Stella Nova

I had 3 appts. at Stella Nova (King Street) prior to my wedding. A trial appt for hair and make-up in June, they did my hair and make-up for my bridal portrait session and on my wedding day. My hair was amazing and I am so glad I chose to have a professional do my make-up!

I wish I could give 10 stars! My wedding was a destination wedding so my wedding planner recommended Stella Nova for my hair and makeup. I wish I lived in Charleston just so I could get my hair done here every month! My stylist was patient, fun, and did my hair exactly as I imagined, she even helped me pick out a comb to wear since I hadn't found one I liked. My makeup lasted the whole evening and that is saying a lot since it felt like I poured sweat the whole time! My sisters and daughter went with me on the day of and we were all treated like princesses! We looked beautiful!

Madison LeCroy at Stella-Nova was the most incredible and hair and make-up stylist. She was attentive to my photos and examples, and created the most perfect, secure, and soft (yet secure) up-do for our wedding. My hair and make-up could not have been more perfect!

I took in a picture for my trial run--and my 2 different stylists (one for bridal portraits and one for wedding day due to scheduling issues) were able to take it, and make it work for my hair--which holds NOTHING. I couldn't have been happier with Mallory my day of make-up artist and hair stylist. She was the BEST to converse with and did a fantastic job.

Emily at Stella Nova in Mt P is fantastic! She didn't let me leave until I felt perfect and was great at picking up on my vision and creating the perfect look for me. Stella Nova was also a great place for my whole bridal party and were very flexible in letting us have lunch and mimosas set up in the lobby area!

I only had my hair done with Stella Nova, but they did a fantastic job! I had so many comments on how beautiful my hair looked for my wedding, I was so pleased. The best part about my experience with Stella Nova was that they had 4 stylists for myself and my bridesmaids! We were done and out of there in less than an hour. It allowed me to work some relaxation time into my day! Totally worth it!

Gwen did my hair for boht my bridal portraits and wedding. She added extension that made it look natural but I had more volume. She really took into consideration my face shape and hair type with my style! All in all, I would definitely reccomend her to all brides - I will be going to her for my hair after my wedding, too!!

I had originally booked my wedding hair appointment at Stuart Lawrence Salon, but the appointment desk man was so rude to me when he was confirming my appointment that when I asked if they wanted my business, he cancelled my appointment - ONE WEEK BEFORE MY WEDDING! (I had booked my appointment months in advance!) I called Stella Nova to see if they could get me in at the last minute, and they were great! My stylist came in early the morning before my wedding to do a trial run, and even ended up putting my hair up in a second style for my bridal luncheon that day. The next day, they made time for my appointment and appointments for my bridesmaids, and our hair looked amazing. The people at Stella Nova were so professional and nice, and they did such a wonderful job.

I had a destination wedding in Charleston and used this salon for my bridal party. I went to the location in West Ashley. Madison was superb! I brought in a bunch of pictures of things I wanted and she delivered. The salon staff was absolutely wonderful as well. They came in early to do my party of 12 the morning of the wedding as well as let us bring in a catered breakfast. We had the whole salon to ourselves. I can't say enough good things about them. They are pricey but worth every penny!!!

I used Madison LeCroy for my hair and makeup and she is awesome! I came in with an idea and a picture for my hair but could not verbalize exactly what I wanted. She played around with it and it ended up exactly how I'd hoped! She is young, cute, and spunky. I highly recommend!

I used the bridal suite at the spa location on Society St. and could not have been happier. My bridesmaids, flower girls, mother and I had plenty of room to get ready and socialize and we had everything catered (including mimosas). Everyone's hair and makeup looked great and the girls were very friendly and easy to work with. The highlight of the day was when the coordinator literally saved my wedding. We booked transportation, which was an absolute nightmare and never came to pick up my bridesmaids to take them to the church. The coordinator literally put them in her car and drove them to the church (in time!). She was amazing!

Worked with Jaime and she was excellent. We rented the Bridal Suite and had a blast. Made me shine on my day!

I used Stella Nova for my Hair & makeup for my February 2011 Wedding, Bridal Portraits and engagement photos. The team there is so quirky and fun. They are true stylists. If you're looking for something different than the ususal poodle curls or bun, this is the place to go! I had a basic idea of what I wanted and Patrick & Alexis really did a phenomenal job creating my wedding look! I wish I lived in Charleston so that I could use them more often!

If you can get an appointment, Patrick is the best wedding hair designer in town.

My bridal party and I had our hair and make up done at the Stella NOva in Mt PLeasant. I was very pleased with this salon. It was pretty easy to book us all over the internet and they sent me a complete agenda for the morning with all of our times as well as the stylists. I would recommend them. I was very happy with the results.

Stella Nova did my hair for the wedding. They were pretty pricey. I had them curl my hair and leave it down. They charged 150.00 plus tip. This was charged at both the trial run and the wedding day.

;The people were very very pushy. It was not a fun experience to purchase anything there. I found a dress that I loved for a really great price. But in retrospect I wish I had gone to a small local dress shop instead of the big chain.
