Stems Florist was incredible. Meetings with Branea, the owner, were so easy and such a breeze. We’re not typically flower people and we just knew the color scheme we wanted (dusty ...
pink and light blue) and Branea was able to take it from there. She taught us so much about different kinds of flowers and made it a breeze to pick what we wanted. She even uses software to give you a cool packet that lets you visualize your floral arrangement before your big day. Our flowers came out looking like cotton candy in the most beautiful way and it really tied our event together and made it beautiful.
We had 18 tables at our wedding and Branea had a great idea of doing a mix of tall centerpieces, low centerpieces and triple cylinder vase centerpieces. If you are considering doing this, I highly recommend it. Our guests loved our flowers and the variety on the tables got a ton of attention. The triple cylinder vase centerpieces are so creative and they are basically three vases (each of varying heights) with an underwater rose and a floating candle on top. It’s as beautiful as it sounds and it really gives a Beauty and the Beast aesthetic to create a charming dinner.
A few days before the wedding, Branea sent an email stating that some of the flowers we wanted weren’t able to make it in, but instead she got us better flowers (which would have been more expensive but she didn’t up-charge us for them). It was so nice that when she told me there was an issue, she already had it resolved and there was nothing to worry about. It shows her character and the level of professionalism that she provides. When you’re planning your wedding, a vendor like Stems Florist with an owner who truly cares is the best bet. She did such a fantastic job that at the end of our wedding, all of our guests were asking to take flowers home with them. Do yourself a favor and book Stems Florist ASAP!

stress free. Stems made sure my day was stress free as well. We orginally met with the consultant, Kim. She walked through every single details. From the wedding flowers, which were repurposed at the reception, to the individual flower at each table, vases, candles etc. The flowers were great quality and looked amazing. The wedding coordinator at Bogey Hills Country Club stated the flowers were “spectacular.” The team was professional and very courteous. Stems made the special day, extra special. If you are looking for a best-in-class florist, I highly recommend you call STEMS.

MADE my wedding a dream come true. As a full service florist, the delivery took the worry out of everything. The Stems team was punctual, professional and they shared ALL the wedding secrets and do’s and dont’s. There is no reason to go anywhere else when Stems florist exists right in the heart of Florissant MO. My dreams were made real and the staff went above and beyond their scope of duties to provide the perfect day.

We used Stems for our wedding for rose petals to decorate the ceremony aisle, ceremony arbor floral piece, all centerpieces, cake flowers, boutonniere's, 9 bouquets, a lay flat box...
for our photographer and a toss bouquet I never saw. I will start by saying that the flowers were beautiful for the wedding. I love the arrangements and everything looked great. Great work on that part. However, the process to get there was horrible and picking stems was the most stressful part of wedding planning for me and I did everything myself without a wedding planner so that is saying something. The first appointment was great but after that Kim was very hard to work with. She told us she would reach out closer to the holidays to set up our second appointment when we would sign and pay the rest of our invoice. She never called and when I called in late December to check in she said that the rest of our invoice was still due in 2 days and we needed to sign even before our appointment when we would confirm everything. She then cancelled our second appointment and needed to reschedule which is understandable. However, she double booked herself for our rescheduled second appointment and then rushed us through it because of that and having another couple waiting. After our meeting, she sent me the updated proposal which had none of the changes we made. I had to go back and forth with her multiple times to get everything we talked about in the meeting added onto the proposal. It made me extremely nervous something was going to be forgotten or left out. She would sometimes take a week or two to respond to my email if at all. 4 months before our wedding, I asked her if we could move up the time of flower delivery on wedding day and never heard back ever on it, but I checked the proposal and the time was changed on there to what I asked so she received it. Right before 30 days, I noticed that she missed adding greenery around our centerpieces which she had even drawn for us to show what our centerpiece would look like during our first meeting. When I asked about it, we were told it was not included in the original price and would be additional. She told me to drop off the vases to her the Monday of wedding week and when I arrived during business hours, the shop was locked and closed. I had driven over 30 minutes and left work early to make it. I had to call her cell and she told me to leave my bud vases and my late moms headpiece which they were using parts of in my bouquet under an overhang in the rain in front of the shop. The day of, she was kind and kept showing me the work they were doing to make sure I was happy with it which I appreciate. They did forgot to put said greenery that we added and paid for around some of the centerpieces but she took care of it once I mentioned it. The work is beautiful but I was extremely stressed dealing with her and the awful communication. They did my sisters wedding and I was so disappointed we did not receive the same service they received after giving them both daughters in my family's business.

. The Stems' wedding design tea worked so hard to make sure the roses and blooms that you selected where perfect for your wedding day.
I must totally apologize that the communication oversights that you mentioned were not up to our professionalism. I wished you would have called me to discussed. We now have in place a communication program that keeps all timed communications on our calendar. All of our proposals are also in the cloud and linked directly to you for your review at all times and outline every single item for your wedding day and all the timing. This program has been in place for 5 years. The flat lay box for the photographers are always delivered directly to the photographers the day of the wedding and the toss bouquet was placed on the DJ's table as directed by the Old Hickory staff. Being a small business, sometimes we have to deliver last minute sympathy work at a moment's notice. We specifically have a place on our covered porch for deliveries and typically we are back in minutes which was the case with your drop off. There are so many changes on timing of weddings, we typically firm up all delivery times at 1 month out and then again the Monday of the wedding week. Again. I really genuinely apologize to you. Please give me a call if you would like to discuss further.

budget. She was flexible with meeting with us as many times as we needed and during off-hours since we were traveling from out of town. Every time we met she would happily re-explain things and make any changes we thought of (which ended up being a lot)! When we did not know how to make a decision, she walked us through all the options and laid/drew everything out for us. Her background as an architect helped us set up our reception ballroom symmetrically & beautifully with the layout of Four Seasons. She also helped us with things outside floral decor such as table settings, aisle runners, candles, and linens. Kim corresponded with other vendors and our wedding coordinator without our prompt as well. She truly knew every family member and corresponded with my parents as well as my husband and I. On the wedding day Kim made our vision come to life beautifully. The ceremony and reception looked better than we could have ever dreamed. She also found all members of the wedding party without any need of direction and gave them bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages. Kim went above and beyond in every way. We can not thank Stem Florist enough for everything they did to make our wedding vision come true!

a doubt that Kim and Joe would absolutely kill it for my wedding.
Before my first meeting with Kim, I had no idea what I wanted for my bouquet or any decor, and she was extremely helpful through the whole process. I told her my wedding colors and she pulled together flowers so that I could visualize it better, which I greatly appreciate! She had worked at our venue before and had so many suggestions, with still working in our budget.
On our wedding day, I was ecstatic to see everything come together! The bouquets and boutonnières were amazing, the arbor was beautiful, and the reception hall was absolutely breathtaking! It was incredible to say the least!
We received so many compliments on how beautiful everything was. I can't thank Stems enough for making my wedding so beautiful!

They created an installation for our arbor (including amazing hanging buds which I never would have thought to do!), my bridal bouquet, centerpieces, and table greens for the card and dessert table. While the supply chain was an absolute mess during COVID, Kim was able to set our expectations about what types of flowers would be available and what we might be able to substitute to keep our vision even within the availability constraints. They were also very accommodating when - 3 months out from our date - we had to relocate our wedding and completely revamped our floral vision to suit the new venue. They are certainly a busy team so I'm glad we booked early!

When Kim arrived at the church with the flowers, the groomsmen were getting dressed and had just discovered that their vests did not fit and could not button. The ceremony was in 2 hours, and we were missing a major piece of wedding party attire and had no idea what to do. We called a couple stores but weren't having any luck.
Kim could have easily said, "So sorry you all have a problem! Here's your boutonnieres for once you find some vests. Hope it works out!", and then left. She'd delivered the flowers and this wasn't her problem to fix. But that's not what she did. Kim knew the owner of a local formalwear store, so she immediately called him and asked if we could borrow 3 vests right away. The vests they had on hand had been reserved for another wedding the next weekend, so the shop was a bit hesitant to let them go with no formal rental agreement, but Kim talked them into letting us borrow the vests for the day.
Kim absolutely saved the wedding and all the wedding party photos, and this was way outside her job description. She fixed a major disaster before the bride and mother of the bride even knew it was happening. Truly amazing customer service!!

nitial meeting with Kim I had little more than pages and pages of Pinterest inspirations, but Kim listened and was some how able to understand exactly what I wanted. I was a bit nervous just letting them make the decision based off of what I said I wanted..... but I shouldn’t have worried, the Stems team went above and beyond what we could have expected! They were also very accommodating about some last minute changes we made to the timeline for the day of and some unforeseen complications with the isle decor that they handled super professionally, and we got so many compliments on everything from the bouquets to the centerpieces, to the cake which Kim was able to work her magic the day of and add some fresh blooms even though we hadn’t discussed it prior!
