Steam Whistle Letterpress and Design

We first discovered Brian and Steam Whistle as most great wedding planning occurs - by accident. We immediately fell in love with the work coming out of the shop. But our wedding was in Philadelphia...and our designer in Chicago...This was never a problem for Steam Whistle. They worked to coordinate with our designer and us to devise a tremendous wedding print cache - even though we were 7+ hours away! Their attitude and demeanor through the process was amazing - and their creative insights really helped form the end result in ways we never imagined were possible on our budget. We were blown away once we saw the work in person. Our family has operated an historic handmade tool business for over 200 years, so you can imagine how thrilled we were to discover the care in the process Brian utilizes. Every invitation, RSVP, envelope, etc. was printed by hand - on historic equipment Brian refurbished and put back to work. While it was never a priority to seek out this process, it certainly made a difference we can see and appreciate. Very few places "do it" like Steam Whistle does these days. It felt really great to receive an amazing product, support a small business and know that the information about our special day was not simply a pending file in a factory print queue. Brian brought a knowledge, dialogue and skill set to developing and printing our materials that frankly we could never have received from an online print warehouse.
