From the very beginning of wedding planning, we knew we wanted to avoid the big catering companies. Our wedding felt like such a personal event and we wanted to work with people who shared that same feeling.
From the very first email, there was just something different about Stella’s Pizza. They’re a small, family-owned business, and you can feel that in every interaction. Coming from a big Italian family myself, I immediately felt right at home. Everything they do has such a personal touch, and they truly treat you like family.
Our tasting was one of our favorite parts of wedding planning. They welcomed us into their home, introduced us to the whole “Stella’s” family, and served us so many incredible dishes that narrowing down the menu felt impossible. We even got to meet Stella herself, which made the experience even more special. You can tell these are recipes that have been perfected over generations, and every single thing we tried was absolutely delicious. We may or may not have regretted wearing tight pants to the tasting lol.
Amy was our main point of contact throughout the planning process, and she was incredible. She thought of everything and held our hand through every step. As with any wedding, we had last-minute guest count changes, dietary restrictions, and plenty of random questions along the way. Every single time, Amy and the team handled it with ease, you can tell they have seen it all.
On the wedding day, they somehow managed to serve high quality food to 135+ guests without missing a beat. They also made sure to take care of all the staff and vendors for the day as well. We had so many people tell us it was some of the best wedding food they’d ever had, and we’re still hearing about it weeks later.
Amazing food, amazing people, and a business that genuinely cares about the couples they work with. Stella’s Pizza was the perfect addition to our wedding day, and we truly can’t recommend them enough. If you’re looking for incredible food served by people who make you feel like family, this is it.

Stella’s founder Vito Romani grew up eating the greatest food on the planet. From a long line of Sicilians, whose life's purpose was to cook incredible Italian dishes for their loved ones, nothing but fresh and homemade would do. With Stella's, Vito combined his heritage with his culinary skills. His Italian roots run deep -- his family came from Italy to San Francisco's North Beach and settled in San Diego's Little Italy in 1936. Growing up in the restaurant business, Vito learned that pleasing customers is as important as serving great food.

The quality was just really, really good. Everything tasted fresh and you could tell it wasn’t just churned out — there was proper care behind it. We went back and forth a lot on the catering decision but Stella’s made us feel like we’d nailed it.
The team were also just lovely people. Friendly, relaxed, and they got on with it without us having to worry about a thing — which on your wedding day is exactly what you need.
If you’re thinking about booking them, do it. We’d choose Stella’s again in a heartbeat.

On the wedding day, they exceeded every hope I had. The food… absolutely incredible. The most delicious, heart-warming pizza that instantly brings people together. Our guests kept coming up to us all night saying it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Even our vegan and vegetarian guests felt so seen and included.
But what touched me the most was the team themselves. Their energy was so warm, so positive, so present. On the wedding day, everything was just as incredible. So many people told us it was the best wedding food they’d ever had, and we completely agree. The fig fantastico pizza was unforgettable, we still talk about it all the time.
Their team was also amazing. Kind, professional, and clearly passionate about what they do. They handled everything with ease and helped create such a great vibe for our reception.
If we have one regret, it’s that we didn’t get to eat more of it. Some of the cocktail hour apps were gone before we could grab them, and with all the adrenaline, we didn’t end up eating as much dinner as we would’ve liked. But what we did have was so good, and based on all the compliments from our guests, the rest was too.
We’re so grateful to Stella’s for being such a memorable part of our day. Truly couldn’t recommend them more.

From our initial conversations to our tasting to their service on our wedding day, we could not have asked for more. They were incredibly flexible with us when our guest count fluctuated. initial tasting to the day of our wedding, working with Amy and co. at Stella’s was a straightforward, exciting, stress-free (and ultimately delicious!) process. Stella’s Pizza Pie was one of our venue’s recommended vendors, and day-of operations were a breeze! We opted to have a couple of extra hands (hired as an option through Stella’s) and the entire service and clean-up was smoother than we could have dreamed. They even cut our assortment of pies for the dessert portion of the meal! We have had multiple of our attendees say to us that it was some of the best pizza (if not THE best pizza) they’ve ever had. And the tub — and I mean a tub! — of Caesar salad was a huge hit. If you want to offer your guests a meal that’s different than the standard chicken-and-fish wedding fare, and if you want to save yourself a number of headaches trying to find a great vendor partner, do yourself a favor and book Stella’s!

t super genuine and kind. The best part, all of their food is delicious! After we had our tasting, we had a very hard time deciding what we wanted on our menu for the wedding.
They were very on top of everything on the wedding day and made everything seamless! We also had a wedding of close to 140 guests, and they kept up the entire time.
When we wanted to book them, we weren't 100% certain if our venue could fit their pizza truck, so the Stella's team decided to drive out to our venue on their own time and meet with our venue coordinator just to make everything work! I thought that was super sweet of them! They did this before we even signed a contract with them!
On the wedding day, they made sure we ate. When me and my husband were taking our couple photos during cocktail hour (which was across the street from the venue) one of their staff members actually walked our appetizers over to us during our photos. They also provided table side service to our sweetheart table during dinner.
Overall, the food was amazing, the people running Stella's are amazing, and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to cater our big day!

We sat in their living room with other couples, and they served us like we were just guests that came to visit. The whole family helped with the tasting, and it was great to meet everyone on the team. Oh, and the food was DELICIOUS. We got to meet and talk to Vino, the chef, who was so friendly and truly just had a passion for making pizza and a passion for making weddings special. We were blown away and immediately knew we had found a gem of a vendor.
Up until the wedding day, Amy was our main contact, answering every email in a timely manner, and was always so friendly and professional at the same time. On the wedding day, it rained hard, and Stella's team didn't skip a beat. Everyone RAVED about the food, and kept asking who this vendor was. We also ordered a late night charcuterie board from them, and it was a hit!
I truly cannot say enough good things about Stella's and the family behind it, and truly cannot thank them enough! The only thing: I wish they had a restaurant because I have been craving that pizza since our wedding.

Add to that the delicious appetizers and a charcuterie table and it was a feast enjoyed by all. And the service was every bit as good as the food. Vito, Amy, Gina and the rest of their staff did an outstanding job. So professional and personable at the same time. Did I mentioned it was an outdoor venue and it rained? Never missed a beat. I encourage you to give them a try. Once you accept their invitation to a tasting and meet the family I'm convinced your experience will be every bit as good as ours.

We loved the tasting we attended months before our wedding to choose what we wanted on the menu... it was tough to choose because everything was SO good. Our guests really enjoyed the pizza and passed appetizers at our outdoor summer wedding, and Stella's made it look classy. We also loved the fruit infused water station they provided. Overall such a great experience with Stella's Pizza Pie, and we'd highly recommend them for any event!

hey provide service par excellence, from the moment you contact them to the last pizza they serve. In addition to the food being the best I've ever had at a wedding (if I may say so myself), they really are a joy to work with.
Some absolute must-haves:
* Mama Gigi’s Scampi (we had as an appetizer)
* Charcuterie board (such an amazing, sweeping presentation - just like you're in Tuscany!)
* The Fig Fantastico (pizza)
* Mimi’s Dolce Extravaganza
On a side note - I would also highly recommend doing a taste test -- so much fun, and we left so full. Thank you, Amy and Gina!

Guests loved it, and the food was something I was looking forward to most in our wedding day. Stella's did not disappoint, worked with us through TWO postponements and were kind the entire way through. Highly recommend - can't say enough positive things! (I low key already want another party they can cater!)

wedding, through Milagro Winery. This was the best decision we could have made. We wanted something different for our food and we wanted a memorable experience. We wanted to make sure that our guests left full and pleased with our food. All night we heard about how amazing the food was and saw line after line getting seconds and thirds. Not only did this entire family take care of us through planning a pandemic wedding, their food was the best food we have ever had. From the tasting that we did not want to leave, to a year later, stuffing our faces at our wedding, we were in amazement of Stella's.
Besides the insane amount of delicious choices you're given, to curate your perfect event, this family cares about you. Amy made time to check in on my family through a tough COVID situation with my brother, at the end of 2020. 24 hours before the wedding, Amy and Gina rallied together and saved our dessert bar that was provided by another company. They were ready to go purchase platters and stands, between their two weddings they had booked, so that we had the display of our dreams. And Vito, wow. This man and his team are some of the kindest and hardest working people we know. After putting out hot pizza after hot pizza, Vito stayed and helped clean up the venue with us. We talked, laughed, and discussed how we will be coming to more tastings as proof of all of the good that comes from Stella's...and for more yummy food of course. The entire Stella's team made us feel loved in so many ways. We chose a company to feed our wedding and gained friends, wedding planners, family, and a preffered caterer for life.
An infinite amount of thank you's just isn't enough to show our gratitude for Stella's Pizza Pie.

week after us who also had pizza and everyone said their pizza was "good" but just didn't compare to the amazing pizza Stella's served.
Communicating with Amy was so simple and easy. It was a relief to find a vendor we were excited about and have one less thing to stress about. They set up a tasting two months before the wedding at a beautiful home and let us bring 3 friends and two kids. The tasting was more elegant than we expected (not a bad thing!!) so we were worried the kids would be a bother, but the whole crowd was so family friendly and we couldn't have felt more comfortable... They even made extra cheese pizza for the kiddos.
We were so happy they also packed pizza to go for us at the wedding (they knew we'd be hungry later)! And accommodated the gluten free family and friends! We highly recommend them! Words don't do justice to how happy and thankful we are!

Amy was so understanding when my indecision got in the way and was compassionate when walking me through the logistics of their services and sharing her expertise and advice. The food tasting was at their home and they gave us a clear snapshot of appetizers, main courses, and dessert options of which we could choose from. There wasn't even a second choice for us. We knew we had to use Stella's.
At the wedding, guests absolutely raved about the charcuterie appetizer. Stella's went above and beyond and rolled out two tables worth of charcuterie for guests to enjoy! It was a bride's dream to have her guests so well fed in cocktail hour alone!! The main course of artisanal pizzas were perfect for dinner (a selection of 4 continuous pizzas) and we were able to satisfy everyone's dietary restrictions. It kept the dinner light but satisfying! For weeks after the wedding, guests were talking about how well organized the catering was, how kind the staff were, and how awesome it was to have pizza at a wedding. No rubbery chicken at this event!! Stella's was by far the easiest vendor to work with and the one that made the biggest impression. Book your catering with Stella's. You won't regret it!

to Amy Zinman who took such good care of us during all our planning phases! She was incredibly prompt with her communication, helpful, and so sweet. And the food is absolutely incredible! Out of this world, truly. Serving delicious food at our wedding was high on my husband's priority list, and the moment we had a sampling of their pizzas and appetizers, we knew they'd make the perfect fit. It was a fun experience for our guests too, to have so many choices at the buffet table and receive hot, fresh pizza! I can't recommend them enough. We were incredibly satisfied with our experience with them and would not hesitate to book with them again for any sort of future event!

From the start, we were blown away with such great service we had from Amy then being invited to their home for a tasting. We both came home with food comas and knew our guests would love their food. Add the candied bacon appetizer-your guests will thank you!
We had to postpone our wedding and they were so easy to work with and so understanding. We felt like part of their family from beginning to the end. Even Vito and his staff helped us pack up our rental van after and park it for us. And we went home with lots of personal pan pizzas which we ate once we got home and the next day.
All our guests raved about the food during our wedding and days after. If you’re looking for artisan pizza-fig on a pizza!- do not look any further, book them now-you will not be disappointed. Enjoy your food coma!

Stella's is the BEST in the food catering business. They catered our wedding and not only did we love the food, our guests absolutely loved the food and could not get enough of it....
All of the food is to die for, but I highly suggest the "Fig Fantastico" pizza! Stella's was very responsive and flexible throughout our entire wedding planning process. I HIGHLY recommend using Stella's pizza Pie for any of your events! You will not regret it!!!

st list, move the event to my parent's backyard, and have their food dropped off in single-serve containers, Stella's was with us every step of the way with a can-do attitude. Most importantly, the pizzas were excellent and so were the apps/salads. Everyone loved the food. They nailed it. I'd highly recommend them for their food, professionalism, attitude, flexibility, responsiveness, I could go on. You will want to have them cater your event.

ked them for our wedding in June, 2002 but due to the pandemic we moved it September 2020 and we still could not have the wedding we planned for so we decided to do a micro ceremony and a small dinner at our airbnb instead. Stella's was amazing to help us accommodate to our changes and delivered dinner to us at our airbnb. The sweetest people and You'll be so happy to have them apart of your event!! 1000% recommend booking them, everyone loved there food and we still think about there amazing food!!!
