We loved having our wedding at Stein-Boozier Barn! It was a gorgeous day and the barn’s rustic charm and beautiful lighting made any decorations we added seem like just the cherry on top. We also loved that it was so affordable as we planned our smaller wedding, which freed up the budget for food/drinks/flowers. There were so many compliments on the venue and we would have chosen it again and again given the choice. Definitely recommend!
Unfortunately, we had to cancel our wedding due to COVID concerns just before Gov. Brown *rightfully* banned gatherings. It broke me in a million ways but our loved ones health was more important than our one selfish day of celebration.
While I realize that I don't have any experience with this venue during or after an event, what I do have experience with is their kind, generous and human first approach to running the venue.
I naturally ask 8432678 questions and Ahsamon was always so extremely helpful, kind and informative. I never once felt like my questions were too much or unwelcomed. She was so nice and I really appreciated her during an extremely stressful time. She was amazing and I cannot express enough how much I appreciate her direct yet compassionate approach.
Director Mike was also extremely helpful in helping us in the venue process. So thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Overall, I highly recommend this place for a slew of reasons *when we are able to safely get back to doing so.*
Through COVID you truly see who cares about the people, about the humans and who cares more about profits and selfish gains.
This venue cares about the people.
Always choose people over profits. We are currently in a time where that is up for debate. Make your dollar count. Choose compassion.
Stein boozier barn was the perfect venue. It is a public park so setup was a little annoying with people peering in and trying to enter and see what was going on, but a few posted signs and keeping the door closed helped. Parking was a tad challenging for guests and finding the venue was challenging for some but other than that it was a huge hit and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue/ reception place. Being not tied to any caterers or alcohol vendors was nice. The barn was charming and got MANY compliments (despite the minor drawbacks) about how nice it was. On a hot summer day there was always a breeze which was nice. Parks and rec staff were wonderful and let us tour during weekday hours before the big day as often as we needed as long as we set up an appointment. This venue helped us throw the perfect wedding!
Incredible value and beautiful location. The photographs were gorgeous here and everyone loved the atmosphere! Kids enjoyed the park, adults enjoyed the scenery (and the beer from behind the bar!). We felt so lucky to find this gem. A great place if you are trying to save money.
This wedding venue was beautiful. We were married July 18th in the middle of a heat wave. We planned to have the ceremony outside in front of the barn doors, but it was too hot to be in the sun. We changed plants the day before while setting up and got married inside the barn in front of the large open doors on the other side. The only decorations needed were center pieces for the table, white fabric and flowers above the sliding doors and the cake table. We didn’t end up needing to hang any extra lighting or decorations. Very affordable and easy set up. The city of Wilsonville Parks dept. was very helpful and on top of everything. I recommend this site to anyone frustrated by venues requiring preferred caterers or OLCC licensed servers and cork fees. I had the wedding of my dreams at around $5,000.
My husband and I just got married here, and loved it! The staff were amazing and so helpful. And the venue itself was absolutely stunning once we decorated with all the lights. We used over 100 boxes of white Christmas lights, and in the barn it was amazing. We hosted about 40 guests, but could have done quite a bit more. The tables and chairs provided were perfect.
I will say if you want a more private wedding, this is probably not the place. While it was perfect for our home style wedding, and we would choose here again, we could see why others might not like it. We had strangers (visitors of the park) coming in while we were setting up the day before, pretty often. And during rehearsal we had a number of visitors. During the wedding was not bad for people poking around. But there were a lot (a lot!) of park visitors that could be heard at the wedding. Having a dj for during the ceremony and reception made a BIG difference. He played perfectly to help drown out all the outside park noise.
Like I said though, we would pick here again if we had to do it all over again. It's a remarkable barn, and the best wedding staff I had to work with!
