Statue of Design

I recently had my wedding outside of San Antonio, and Statue of Design did all the flowers. It was more than I could ask for! I met with Mindy and David a few times. They really got a feel for my personality and style. They really took the time to get to know me and express my style through the flowers. They are so easy to talk to and work with; very cool/fun meetings! I had an outdoor wedding, and they decorated the alter amazing! It was just stunning to look at and people could not stop talking about it! All of us girls' bouquets were breathtaking with the floral halos. It all came together better than I pictured it. The reception was a show stopper as well with big handmade dream catchers with gold feathers, all hanging from the ceiling over the tables with really cool center pieces! I wish I could post pictures for everyone to see how amazing Statue of Design is! People are still commenting on how beautiful and stunning the wedding was. David and Mindy are a great team. They really think outside the box and give you unique, creative arrangements/decorations. I didn't even have to rent or buy anything extra from another company to decorate. The flowers and dream catchers said it all! You'd be crazy to not use them! Big thanks to Mindy and David!!

David with Statue of Design and his team worked their wonders for my wedding and I will never regret choosing them! They are the most consistent floral designer I have seen and would recommend them to any of my friends and clients. David is always trying new things and that's something I love about him. I really think he can create absolutely anything you ask him to because he did that for me and my husband. I have seriously high expectations and SOD surpassed them all. They are the best!!!

David Garcia with Statue of Design was truly a dream come true!! A few months before my wedding I had fired my previous florist for not being able to deliver creative bouquets and table arrangements. Statue of Design came to the rescue and took my wedding floral to a totally different level. Being from out of town I didn't have the luxury of being able to step into David's shop whenever I wanted. David set up a phone meeting with me to gather up everything I was wanting and thinking about for the floral design. I told him I wanted something dramatic, something classy but with a lot of personality like myself. I told him I wanted Bling Bling and more Bling, with all different types of flowers. I gave him a color pallet to play with and told him to have as much fun as he wanted with it. A few weeks later my husband and I flew to San Antonio, he had a few designs for us to see. I won't forget walking into his shop and seeing 2 different vases, both beautifully designed with gorgeous floral arrangements in them. I questioned hanging candles from from one of the arrangements (the arrangement we went with). David made us think outside the box, he told us about what the table linen should look like to get the look I wanted, he made me imagine how beautiful everything was going to look. I knew I was in the perfect place for the most beautiful floral arrangements ever!!! Words cannot describe how absolutely stunning my bouquet, my bridesmaids bouquets, the seating card table, and the table arrangements looked. You would have seriously died of how beautiful each and every table looked at my wedding!!! My guest were speechless, and still today talk about how beautiful the floral was. Not only was Statue of Design creative and amazing, they were affordable. Compared to the florist I was working with before, whom wanted to charge me an arm and a leg for a Dollar Store vase and cheap wilted flowers, David was amazing at negotiating floral pricing and then some. He and his Statue of Design crew set up everything the day of and even came after my wedding reception was over at 3:00am to take everything down!!! Now that's a company that deserves an A++. If your looking for unique floral ideas, fun, fresh, and gorgeous floral designs, Statue of Design is the place to go!!!! By far the best experience of my life. David Garcia makes David Tutera look like an amateur.

David and his team at SOD are simply wonderful! From my initial meeting with them to my wedding day a year later we had a great experience. Their vision is unique and their artistic ability with floral is unsurpassed! I had a "white wedding" theme which can sometimes look boring or dull but not when SOD got ahold of it! I've never seen such beautiful & creative arrangements with white flowers (and i'm not just being bias bc it was my wedding). They truly took my wedding to another level! Even their glassware and accessories to display the flowers in are unique and beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone no matter what the theme or occasion. They will forever be my go-to florist!

I used both Statue of Design's floral design and wedding planning services, and was extremely happy with both! PLANNING Ramon was incredible! Hiring him to help me plan our reception was the best decision I made. I could not have imagined having to plan and coordinate it all myself, especially since I was planning from out of town. He was very easy to work with and even worked with me to create a special package of services since I was having a non-traditional wedding. (My husband and I got married a couple months prior to this San Antonio reception with only our immediate family present. We now needed help planning a reception for our friends and extended family.) Ramon and I reviewed my vision for the reception, and he successfully helped me accomplish that. I really trusted him and felt like he had a perfect understanding of what I wanted. He had great recommendations and advice; I really appreciated his expertise. When I arrived to the venue that day, the space looked even better than I had imagined! It was such a relief to not have to worry about the timeline of the evening, or coordinating all of the vendors arrival and setup times. Ramon took care of everything so my husband and I could just enjoy our night with our friends and family. My family has been through 4 weddings now, and as my dad - who is a hard man to impress :) - said Ramon was by far the best planner our family had seen. FLORAL I could not have been more happy with the flowers David and the Statue of Design team provided for our wedding! David was extremely creative and thought "outside of the box" to come up with inventive arrangements and displays. He even created a wall of handmade paper flowers that ended up being our photo booth backdrop. I got so many compliments on the floral design and am so thrilled that I chose them to do our flowers. David is extremely talented and I would recommend him to anyone needing floral for their wedding, especially if you are on the more creative side and wanting something special or unique.

Maria took my ideas and ran with them!! She put her own personal touch onto a larger vision of the arrangements that I had in mind, adding incredible details that made everything pop! I provided tons (approx. 250) of vases, vintage bottles, etc. for an eclectic arrangement that spread down each long family style table and she hand cut and selected each bloom that went into the vases. It made for an amazing array of color that went on forever! Her attention to detail, careful selection and placement of each vase and each flower, and her soft touch with the type of flowers used to make it romantic and bohemian in feel, were incredible! Seeing the tables with her flowers when I got to the venue completely wiped away all of my nervousness because my vision was not only carried out, but enhanced. I had and have complete faith in Statue of Design to not only make flowers that perfect a vision for a reception, but make it better! Plus, they're all kind, professional, organized, and creative!

In many ways, our wedding was not traditional, and we needed a florist who was creative enough to work in the crazy universe we created. My husband and I were almost at the end of our rope until we checked out David and the Statue of Design team. As a bride, I was no delicate flower. As a groom, my better half wanted flowers that were badass. Coming from fashion and architecture backgrounds, my husband and I really wanted something different when it came to our floral arrangements. Design school made snobs out of both of us, so finding the right floral designer who could think outside of the box was absolutely essential. We needed someone who was extremely reliable as we were planning our San Antonio, TX wedding from our home in Brooklyn, NY. The task seemed impossible until we found David and Statue of Design. David provided lots of great ideas and worked with our tiny budget. He went above and beyond by creating custom welded pieces for our wedding. We were blown away by his flexibility and imagination. I told him I wanted a mix of John Waters meets Texas/ rustic, and the result was nothing short of the beautiful amazing insanity we wanted to achieve. Simply put, the man is a genius, and you would be in great hands trusting him and his team. A word of advice to those looking to save: provide as much as you can so you can afford more flowers. We were able to provide our own wine bottles and a couple of other decorative elements that the Statue of Design team incorporated with the floral. The result was pure magic without having to go bankrupt.

I loved working with David from Statue of Design! The service and quality of work were fabulous - from the initial consultation, during which he helped my wedding planner and me come up with creative ideas, to the actual execution the day of the wedding. I appreciated the fact that David didn't want my wedding to look like every other wedding, he wanted to help make sure that the flowers were unique and fit our wedding, venue, etc.

I used David and his Statute of Design team for my destination wedding in Zacatecas, Mexico and it was amazing. Not only were David and the team full of creative, elegant, beautiful ideas, they executed them wonderfully. They were able to secure flower wholesalers abroad and procured the best flowers for my wedding. They were always thinking ahead and had a contingency plan in case anything didn't work out as planned. I always felt sure that they would execute my vision for my wedding beautifully. When we had a last minute problem with my outdoor venue, some unpredictable windy weather and the bases I had chosen, David came up with a creative solution that looked amazing with our venue. Everyone kept saying how gorgeous our flower arrangements were!

My husband and I used Statue of Design for our flowers and centerpieces and also for their wedding planning services and it was the best decision we ever made. All my guests kept saying how elegant our wedding was and how smooth everything went, and I tell them it's because of Statue of Design. David made gorgeous floral displays, centerpieces, and bouquets. He had unique, creative ideas which really made my centerpieces feel one of a kind. The flowers were beautiful and fresh, and the arrangements were stunning. Ramon, the wedding coordinator, made sure everything went off without hitch. I didn't have to worry about a thing and could fully enjoy the day. He was incredibly organized and professional, he even took me aside to bustle my dress when he saw I was having trouble dancing in it. I can't say enough wonderful things about this team, they literally made the wedding of my dreams come true.

Statue of Design made my wedding day so special. The flowers they arranged were absolutely gorgeous. The flowers were a great selection and very fresh. They gave my summer wedding a great pop of color. I had wanted something different and unique and that is what they provided for me. They were very professional and most of all trustworthy. Their whole team is beyond talented and were willing to help with whatever you needed. If something needed some more attention they were willing to do it. They just wanted to make me happy and make sure they made the vision come together. I would definitely use Statue of Design again for future events.

David and his staff created the most beautiful flower arrangements for our ceremony and reception. The flowers completely met and exceeded all our expectations. They were the most original and elegant flower arrangements I've honestly ever seen. If you're looking for a florist , this is it!!

This vendor was highly recommended by my wedding coordinator as she had used them many times before and thought they would be a great fit. She was right! I didn't know much about flowers so we let David take the reigns and it was one of the best decisions we made! I can not put into words how beautiful the flowers were. They were cascading from trees outside, lining the chandeliers throughout the room, the most beautiful colors and presentation I have EVER seen. Tons of guests were commenting on how gorgeous the room was, my bouquet, everything. They exceeded our expectations and were wonderful to work with. To say they were amazing is an understatement. David did a wonderful job with our flowers. He's so laid back and creative! Just a few weeks before the wedding I changed our colors and he was more than happy to sit down with me again and change the flowers. Everything turned out beautiful and unique. He also helped me choose options to keep the price as low as possible! Great local business!
