t song for us because the part we liked was too short for the walk. He made it work perfectly! We had a diverse crowd at our wedding but was still able to get everyone dancing! We had certain songs that we wanted played during the cocktail hour and dinner. Based on that, he was able to pick up on our vibe perfectly and build the rest of his playlist around those songs to create the exact atmosphere we were going for.

He's laid back and easy going and knows music regardless of genre - whether you want to leave direction fully in his hands or share playlists to guide the evening. We provided a sample playlist and input on the type of music / vibe we were going for and he nailed it! Having only chatted with Jake a few times prior to our wedding (we planned from a far), the night of felt like our best friend who knows us in and out was leading the show. We could not recommend him more and all of our guests have said the same.

He was quick to respond, answered all of our questions and even offered us suggestions since the space would be limited. We really wanted someone who was personable and can get our few guests on the dance floor, and he did just that! He was open to the type of music we wanted played and open to all song requests. Our guests complemented on the music and how much fun they had dancing - we even had guests that weren't with our party come up and start dancing with us because they just couldn't resist! Jake made our day so much more memorable!

ower sources. Jake came with all the necessary equipment to make sure he could operate at our location. Before the big day Jake sent us a google doc to include information about our big day. This included songs we wanted to play throughout the day (processional, recessional, first dance, etc.). We also got to choose most, if not all, of the songs we wanted played at our reception. Which during the reception he followed through with our list. :) My husband and I- as well as my parents- received NUMEROUS positive comments from guests about “the DJ.” Most comments included how great he did! The vibe during the reception was FUN! He stayed until the very end of the night to play us our private last dance song. I would absolutely recommend Steady Jake DJ for your wedding day or other large event for all your music needs!

He worked closely with my wife and I to understand our music preferences (as well as what we didn’t want!) to get a sense of the exact aesthetic we had in mind for our wedding and he absolutely nailed it. Not only were my wife and I happy about the music selection and ceremony, we had many wedding guests mention how great SteadyJake was in the following days (they are still talking about it a few months later). We had some pretty specific requests, especially when it came to our ceremony, that SteadyJake was happy to work with us on and accommodate. He truly takes the time to get to know you and your preferences so he can execute the exact kind of celebration you have envisioned. In addition to all that he was quite easy to work with and get a hold of in the lead-up to our wedding. Do yourself and wedding guests a favor and book him now!

Dj Jake was amazing to work with and always consistent with responding promptly to any questions prior to our wedding. He was very accommodating to all our music requests we had during the ceremony and cocktail hour; we had cover songs during our ceremony that he didn't previously have and made no fuss about finding and having everything the way we hoped. If we were to ever do another event in the Jackson area, Dj Steady Jake would be our first call! 10/10 recommend!!!

He was also flexible as we asked him to do the ceremony in addition to the reception only a few months before the day! It was so easy to coordinate the songs lists, as we made 2 playlists on spotify (one our favorites, and one our guest requests), so he could play the perfect amount of both during the reception! He was enthusiastic about our music choices and vision for the night, and he knew exactly how to feel the vibe of the room and get everyone excited, enthusiastic, and on the dance floor. He was honest about what he needed, called me the day before to discuss anything that may be an issue and or what he could do to help make it breezier for us and was super supportive the entire time. e ceremony and reception was seamless, and everyone had the best of time. It was great to be able to share playlists with him, and he just used his experiences to make all of the music perfect. Sound was wonderful too- that is one thing you see go wrong with DJs.. is the feedback, reverberation or just off-tune music. You won’t get any of that with Jake! If I were to do the wedding all over again I would hire him! Here’s to maybe a 10 year renewal!!

rst rescheduled from 2020 to 2021 due to COVID restrictions. He was able to switch dates with no issues. We had a live performer for the first dance and he was accommodating with set up to his sound system and making our first dance sound incredible and then being able to jump right into the father-daughter and mother-son dance with his system. We also had a hiccup with our photograph time due to weather and had to sneak away during the reception to finish this. He was able to keep guests entertained during this time and able to pick up our scheduled timeline as soon as we were done. He was able to read the room and play music that kept people on the dance floor. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the Teton and surrounding areas.
