first dance song, maintaining the integrity of the song, while allowing us to get through our dance quickly. And he did a great job incorporating the songs we wanted to hear while also being responsive to the crowd. Our guests loved the hip-hop finish to the evening!

We were recommended DJ Jay from a good friend who had used him for their wedding 24 years ago. We spoke with him and booked right away for our wedding that was more than a year away. We had our wedding last weekend and had so many guests reach out to tell us how great the music and playlist was at the wedding! My husband and I were very impressed with all of the communication leading up to our wedding. We had multiple zoom meetings and phone calls with Jay to make sure everything was prepared and just how we wanted it for our special day. When you book Jay for your wedding you are truly booking so much more than just a DJ. Jay was such an amazing vendor to work with throughout the wedding process and he was so calming and professional during all of our planning meetings. Jay has a planning packet that he goes through with you on the first meeting which is so helpful because I realized there were things I had not thought about yet. He goes so above and beyond and actually helped me find a place for wedding dress alterations. He also checked in multiple times the weeks before my wedding to see how we were doing and if we needed anything from him. On the wedding day he did such an amazing job of keeping the reception on track and organized. I gave a thank you speech prior to dinner at our reception, and the microphone was ready and on our table when we walked in. He also made a point to introduce himself to our parents prior to the wedding and introduced himself to my grandfather who was blessing the meal. He was so supportive all night with making sure that I had enough time to bustle my dress prior to dances and walking my husband and I through the reception entrance. At the end of the night my husband and I had discussed wanting to do a private last dance before our grand exit. Jay went above and beyond again by not only ushering people fully out of the room, but he also stepped away in order to truly give us that alone time. I truly felt that we had the perfect wedding day and Jay was a huge, huge part of that!!

Jay was my DJ at my recent wedding......He is absolutely amazing and one of a kind!!! From when Jay and I had our first Zoom meeting to discuss the wedding up until the end of the night at our wedding, Jay was completely IN......so involved and helpful.....He went above and beyond to make our wedding day was OUTSTANDING.....Jay helped us throughout the planning and not just with the music.....Jay gave great ideas on how to make sure everyone would have a wonderful time....Jay even called my mother prior to the wedding to see if she had any specific requests or needs. .... At the actual wedding, Jay checked in with us on a regular basis to make sure we were taken care of from our drinks to enjoying the music......at one point I needed to go to the bathroom and with my dress being fitted/ corset, I needed some help....Jay went and found my sisters.....Thank you Jay!

Jay DJ'd for our wedding in August 2022 (after being postponed from 2021), and as an event planner I can attest that he was one of the best vendors I have ever worked with. Jay is practically an event planner himself wrapped up in DJ service, and multiple times went through the evening timeline minute-by-minute (not just the reception) to make sure we were all on the same page but also giving advice throughout the process (make sure the bustle is strong, if the bride is on the dance floor everyone will join, dance floor size, etc). The music was of course terrific, and the notes he'd taken during the planning process about the guest demographics and type of music to play was spot-on. Jay took care of everything with the venue to make sure he had what he needed without having to bother us on the day-of. I would recommend SRO to absolutely anyone. Jay takes pride in his work, is the utmost professional, and an incredibly valuable resource when planning a wedding.

Jay was the perfect DJ for my wedding. I wasn't planning on getting a DJ and my venue suggested it - I am so thankful I did. We didn't really have a strong sense of what music we wanted, so he chose most everything during the cocktail hour and reception. He helped us through the process and was necessary on the night of the wedding. Beforehand, he walked through everything that we would need including processional and recessional music, announcement music, and various times that we would need microphones. He also gave us several edits of our first dance song, one of which we used for the reception. On the day of, he helped the ceremony run smoothly by dealing with microphones and music, he announced things as they happened (dessert, toasts, guest book, etc), and he read the crowd so our small wedding of 24 people danced until we had to end the wedding. My mom said if she gets married again (haha) she would want him as her DJ. Thank you for everything, Jay!

We cannot say enough great things about Jay from Standing Room Only! He is the best emcee and DJ and we highly recommend him to anyone who wants their guests on the dance floor the entire night! Jay checked in with us throughout the planning process (which for us was almost two years), offering advice and sending us outstanding vendor suggestions. We also had an in-depth planning call a few weeks before the wedding to go over the flow of the day and to decide on our music. Jay took the time to send us shortened versions of the songs and also offered commonly used song suggestions for the Mother-Son Dance and Father-Daughter Dance to help us determine our final song choices. He also took the time to call our parents to see if they needed anything from him on the wedding day, which was a thoughtful touch. Jay did an outstanding job on the day of the wedding! All of the music was wonderful and flowed well. He also did a great job facilitating the various events such as the cake cutting, speeches, bouquet toss and garter belt song. He also took the time to check in with us during dinner to confirm final details and walk us through the various reception events. Doing this was going above and beyond. As I mentioned at the start of this review, Jay kept our guests on the dance floor the entire night! That is not often the case at weddings! He was upbeat, fun and kept the party going for us! We booked Jay in 2019 for our Dec. 2020 wedding which ended up getting postponed until Dec. 2021. Jay remained in contact all throughout that time, checking in every couple months. Not only was his communication above and beyond, he worked with us to develop creative dance mixes, and impressed not only us but all our guest in developing a beautiful environment with his uplighting for our wedding reception! We also used his expertise during our wedding ceremony. Our wedding day was the most stress free day with Jays support. I would HIGHLY recommend Jay for any event you are in need of a DJ. Jay is so thoughtful and helpful when planning our wedding. We met with him several times over the the course of a year as we made more decisions about our big day. I wish I could give ten stars to Jay! He is so knowledgeable and basically helped me plan my wedding with tips and tricks that he knew. Jay is so good! He held off the speech from the father of the bride because the father of the groom was missing - I never would have figured that out. Fantastic! Must use! We worked with Jay for our wedding and he was fantastic. We live out of state but were having a Colorado wedding and Jay offered to go check out the venue locations for us and give feedback before we were even able to see the venues ourselves. We had multiple meetings to make sure we were all on the same page for every detail of the event. He provided music for the ceremony, happy hour, and reception. We are still getting compliments from friends and family about how great his song selection was and how he kept the dance floor full the entire night. What can I say… Jay made our wedding day a breeze. He was the best DJ a bride and groom could ask for. I had multiple people come up to me and tell me they LOVED the playlist. He kept people on the dance floor and probably caused some sore knees the next day haha. We postponed our wedding from 2020 to 2021 and Jay kept in contact throughout the year, asking if there was anything he could help with. On the day he kept everything to schedule and communicated well with us and our guests who needed to know the timeline (special dances and speeches). I couldn't recommend him enough.

Jay is the most professional, personable and detail-oriented DJ, and he was the reason our wedding day rain smoothly from start to finish. We had an extremely windy mountainside ceremony and Jay made sure that all mics were secure, managed the volume so every guest could hear perfectly and hit every single music cue with ease. Guests we had never seen dance in our lifetime hit the floor and showed off their moves! Jay’s suggestions for the progression of the reception were awesome! The night was perfect and progressed smoothly with no gaps or downtime, but plenty of opportunities for guests to socialize and relax together. We can’t think of anything we would change! We only wish the reception had lasted longer!! A few other things you should know about Jay. He helped us choose our other vendors and he’s extremely knowledgeable about venues and vendors in the Estes Park area. Also, he called our parents prior to the wedding to check in, introduce himself and ask if they needed anything. He had asked us if this was okay and we were so pleased that he took this extra step. Additionally, when my bustle failed he was there with safety pins at the reception! Jay did way more than what we expected from a DJ and was worth every single penny. Jay managed to exceed our expectations and build rapport with our family at the same time. We are already thinking about future events we could plan so that we can book Jay!
