nalities did not mesh as well as I would like. It was a business relationship only. I was hoping for a better personal relationship in some way with my wedding planner as it may help more in the planning and communicating aspect. Business relationship only is also fine but I think due to the lack of understanding of certain wants and needs of our vision of the wedding it took more persuading. Some things may not been done before which can be a little scary or difficult but also lining up back up plans or things that need to happen when things do not go as planned is necessary. Nonetheless, the show went on and the wedding was enjoyable for most of the guests and it was a beautiful wedding filled with love. However, I think listening and understanding what our needs are can be improved and opening up the conversation for certain topics like, "How did you feel the wedding went?" "Are there areas of improvement on my side?" "What would you suggest to meet your vision and how can I make that happen for you?" These are the questions I wanted to hear more from our wedding planner. Also, if you plan your wedding at The Doyle with Starry Eyed Events, please do not have your family and loved ones stay at The Grand Hotel as most of our guests were complaining it was too loud and they were unable to sleep and they did not end up having everyone on the same floor. At the end of the day the wedding happened and I am grateful for everyone including Melina for not giving up and keeping to our budget during this crazy time after the pandemic with so much change. However, if I have an event again I would not collaborate with her as I feel our visions/personalities clashed. If you do go with Melina under Starry Eyed Events be specific and forward of your needs and help her out as well as it is a team effort to make such a large event happen. Happy event planning.

of help but Melina was a dream come true. Every dream I had for my day she improved on, managed my expectations, or figured out a way to bring it to fruition. She was HONEST and up front about everything. She introduced us to vendors just as amazing as she is! Her communication was always punctual and detailed so I never felt out of the loop, her ideas are creative, multipurpose and she truly stretched our dollar to give us everything possible on our list. Due to COVID our wedding changed completely but Melina handled it with such kindness and grace, she really was willing to do whatever it took to make it work. If you are on the fence about hiring Melina, DO IT! She will be the best choice you make for the biggest day of your life. I truly can not say enough good about her!

"Are you stressed about planning your wedding?" I would think to myself "Am I supposed to be stressed?" I never felt stress! Melina really made planning my wedding fun and easy. I sent her a few pictures from Pinterest, so she knew what direction I wanted to go with. From then on she show me 3 or 4 options of everything and pricing for each, and I would make the decision. Same goes for her vendors. She literally saved me thousands of dollars by going with another vendor. I loved that we were her main priority. All of the vendors she recommended were fantastic, and we loved what each of them did for our wedding.

I was so thankful for her suggestions, opinions and guidance since she has amazing taste! She was also always super quick to answer all my questions! You can tell by working with her that she is excellent in her craft and knows what shes doing, we loved working with her! She is also such a sweet person!
