We had our wedding reception at Steeple Hall at Mission Oak Grill last weekend, and it was everything we could have imagined and more! Nik and his entire team were absolutely amazi...
ng. They were incredibly accommodating, friendly, and attentive throughout the entire process, making both the planning and the night itself as stress-free as possible.
The food was incredible, the venue looked absolutely gorgeous, and they truly brought my vision for the night to life. Everything came together beautifully, and our guests had such an amazing time!
If you’re looking for a beautiful venue with a hassle-free planning experience and an incredibly accommodating team, I cannot recommend Steeple Hall at Mission Oak Grill enough.
Thank you so much to Nik and the entire team for making our wedding reception so special and memorable! We are so grateful for everything you did to make our night absolutely perfect.
We cannot recommend Steeple Hall enough as a wedding venue. From the beginning, Nik was an experienced, steady, and thoughtful professional, and he made the daunting task of weddin...
g planning feel much more manageable. He helped guide us through the process, kept everything organized, and made us feel confident that the day was in good hands.
On the wedding day itself, Nik and his team were wonderful. The reception ran smoothly, and Nik kept us on schedule while somehow making it feel natural and never like the party was being interrupted. That made a huge difference and allowed us to actually enjoy the night.
The Steeple Hall team also did an amazing job setting up our custom decor and bringing our vision to life, which took a lot of stress off of us. Everything felt so true to what we had envisioned. The service throughout the evening was fantastic, and our guests were very complimentary about both the venue and the food after the wedding.
We also really appreciated how accommodating the team was with dinner options, including vegan meals. It meant a lot to know that our guests with different dietary needs were well taken care of.
We truly had the night of our dreams and would absolutely recommend Steeple Hall to any couple looking for a beautiful, well-run, and supportive wedding venue.
You can't go wrong with Steeple Hall. Nik and His team did an excellent job of making sure our day was special! Nik is a detail-oriented and works in a way that there is as little ...
stress or burden on you in the lead up, and on the big day! It is really nice having a team not only execute an perfect reception, but that are also focused on making sure the couple has a special day for themselves! That can't be understated; it made the day exponentially more special for us.
The food is great, the service is great, and the planning process is very easy yet comprehensive. Seriously, you can't go wrong with Steeple Hall.
I cannot recommend Nik and the Steeple Hall at Mission Oak team highly enough. We had 145 guests for our New Year's Eve wedding and everything went flawlessly. The venue was beauti...
ful, every single member of the team were outstanding and a genuine pleasure to work with, and the food was delicious! Everyone had an amazing time! They accommodated our wishes, the band, the DJ, the photographer, the decorating teams, and our guests like pros, and we had the very best experience. Best day ever! Thanks so much!
Never in our lives could we have imagined a more perfect day. Weddings at Steeple Hall are a couple's dream come true thanks to Nik (wedding coordinator) and his staff. Our wedding...
day went off without a hitch as Nik went above and beyond to make our day special, stress free and memorable.
From our first meeting with Nik, to the day after our wedding when we said goodbye, he made us feel like we were the only couple he was working with. Nik coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors (florist, music, transportation, dessert catering, calligrapher) and made sure that anything behind the scenes was taken care of. He answered every email I sent throughout the process promptly, and often assured me that everything would be taken care of - which it was (this is coming from a Type A bride)!
Once again, I cannot stress enough how perfect the day went. Nik was there for us every step of the way, making sure that we ate our appetizers from cocktail hour, and drinking our signature drinks!
Days after our event, guests were still talking about how amazing the food was and how perfect of a setting Newburyport, MA was (we got married in late October). We cannot recommend this venue enough - it brings tears to our eyes every time we reflect on our special day. Thank you times a million to Nik and his staff!

ry step of the way. The food and staff were better than anyone could ask for. Truly, I feel lucky we found them for they gave our kids a special night indeed!

us prepare for the wedding and coordinating the vendors and day. I am beyond impressed. Not one thing went wrong. ❤️ thank you so much Nikolas and all the staff at Steeple Hall

e for our cocktail hour and dinner (approximately 20 guests total). Cocktail hour service was fantastic and the drinks and appetizers were delicious. When we sat down to eat dinner there were lots of hornets flying around the table. We feared someone would get stung and when we voiced this they instantly moved us inside to the large table in the back for functions. THANK YOU for being SO accommodating to us! We were so grateful! The service staff was completely understanding and so quick to get us moved inside. Dinner was absolutely delicious! Thank you!
For many reasons, we are so glad we chose Steeple Hall as our wedding venue. From the start, they took great care of us and made us feel like VIPs. Our tasting was our favorite p...
art of the planning process, and everything they brought out for us was delicious. On the day, the chefs delivered the same level of quality you would expect at a high end restaurant, and our guests raved about it. The coordinator, Janet, was wonderful to work with and really on top of all the details. She and her team worked closely with us to customize everything to fit our vision. We had originally planned an outdoor ceremony elsewhere, but the weather did not cooperate. We called Janet the morning of our wedding, and we were able to have our ceremony indoors at Steeple Hall instead, no problem. The space worked out beautifully for the ceremony, and within a matter of minutes they flipped the room seamlessly to make the transition into our cocktail hour and reception. The service was outstanding, and the entire staff was friendly and accommodating. We were able to relax and enjoy our day knowing that Janet and her team had everything taken care of. Steeple Hall was the perfect choice for us, and we highly recommend this venue.

ere AMAZING! Janet answered all of my emails within the same day, met with us on site on multiple occasions, coordinated arrival and setup with all of our vendors for us, setup and broke down everything (including all the DIY decor I brought), and really made the day so so special. Because of her I was able to relax and fully enjoy the day, knowing that everything was already taken care of! All of the staff there was amazing, the food is exceptional, and the location can't be beat!
There are so many positive things I can say about the team at Steeple Hall. When we originally booked them as our venue, we signed on with Ashleigh, and we were very excited to wor...
k with her. About 6 months before our wedding, Ashleigh left, and Janet and TJ took over. They handled the transition wonderfully! They catered to everything we asked, and during our reception, managed everything to perfection! In addition, the food, service, decor, and set up were better than I could have dreamed, and we received more compliments than I would have thought possible. Steeple Hall/Mission Oak exceeded all of our expectations!
Elegant! My daughters wedding reception was this past weekend. Steeple Hall was fabulous! The food was excellent- I heard nothing but rave reviews of meals and hors d'oeuvres were...
delicious. The wait staff was attentive - one family member commented that every time she returned to the table her water glass had been refilled with wonderfully chilled filtered water! They accomadated special needs diets (GF, DF)with ease! Even going as far as making a last minute change the day before!!! Right from the very beginning of selectioning the venue, the event coordinator was friendly and gave personal attention to all details! She even sought me out when I dined at the establishments restaurant! And when she unexpectedly had a career move- she stayed on until after our wedding was complete! Her successor was equally friendly and attentive!!! Not a single worry! They were fabulous! They even worked smoothly with timing changes last minute!!!!! Cannot say enough how many rave reviews from my guests ! Only flaw was that with the large group of 170 we did get warm -the turn on the AC 48 hours before an event but when you have such a great DJ you can't help but heat the place up!!!
Loved it!!!!!

anding. Our guests enjoyed haddock and chicken and every meal was beautifully prepared. The hor d'erbs were delicious. The staff are all professional and very courteous. From the kitchen, to the bar staff, to the servers, everyone did their job with the utmost care. Meghan was lovely and did a great job. Ashleigh is amazing. She's a true professional who listened to our vision and made it happen. We had zero stress when it came to the venue and food. Not only that, but Ashleigh made the process fun. We are so happy we went with Steeple Hall.

ve in the styling and set up of the hall. It was so nice to be able to have a space that allowed guests to come in and out as they wished for brunch! Everything was absolutely delicious!
I can not say enough about Steeple Hall and the event coordinator Ashleigh. Since it's the upstairs of a converted 1800s Baptist church it not only offered the elegancy of high cei...
lings and stain glass, but the benefits of the full restaurant, Mission Oak Grill, downstairs. All of our guests remarked on how amazing the food was and how friendly all the staff were. We loved that we were able to choose selections off their normal restaurant menu rather than just generic catering meals.
Ashleigh and her team made the process so easy and relaxing. She was so accommodating, whether offering advice and recommendations, or just being flexible to let me see the space a couple of times during the planning process. She even helped me put out some seating chart fires, when we had eight (yes, eight) guests cancel a week before our wedding. The staff helped set up and breakdown the event, which really allowed us to enjoy our day and not have to worry about packing up centerpieces when the reception ended.
In addition to the beautiful space, it was great to catch our breath in the bridal suite upstairs with a glass of champagne and a beer before joining our guests at the cocktail hour. Would definitely recommend Steeple Hall at Mission Oak!
This is a perfect location for a wedding reception. The room is intimate however the room can easily fit up to 180 guests. The tall ceilings throughout were great for the ambiance ...
and acoustics. The wedding coordinator, Ashleigh, was a great communicator, she stayed in touch and promptly responded to emails and requests. The food was delicious and portions were larger than average for weddings. They catered to several food requests (vegetarian, gluten free and other allergies). Best of all, it was located in the heart of the beautiful Newburyport, MA. We are so happy we chose our wedding reception to be held at Steeple Hall.
My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at Steeple Hall, and a cocktail hour downstairs at Mission Oak. Ahsleigh, the venue coordinator, was a dream to work with. She handl...
ed communication with both my mother and I gracefully, and was so accommodating of my long-distance planning needs. She helped us do exactly what we wanted to do, and helped it all fit our budget and desired feel. Her motto was "You can do just about anything you like. We'll figure out how to do it and what it will cost."
The food was wonderful, the bar menu perfect for our wedding (and flexible to boot), and the staff were so gracious and helpful. The initial price tag was a little shocking, but was so worth it considering the amount of benefits Steeple Hall has. If I had to plan a wedding all over again, I'd book it at Steeple Hall without a second thought.
We picked Steeple Hall for the food. Mission Oak Grill (operated by located downstairs) is one of our favorite restaurants. The food totally lived (and exceeded) our expectations....
The venue itself is absolutely beautifully appointed. Our families are STILL talking about the fun they had and our wedding was 4 months ago!! Ashleigh (our wedding coordinator) was so accommodating with our request for wedding date and menu changes and on our wedding day she made everything run seamlessly!
Steeple Hall at Mission Oak Grill was the perfect location for our spring wedding reception. Ashleigh, the event director was great from the start. She made sure all of the details...
were taken care of and answered all of my questions along the way (even the ridiculous ones). The food was great and the Hall itself was unique in that it was an old church. They worked with me on a menu and price that I was comfortable with and made sure everything was perfect for our big day.
Ashleigh Currier at Steeple Hall was fantastic. She was extremely easy to work with and super helpful. Everything leading up to the wedding was extremely easy and they were super...
flexible.
The location itself is a remodeled church and they did a fabulous job with it. It is modern and streamlined while still keeping the classic details. The pictures there are gorgeous.
It is also a great location... close the Waterfront, town center and a bunch of B&Bs and Inns.
Finally, pricing was great value!!!! After looking at numerous locations and pricing structures this place had the best pricing for what you get and they never tried to make us spend more than we were comfortable with.
Thanks so much for helping make our day so special and beautiful.
Best,
Ashley & Stefan Chase
Our most important criteria was good food and we certainly got it! We received many compliments on the quality of the meal and the prices for the buffet were very affordable. We o...
pted not to use their function room upstairs and had a lunch wedding so we could use the restaurant downstairs. We emailed many times with the manager in the year leading up to the wedding, but found her hospitality to be somewhat lacking during the actual events. Whenever we approached her with questions during the meal she was rather stand-offish, almost rude at times. She specifically told us how easy we were to work with, but her attitude towards us conveyed a different message. In addition, I broke my ankle in their establishment 10 months prior to the wedding, so I really felt they should have bent over backwards to treat us nicely. The food was still amazing so it was worth it to treat our guests to a meal they are still talking about!
