Starry Night Barn & Studios

Absolutely perfect. Not only is the venue exquisite, down to the beautiful barn wood tables and brand new chairs, but the venue comes with two ADORABLE cottages for the wedding party and/or you or your family to stay in. They were so dreamy. The entire property is absolutely lovely, and minutes (but seriously, like two minutes) from awesome photo locations, beaches, and wineries. You can work with any vendor you would like, and they do all of the heavy lifting. The golf carts and attentive staff were more than expected, and so helpful. They worked with us to make sure we had a rain alternative for our ceremony, and they were so accommodating, I almost forgot it wasn't a sunny day. The entire day was everything we had hoped for and more. Book today!

It took us longer than expected to find the perfect wedding venue, but we are so glad we found Starry Night Barn! Once I heard of Starry Night, I called them to see if we could stop by and take a look around. 20 minutes later Meagan was giving my mom and I a little tour around the barn and grounds. We booked Starry Night a few days later for our August 2017 wedding. Starry Night Barn was the ideal venue for the wedding we wanted – it has a beautiful outdoor setting, a relaxed atmosphere, the option of on-site lodging, and flexibility in choosing our wedding vendors. We chose to have our ceremony in the back field by the fence, right behind the stone cabin. We brought in our own altar for the ceremony, and Meagan and John were helpful in setting that up. They took care of everything during the day of (setting up chairs, making sure people knew where they were sitting, directing people, answering questions, and extra little errands), and made sure that we felt relaxed and stress-free. We are so grateful for Meagan and John and the entire Starry Night staff. They were so helpful and accommodating, not just the day of, but during the whole wedding planning process. The barn itself is beautifully restored and the white lights inside were perfect for us, we brought in only a few additional small decorations. We really have nothing but positive things to say about Meagan and John and Starry Night Barn. We are so glad we chose to have our wedding here, it really was a magical weekend! We can’t wait to go back and visit for future anniversaries and stay in the cabins.

If you're looking for the perfect wedding venue in Northern Michigan, look no further! There are not enough wonderful things I can say about the Starry Night Barn and the people that run it. Everything exceeded our exceptions. If you are thinking of booking, think no further- book now! That is if there is even availability as I can't imagine this place will have many openings soon. The layout of the land is great for a wedding/event. There's space for everyone to feel like they're not on top of each other, and yet small enough that it feels connected and intimate. It's also not cookie cutter which was very important to us. We wanted our guests to have fun, relax and enjoy feeling like they were swept away to another world for the evening. Mission accomplished. We had our ceremony in the back field which had a beautiful background every direction you looked. The staff set everything up the day before so we could have a rehearsal , which made the day of the wedding run very smooth. We also rented the cottages on site which was a great addition. The girls were in one and the guys in the other. They provided the perfect amount of space to get ready in, as well as a house all of our stuff for the day. For cocktail hour we used the underground lounge. It felt like something out of the 1920's. All our guests couldn't get over how unique it was. The space also provided great relief from the heat. It's been beautifully decorated by Meagan so there was no need to bring anything which helped with rental costs. The reception occurred upstairs in the barn. It was nothing short of magical. Plenty of space for everyone to eat and dance the night away. Again, with all the lights Meagan provides, there wasn't much to do in terms of decorating. Plus the barn is just so beautiful with all its natural light. Out back there is a fire pit where our guests concluded the venue roasting s'mores. There's also an adorable swing in the weeping willow tree. How sweet is that?! If the venue itself hasn't sold you, the team that runs it should. Meagan and John were so incredibly kind and accommodating. They've put a lot of thought into their space and it shows. Nikki, the day of coordinator, was also extremely helpful. She knew just what to do and was always 3 steps ahead, making the day run flawlessly. If we could get married at Starry Night Barn everyday, we would. We had so much fun and there wasn't a thing we would have changed. Again, if you're thinking of booking, look no further and book fast. This place is a gem that is about to be greatly discovered (if it hasn't been already).
