Splurge on hiring Tessa for your wedding, it is worth every penny. Throughout the entire wedding planning process Tessa was an incredible resource by providing recommendations and answering any questions we had. Communication was always prompt, and she helped us come up with a professionally detailed day of timeline. The photos.... Genuinely left us speechless. I had to look through all 1,000+ photos 3x to even begin selecting my favorites. Her careful eye and attention to detail are everything. Cannot recommend Tessa highly enough, she captured our wedding day perfectly and I will cherish these photos forever. It's also important to mention that Tessa is a wedding pro. For every small bump in the road, Tessa had a plan B and took action immediately!

When it was time for my fiance and I to book our wedding day photographer we had already worked with Tessa at Starling Studio for an engagement session. We were both blown away with how comfortable she made us feel and how incredible out photos turned out. We knew that if we did not chose her as our photographer for our big day we would always be comparing our photos and our experience to what she would have provided. From the beginning Tessa's communication was great. She invests in her clients lives and even checked in on us from time to time on instagram. Every time we worked with her it was like catching up with an old friend with laughs and conversations happening in between each take. This was so important for us to feel comfortable on our wedding day. The impact of using Tessa to document our wedding day can't be measured in words but I will do my best! She knows what is important. She makes every one feel like a natural and captures artistic elements and details that you wouldn't even think of. She worked with the young children in our bridal party and took amazing photos of them that we will cherish forever. She also focused attention on our grandparents, family, and friends at the reception. I value those photos of my grandparents so much and thought it was so thoughtful of her to include in our album. Her second shooter came prepared with all of the things you would need to make sure the bride stays gorgeous all day and even helped fan me during the heat. They both went the extra mile all day for not only the bride and groom, but additional family who needed direction and other vendors when they needed it. If there is one thing you want to invest in for your big day, it is Tessa. I will always have these photos to look back on and to enjoy. She returned our photos with unprecedented speed and every single one is gorgeous. I have never been happier with a decision and I know that I will continue to book with Tessa to document all of our future life moments.

My fiancé and I booked Tessa for our engagement shoot. Tessa is very personable, professional, and skilled in her craft. She was very good at cueing us for our engagement photos and was clear in her direction. I think that some things, such as turnaround time and payment could have been communicated more clearly upfront, but there were no issues or delays in that regard. Also, it might have been nice to have a phone call leading up to the day of our photoshoot to touch base on our vision and review our preferences for the photos since an hour of photo-taking time goes by so quickly. Overall, we are happy with our photos and appreciate Tessa's hard work!

Tessa is the MVP of photography. She is such a sweetheart and genuinely cares about each of her clients. We had so much fun at our engagement session which was a pleasant surprise! Tessa was absoultely unbelievable for out engagement photos + wedding. We loved getting to know Tessa at our engagements shoot. Her warm, inviting energy made us feel so comfortable. Where do I begin?! Tessa is perfect! Her photography style is absolutely gorgeous and I promise you will not be disappointed. Will likely be crying while writing this review because we are that grateful to have had Tessa as our wedding photographer! From the moment we met at our engagement shoot we immediately felt so comfortable and that we were in GREAT hands. On our wedding day, Tessa captured our incredible romantic moments, all the perfect little details, and truly had us laughing and crying at the same time out of pure joy. Tessa is the best!!! From the moment we met her at our engagement shoot, my husband and I knew we made the best decision choosing her for our wedding. Tessa made us feel so comfortable and confident in front of the camera and she instantly felt like a friend we'd known for years. Absolutely incredible experience with Tessa and her team. She did such a phenomenal job at our wedding on 10/09/2021. 09/18/2020 My husband and I LOVED working with Tessa. She jumped on the phone with me before our small ceremony and was a huge help making my vision come true. Tessa was on time, professional and super fun to work with. She did an excellent job at capturing the emotional moments, took advantage of the beautiful venue (Franklin Park Conservatory), and was great at directing Collin and me for wonderful portraits that still felt natural. When the pictures came out I was surprised at how stunning they were! It was exactly what we wanted for our special day. Above our expectations!

Tessa is AMAZING at what she does. I was her model for a styled shoot and she captured the love and romance of me and my boyfriend more beautifully than I could have ever imagined! She has an extreme eye for detail and shoots in a very bright and airy style that would make ANYONE look stunning! I would recommend her a million times over if you’re looking for a photographer that will nail your vision and is super fun to work with! 10/10!

Tessa is the best! I'm not someone who really enjoys getting their picture taken but she makes the experience so fun! She's charismatic and she takes charge. She gets the best pictures from even those who aren't photogenic. I don't know how she does it! Our wedding was better because we had her capture it - 'nough said :)
