Star Strings Make the Bride Star of the Wedding
Based out of Macomb, MI, Star String Quartet is a sophisticated wedding band. Available to travel throughout the Detroit area, this string quartet is happy to perform for ceremonies and receptions. They can adapt their musical stylings to suit whatever atmosphere you wish to create on your special day. The talented musicians that make up Star String Quartet have performed with various ensembles, entertaining crowds across the area. Violinist Hektor Qyteti founded this group in 2000. He trained in Europe at music conservatories and leads his fellow musicians with his expertise and professionalism. Hektor is happy to meet with couples and play a selection of pieces before they decide what music best suits their celebration. Star String Quartet's musical catalog covers a range of genres, from classical to pop hits. Traditional tunes can also be played. This group most often performs as a quartet, but can also appear as duets and trios. Harps, piano, organ, and trumpet accompaniment can be incorporated in these various ensembles.

an excessive time in between songs during cocktail hour leaving long gaps of silence while guests tried to mingling.
This may be the nature of having a string musicians play instead of a DJ during cocktail hour but if you hire them for this portion, I would stress that you want to maximize the amount of music being played so it maintains the ambiance for guests and you get the most bang for your buck.
Overall, I would hire them again and recommend them!

estion that Hektor and the Star String Quartet were playing at my wedding. They are by far the most professional and best sounding string quartet around. We loved Hektor who is incredibly talented and was amazing in how he worked to help coordinate all our music and was on top of every last detail. Star String Quartet's clarity and sound was so beautiful and the emotion they brought to our mass was absolutely breathtaking. Our family and guests are still talking about it two months later! They were able to play everything from classical to more contemporary songs and their sound just brought such a special emotion to the day that we will never forget, nor will our guest. We also had two soloist sing and a brass quartet and the harmony of everything was just perfection. They played at my brother’s wedding mass in Chicago as well as many other weddings we have been to and they sound consistently exquisite every time.
