My husband was concerned about how to make himself stand out more among his groomsmen, and she was able to change the boutonnieres to make sure he stood out! Our decor/flowers was the smallest part of our wedding budget (most of the budget went towards the venue/food) so we had to think of creative solutions to make it look terribly obvious that we had to scale back spending on flowers. Although we couldn't afford the fanciest kinds of flowers, Meryl found solutions for cost-effective options to create the ambiance and pops of colors i was looking for my wedding. I'd shared a collage of pictures of flowers in bud-vases combined with an unusual color-palette (a bit peacock-ish or 'summer' jewel tones) and I'll admit I wasn't certain how it'd come to life between my bridesmaids dresses and the decor of the reception tables. After working with me and my husband, we landed on bud-vases for half the tables (she provided the clear ones and her team was able to use the vases we bought of alternating colors) and centerpieces for the other half. Instead of flowers on the pergola/ceremony structure, we held centerpieces on the wooden barrels by the alter and draped white fabric over the alter. It was stunning. The bridal flowers went perfectly with my dress, my bridesmaids dresses and the decor of the table. The price still went a bit above our budget, but the final product was very worth it in the end. I was a very happy bride seeing my eclectic vision come to life! <3
