We were given great advice for wedding planning: pick 2-3 things you really care about, invest in those decisions, and let others help contribute toward the smaller decisions. There are so many decisions you can make in a wedding and it can be very fatiguing at times! Picking a great photographer was one of the things we cared most about. We were recommended Chris Steele by our vendor, and we couldn’t have chosen anyone better for the job! He is the definition of a professional. On top of that, his photos are amazing! We booked an engagement session with him as well—I highly suggest doing this as it gives you an opportunity to get to know your photographer and increases your comfort on the big day. Plus, you only have one time to be engaged and it’s fun to take pictures in your own clothes in addition to your fancy wedding attire. Chris has solid communication skills—we met on the phone with him to solidify our timeline of the day and he was great at coordinating with our venue staff and DJ in such a way that it took the stress off of us and we could be present for our day. We both have very large families and he was able to direct them efficiently so we could get all of the family shots we wanted plus more. He is extremely kind and helpful. Our photos captured our natural selves and have a genuine spirit about them—that largely has to do with how at ease we were with Chris. He’s super fun and made us feel comfortable. Neither of us are naturals at posing, but we felt great with Chris encouraging us, directing us, and overall making us feel comfortable to be ourselves and take in this special day. We will continue to recommend Chris to all of our friends and family; he is the best!

Steele Photography was truly amazing. Chris made the process of working together very easy and it felt like a true collaboration. He was as invested as we were in creating our timeline, ensuring we had time for the photos we wanted, and understanding our wedding photography priorities. He was very patient, and as a couple we are generally very awkward and have a tendency to pull silly faces the minute a camera is in our vicinity. Chris knew exactly how to make us feel like we were just hanging out with a friend!!! And not to mention his beautiful work. I can’t recommend him enough.

Wow, what an amazing photographer! The day was such a whirlwind, but Chris did an incredible job capturing all of the most important moments, helping us stay calm and focused, and sticking to the photo timeline. Chris was absolutely wonderful to work with! He was professional, kind and provided comedic relief on our stressful/beautiful day. Chris was well prepared as he ensured we had our meetings to go over details; he was always available through email for questions. I heard from numerous family members how great he was! Now the photos… Our photos were returned in a timely manner, on a beautiful and easy to use website. Our photos are gorgeous! Timeless! We could not be happier! Chris was worth every penny and more! Highly recommend. We were planning a destination wedding in Oregon so we had an initial zoom meeting with Chris and right from the start it was evident that he was the right person. He was personable and was genuinely interested in us as a couple and what our needs were. We got a package that included an engagement shoot and I’m so glad we did. It was great to be able to meet Chris in person before our wedding to be able to get used to being in front of the camera and become accustom to his shooting style. It also allowed us to get to know him better and when it came time for the wedding, we genuinely enjoyed having him there. A few weeks before the wedding we had a call with him to go over details for the wedding, answer any questions we had, and work out a timeline for the day of our wedding. And then he finalized the day of timeline with our coordinator without us having to do any extra work. The day of the wedding went so perfectly! Since he only uses other professional photographers with their own businesses as second shooters (so you know you’re getting high quality work) we got a second shooter. This allowed more of the day to be photographed and more details to be shot. Chris’s professionalism really shined during the family photos part of the day. He was able to get through them quickly and efficiently. Our engagement and wedding photos are exactly what we had hoped for; light, airy, and beautiful. We’re so grateful to have them as keepsakes from these special days for the rest of our lives.

We got very lucky snagging Chris's last available Saturday in July and we are so happy we did. Chris was very open, honest, and answered most of our questions before we even had a chance to ask them. We ended up hiring an additional photographer as part of our package and he and Zoe did such an amazing job. I've never loved being in front of the camera, but both of them were the perfect combination of warm and professional. When we got our photos back, we could not stop looking through them. They were so beautiful and we can not wait to have these to remember such a special day. We also opted for the album and are so grateful that we did. We were so excited to find Chris for our engagement and wedding photos. He was so helpful in capturing our large family at our wedding. He was knowledgeable about the event timing and was able to guide us in our planning process so we could capture every moment we wanted. We can't thank Chris enough for everything he's done to capture such important moments in our lives. From the first day we met Chris, we felt an instant connection with him. He is fun to chat with, so joyful and funny, and matched our vibes of relaxed and cheerful but also very detail oriented. We hired him for our wedding and engagement photos and couldn't be happier. Chris is one of the best! He photographed my brother’s wedding four years ago and did a phenomenal job. When my husband and I got engaged, he was the first vendor we called - he is that good! He provided us with a lot of guidance in advance of our day from the timeline, to photo locations, to other vendor recommendations. He was super responsive to all of our inquiries and day of he was on time! Our bridal party loved working with him. He was great at making everyone laugh and provided constructive feedback so everyone felt comfortable. We got a few sneak peek photos on the day and can’t wait to see the whole gallery. We cannot wait to see our pictures! Chris was such a pleasure to work with, kept our day organized, and somehow managed to be everywhere at once. He was kind, easy to talk to, chose locations that were conducive to good lighting even though the majority of our photos happened in the middle of the day. We were at Abbey Road Farms, a new location for him, and he got there early to scope out photo spots, helped us with a boutonniere mishap right before photos, and rearranged our planned photo order when our hair and makeup timeline was off. We are so grateful we chose him to be there on our day and are excited to show off his work in a few weeks!

I can't say enough great things about Chris and Steele Photography. He was honestly one of the easiest and best choices we made for our Big Day! Starting with our engagement photos, he immediately made us feel at ease and enjoy the moment which in turn made our photos look so natural. On our Wedding Day, I showed up stressed and rushed, and he immediately did what he could to assure me that we will get everything in and that it will all run smoothly. My wife and I loved every minute of working with Chris and adore the amazing photos he took of us! From our first call with him, through our engagement shoot and final wedding planning, and finally on the day of the wedding, Chris consistently showed not only his photography expertise, but was also extremely communicative, organized, and simply a joy to be around. Hiring Chris was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process! What we loved about Chris was how personable and attentive he was. He made us feel comfortable and at ease during our engagement photo session and picked a space that reflected our desire for a "fall, leaf filled" session. The photos were incredibly beautiful, we love them, and our entire family/friends were in love with them. On the wedding day we felt so comfortable with Chris it felt more like he was one of the guests that our vendor. Our guests at the wedding kept telling us how much they loved him! Again our wedding photos were beautiful and our family/friends all love them. Our wedding was in April 2021 and covid was an ever-present threat but Chris was very flexible and willing to work with us if our plans were delayed (thankfully, they were not). There are many choices couples can make for a wedding photographer and the process of selecting one can be overwhelming. If you hire Chris you can feel confident knowing you made a great choice. He has so much experience, so much enthusiasm/dedication to what he does and knows how to make couples feel comfortable and look amazing on their wedding day!

Chris is amazing at what he does! He really goes above and beyond to make sure you're happy with his work. We hired him as a 1 man service, but he did the job of about 3. Not sure how he did it, but he captured every angle of every moment. You can tell he does this with passion, not just because of the paycheck. Highly recommend!

Steele Photography was recommended to us by a co-worker, and we have no regrets! The photographer, Chris, is an easy going and friendly person, who knows how to make his clients comfortable in front of the camera. Our destination engagement session at the Columbia Gorge and our wedding photos turned out lovely. I cant say enough great things about Chris. jD and Chris are amazing photographers! They are easy and fun to work with, very professional and know how to make you feel comfortable while taking your photos. It felt like we knew them for years! They know how to get different angles while working simultaneously together all at the same time, giving you more time with your guests! The website that they have for you to access your photos after the wedding is extremely easy to use and they have great instructions that come with them. Their creativity is all in the details. The way they take photos of you, your rings, anything you want - it turns out beautifully. I would definitely recommend them as being your photographer.

I don't even know where to begin. Steele Photography was AMAZING! I had the pleasure of meeting Chris and JD a few years ago at a wedding show that I was modeling in. I loved their personalities and they made everyone feel so comfortable when taking photos. When I got engaged, they were the first people I reached out to. I didn't even consider any other photographers because I knew they were the ones. My husband and I had such a great time working with them from the meetings beforehand to the engagement session to the wedding day. We had so much fun and our shoots were filled with laughter. Chris and jD are an absolute DREAM to work with. They are organized, efficient, and are on point the entire day. We didn't do an engagement shoot with them and they still fit seamlessly into our wedding day. They made pictures fun when family members were being difficult, were extremely diplomatic when making sure we stayed on time, and kind, encouraging, and warm when we needed some extra love. We are OBSESSED with our pictures and love every single one. Seriously, they are so good! I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone but they do book up fast. We have nothing but amazing things to say about Chris and JD! They have such great chemistry together which allows them to get a wide variety of beautiful shots that we fell in love with from our engagement and wedding sessions. We loved working with JD and Chris! We were literally laughing the whole time! My husband and I were worried about feeling awkward and we NEVER felt that way at all! Between all the vendors and the coordinators we found Steele photography to BE the center focus ( aside from my beautiful bride of course ) of our wedding. They were beyond professional and even fun and entertaining to be around in between shots. They even took the time to offer us water, which was very thoughtful and meant a lot to my wife. It's the little things that they did and the thoughtfulness they showed that made our day perfect. They are just the kind of people that want to be friends with. We had worked with them during our engagement photos and were thrilled and anxious to have them do our wedding photos! They were worth every penny and they found a way to freeze our special day in time. Any time I want to relive our magical day I turn to the photos. Every angle and every bit of light is accounted for. These photographers are a pro's pro. Even living with a great photographer, she was amazed at the quality of the photos. I honestly cannot say enough about Chris and jD as our wedding photographers. There are so many aspects that make them people you should know and be friends with, as well as a worthy investment, that makes it hard to narrow down to just a few. In our case, Chris and jD were very receptive and so empathetic to our needing to book photographers last minute due to some unforeseen circumstances in my Dad's health. They immediately felt like friends from our first meeting and it was such a relief in the chaos of throwing a wedding together in less than three months to have such confidence in the team documenting your wedding day. Leading up to the wedding the communication was stellar and very easy to follow so that they could compile a detailed day-of timeline. They were integral to keeping the entire day on schedule with their plan on how to get the shots they needed, while also allowing us to enjoy our wedding guests as much as possible. They were fun, talented, and efficient at snapping the shots they knew would be killer; intuitive and skilled at fading into the background when moments with family members, the bridal party, and each other were happening to allow us to be in the moment. My husband and I have never felt more comfortable being in front of the camera, and we LOVE every single shot they captured. I could seriously gush all day, but really their pictures speak for themselves. Bottom line: if for no other reason, you should get married in the Portland area just for their photography. You won't be sorry.

jD and Chris are seriously the best! I found them on instagram and fell in love with their work. Then we met them in person and liked them even more. They are a great team and do a beautiful job capturing who people really are. They love dogs too, so that's a bonus. Our wedding pictures are absolutely stunning. No joke we love every single one of them. They include engagement photos with all their packages which is AWESOME because not only do you get fabulous pictures from the best day of your life (your wedding), but you get photos of you being "regular people" (engagement shoot) and I promise you'll cherish those pictures too.

We are SO happy to have had jD and Chris as our wedding photographers!! They are INCREDIBLE photographers and amazing down-to-earth people as well which made it so much easier to relax and be ourselves in front of the camera (which was very important to us as we are super awkward and they made us look so good!) Their professionalism and experience was invaluable on our wedding day to help keep things moving smoothly and they are great at directing people to ensure they get every important shot. Also they are great at giving tips and directions (about fixing clothes/hair, posture, etc) to make every shot look perfect. After all the work we put into all the personal elements of our day, the Steele's amazing attention to detail captured it all. Through out the whole day they were right there to photograph every moment, yet were not intrusive at all so in the moment you hardly noticed they were there snapping away! It's true what they say that the day just flies by and you definitely want awesome people like jD and Chris there to capture it all for you!! Choosing the right/best photographer was at the top of my list when we started planning. I was so excited to book the Steele's that we hadn't even finalized the venue/date when I contacted them to reserve a date and I have absolutely no regrets!

We LOVE our photos! We had a wonderful experience working with Steele. They are responsive, super friendly with a positive, upbeat attitude, and very clear with expectation setting. They walked us through the process of our experience and ensured that we understood that before our wedding. They gave us a realistic timeframe for when the photos wold be ready, and they delivered on time. My husband and I can't say enough great things about Steele Photography. Chris and JD took amazing photos of our outdoor vineyard wedding. They have a great eye for framing a shot just right (like pointing out when my hair was slightly askew, or telling my husband to relax his smile) that made our photos look perfect. It was a bright sunny day outside, which can be challenging in pictures, and the lighting in the shots looked wonderful. They were detailed in making sure we got the shots of all our key family members, in a style that felt comfortable to us. Highly recommend them!

Cannot say enough how happy we are/were with jD and Chris! They were our first vendor that we signed with because photography was our most important part of our wedding day. They met us for happy hour to make sure we were a good fit, and we fell instantly in love with their photography style and personalities! We decided to let them pick our destination engagement location and could not have been happier! They spent more time with us than we were originally quoted because they wanted the perfect lighting. Pictures were beautiful! Pre-wedding day they worked with us on our timeline- helped out so much! Day of the wedding, Chris and jD made sure everything was perfect for us as they knew exactly what we wanted! They were even in on our surprise get away! Cannot wait for our wedding day pictures as they were always looking out for the perfect shots throughout the whole day. Would STRONGLY recommend them! They are the perfect team!!

WOW, where to start. During our wedding planning process, we were told multiple times that finding the right photographer is one of the most important things. After going through the whole process and just finishing our wedding I could not agree more. We had such an AMAZING experience with both JD and Chris. Having not only two amazing photographers but a husband and wife team for our big night made such a difference because they worked so well with each other, were able to focus on different things, and catch moments from different perspectives which we loved. We had a pretty wild bridal party and a large extended family and they were awesome while working with everyone and coordinating all the different group shots. They were fun, energetic, and you could tell had a lot of passion for what they were doing. One of my favorite things about the night with them was how active they were in the reception. Not only were they always available if my wife or I wanted to grab a picture with friends or family, but there were times when we would be laughing and enjoying great conversation at a table and I would look up and see either JD or Chris locked in taking photos of those moments. After the event we had so many people call us to tell us how much fun they had, and everyone mentioned JD and Chris and how awesome they were and how they got some great pictures throughout the night. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to work with JD and Chris and I hope this helps you make the same great decision we did. If you are considering wedding photographers or not sure who to go with I would without a doubt say stop looking and book Steele Photography NOW! They were everything we could have asked for and some. JD & Chris- Thank you again for everything, you guys were wonderful!

Choosing our wedding photographers was seriously the hardest decision we had to make with our planning. We met with 4 amazing Portland photographers and truly all of them had beautiful portfolios. I'm not completely sure what made us ultimately go with the Steeles because it was just a *feeling* that we had the moment after we left our meeting over a pint. We had to reschedule our engagement photo shoot a couple of times due to the beautiful spring PNW weather we had, but the photos were so worth the wait. With our gorgeous engagement photos, we picked many of them to create a guestbook. This guestbook is so beyond beautiful that our guests weren't aware they were supposed to sign it (so maybe make a sign in a frame with directions). Thankfully jD or Chris realized this and got the word out to guests. Chris and jD got to our hotel 2 hours before our ceremony time to take detail photos and getting ready photos. They fit in so well with our groups and seamlessly took photos without us really realizing. We didn't have too many formal photos in our church and they were able to take the ones that we did want in no time. We had to ad-lib due to a shorter than expected ceremony and they both were great at getting some photos of our impromptu receiving line. We had a bit of cold and rain during our couple pictures and it didn't seem to bother them at all. They did not miss a single thing at our reception, even when a friend of my mom's dropped to the dance floor to show off her signature dance move - "The Gator". My MIL wanted to get a photo of her cousins and they were so great at making sure that happened. We don't have our photos back yet, only the #usie that they take at each wedding they photograph. The #usie is such a great small thing that captures the bond that Chris and jD make with their couples. At one point near the end of the evening, my husband was worried that they had left already and forgot the usie. They would NEVER forget an usie. We are (somewhat) patiently waiting our photos and look forward to seeing them when they are perfect for our eyes!

My husband and I used Chris and JD for our engagement and wedding photos, and I feel like it was the best decision we made as we planned our wedding (besides actually getting married!) Our photos are absolutely magical, and it was so fun and easy working with both of them; they made us feel so comfortable and confident during the photo shoots. I admire their professionalism, and their expertise as well. They really know what they're doing and I give them 100% of my trust. They are the best photographers out there! Chris and J.D. know exactly what they are doing and we enjoyed every second we spent with them. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for photographers for their wedding would look into Steele. We also recommend doing either the destination engagement session or regular engagement session. It's a cool extra that they put in for their customers. The number one thing that I would say Steele has going for them is the fact that they are constantly working during the time they are with you. They work very hard and it doesn't go unnoticed. I would highly recommend at least looking into them as a photography option. You won't be dissatisfied.

Chris and JD are the most amazing team. My husband and I are both rather camera-shy, but from our very first meeting we felt instantly relaxed. We did an engagement session about 6 months before the wedding and it was great practice for the big day. Also the pictures were amazing! Chris and JD coach you on how to be the best model and make you feel so much more confident. They were able to get every photo that I wanted on our wedding day and in a timely manner - our day would have been off schedule without them. I'm so looking forward to our wedding pictures. Chris and JD were truly the best investment for our wedding.

We just had our engagement session with JD & Chris and it was amazing! I'm plus size and generally very anxious in front of the camera, but JD & Chris coached my fiance and I through each pose and put us at ease. We're still waiting to see our photos (it hasn't been long since our shoot), but I just had to leave a good review for Steele Photography because we loved Chris & JD so much! We're excited to see our engagement photos back and we're even more excited for Chris & JD to shoot our wedding! Pick these guys! They rock!

My fiancé and I just had our engagement session with Steele and it was magical! Chris and jD helped us pick an awesome location for our photos, since we had trouble thinking of local spots. They made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera(s), and we had an absolute blast hanging out and laughing with them during our session! Chris and jD definitely know exactly what they are doing, so we didn't have to worry about a thing. Not only are they fun, hilarious, and easygoing, but they are also very professional and efficient. As we were leaving the session, all we could talk about was how much fun we had and how glad we are that we chose them as our photographers! We are extremely excited to see the photos, and to see Chris and jD again for our wedding!

Chris and JD are so amazing! We met them and didn't even meet with any other photographers. They drove all the way to Bend from Portland to take our engagement pictures there and spent all afternoon with us! They communicated so well and were always responsive. The day of the wedding they were on time and talked us through everything. I wasn't feeling well after the ceremony so they rearranged the timing so we could do our couple pictures during the reception. We can't even come up with enough positive things to say about them - best wedding decision we made!

We won an engagement photo session with jD and Chris and we are so lucky that we did! They are wonderful to work with and take spectacular photos. We were very nervous as we don’t normally like to have photo sessions, but this lovely husband and wife team made us feel relaxed and comfortable right away. They began by asking us questions about our relationship to get to know us better and to take photos that matched with us as a couple. Typically, they meet with their clients beforehand, but given our unique situation, we met at the site. Still, right away they were able to connect with us and even before the first photos were taken my fiancé and I felt like they were one of our friends. Throughout the photo session they talked to us, made us laugh, and even laughed at our corny jokes. We were having so much fun and loving every moment it. They even accommodated our request to take pictures with our cat back at our apartment. We will definitely hire jD and Chris for our future wedding and family photos.

Steele Photography is a funtabulous duo that my husband and I had an amazing time working with. We knew we wanted extraordinary quality photographs since that would be the everlasting keepsake from our magical day. We learned of Steele Photography through our friends and fell in love with their work. We basically fell in love with them when we met over a Skype interview. They're easy to warm up to and feel like ourselves in front of the camera, which was new for us. These guys will fight for your perfect shots and they're very creative and communicative with helping to get the shots you want. I already miss these two as I'm writing this review. The photos got back to us very quickly. I've heard of other vendors taking months and months but that's not an issue with this duo. Now we have gorgeous photos and some of them were even featured! The photos are PHENOMENAL! Chris and jD managed to capture every aspect of our wedding and made a beautiful story with those photos. Looking through that gallery was just like reliving our wedding day! Chris and jD Steele are dream-makers. They have an eye for beauty and artistry that is undeniable. Not only are they incredible photographers, but also truly genuine people. Chris and jD helped guide my husband and I through the whole process-- from day one to the big day. Planning a wedding can be very stressful, but the Steeles have established a system of organization that alleviates the uncertainty and panic. I can be a very anxious person, but jD and Chris were very supportive, almost like a best friend who happens to take absolutely stunning pictures! You are not just another gig to the Steeles, you become their friend, their family; shooting your wedding is not just a perfunctory job, it's an experience for all, filled with laughter and love. These guys are seriously fantastic! I am so glad I booked them as my wedding photographers. They were so professional, so easy-going, so on point. I actually got compliments on them from other guests throughout the wedding, just saying that every time anything happens, they’ve noticed the photographers, in the background, getting every single shot. I knew I wanted two photographers, but these two are a seriously good team. They worked so well off each other throughout the entire wedding. They took tons of beautiful getting ready shots. They asked me for a list of any particular photos I wanted and then went out of their way to make sure they got them. We breezed through the formals and didn’t hold people up too long. Never did anyone have to go find the photographers; they were always right there, capturing every little moment. When I got my photos, there were tons that I didn’t even realize they were taking. I can’t believe how good my photos look, and there are so many! And I know people always say there are a ton because lots are blurry or out-of-focus or at a bad angle. But this is absolutely not the case. There is not one single blurry or out-of-focus picture. There are maybe 10 or 20 that are kind of boring…out of hundreds and hundreds. You have to actually go out of your way to find a photo that is…meh, ok. There isn’t a single photo that is actually bad, or has red eye, or that I wouldn’t be happy to have hanging on my wall. I have no idea how I’m possibly going to weed down the number that make it in the album, there are just too many good photos. And hardly any are duplicates, they are almost all totally different photos. These are two of the most professional, talented, and fun-to-work-with wedding photographers in Portland. I absolutely recommend hiring them for your wedding if you want top-of-the-line photos and albums, a stress-free photographer experience, and a really fun day overall.

jD and Chris are SO awesome to work with! They create absolutely GORGEOUS photos! We loved working with a husband and wife duo because they were able to capture close up and distance photos (or different angle photos) of a special moment simultaneously and they were so fun to have! They are so attentive to your wedding and what is important to the bride and groom on their wedding day. Chris and JD's photos were AMAZING. We are so completely in love with our photos. The minute they were available, I just had to show them off and they were all over my instagram immediately. My favorite thing about Steele Photography is that there are 2 photographers. I swear, they can read each other's minds. Chris would tell us to get in a certain position for a picture, and JD would already know what he was envisioning for the photograph. The best part? They worked together for every single photo they took. Chris would take the photos from one angle, while JD would get a completely different angle for the same pose. We would get 2 amazing pictures from one pose. They are such an amazing team who sincerely love what they do. They made us feel so comfortable and confident while taking our pictures. Even though we were both nervous while taking pictures, Chris and JD know how to make those nerves go away. They helped us focus on the happiness of our big day and the love we have for each other- and our pictures prove it. I highly recommend Chris and JD no matter what you want pictures for. As a side note for BRIDES: JD takes amazing care of the bride. She is so attentive to your needs and will not let you lift a finger. She takes car elf everything you need. If you are thirsty and need water from taking pictures in the 97 degree weather, JD has an ice cold water bottle in her purse for you. If you think you lost your bouquet because you set it down and cannot remember where it went, JD was holding it for you the entire time. If you want to change from your heels to your flats because your feet hurt, JD runs to get your flats before you are even done with that sentence. JD takes care of you as a bride and makes your day as stress free as possible. Honestly, JD took better care for me than my bridesmaids or maid of honor did. Thank you JD- I greatly appreciated all the little things you did for me as a bride.

Chris and JD are the best photographers, EVER! I didn't waste my time meeting with other photographers because I knew instantly when I saw them at a bridal convention, that they were the ones for us. They have been doing this for a while, especially Chris, so I was comfortable enough to put complete trust in them. Chris kept us on time throughout the day and I loved how JD focused on the tiny details. They both are very professional and serious about their job but they know how to have fun as well. We currently have our engagement album and are extremely happy with how beautiful it turned out. Our wedding pictures are to die for and I cannot stop looking at them! I highly recommend Steele Photography! We used them for our engagement and wedding photos, and they did an amazing job on both. The wedding photos really captured every detail of our day, and are so much fun to look at! I sent an email to make sure they didn't have any qualms about shooting a Love is Love wedding. They responded and scheduled a online meeting so they could explain the different packages and actually "meet" us. We ended up getting the package that included the engagement session and they worked us in when we went out to Oregon to see our venue. It has been an absolute pleasure working with these two! I do not know enough words to talk about how awesome JD and Chris of CL Steele Photography are. Pictures are what you look back on to remember the day, and photography was the most important thing for us. We literally looked at the blogs and portfolios of over 70 photographers. We were so happy when we came across these two. From the moment we met them we loved them. We met at a Starbucks for a meet and greet and they put us at ease. They brought albums from previous weddings and we really got to talk and get to know each other. We knew that they were the people we wanted to be around on our big day. We got a package that included an engagement session. The whole session went perfectly, we felt so comfortable, and it was a lot of fun. When we got the final images from the session it made us even more excited to have them there for the wedding. Their pictures were stunning and they really captured "us". The best part is these pictures were turned into a guestbook (that we got to help pick the pictures for) for the wedding. Fast forward to the big day. We woke up that morning and said to each other "I am kind of excited to see Chris and JD." They showed up on time and did their thing. As a bride, I really appreciated JD's attention to detail. A perfect picture can be ruined by a fly away hair or bad posture. JD catches these things so the pictures can turn out exactly how you want them. They really go above and beyond. Not only do the take amazing pictures, but at one point JD ran to fetch my bouquet that I had left in my getting ready room.
