Stephanie Messick Photography

our vision for these photographs and made it happen! My husband and I are not ones that are very comfortable in front of the camera, but Stephanie made it feel easy and fun! Working with Stephanie to plan our wedding day was amazing. Stephanie answered our multitude of questions, was very familiar with our venue, and came with a plan! On the wedding day, Stephanie was absolutely amazing. She made us feel very comfortable, was very flexible, and ensured everything we wanted photographed was covered. Her style of photography is light and airy and is exactly how we wanted our photographs to look. Stephanie is personable, and incredibly sweet and absolutely made our wedding day easy, relaxing, and fun!

agement shoot in Shenandoah National Park and our wedding at Stone Tower Winery. She knew every little spot and pose possible to ensure we had THE BEST photos imaginable to remember our day. Additionally, she made us feel comfortable and did an excellent job suggesting photos we didn’t even know we wanted but also organizing all the photos our family wanted to take (it was a long list!). We are so excited to continue to remember our day through her work.

grapher - she shared inspiration looks for the engagement sessions, helped with location selection, shared tips for the wedding day, helped develop our timeline, and was the greatest cheerleader every step of the way. Your wedding photographer is going to be with you most of the day, so you want to find someone who is not only energetic and able to bring out your true smile, but someone who is empathetic and can read the room. Stephanie knew exactly how to bring out the best from our families, wedding party and friends. So many guests reached out to us after the wedding to share that our photographer was so amazing. Of course, our photos are incredible. We received the wedding album so quickly and we feel each image captured all the emotions of the special day. Do yourself a favor and book with Stephanie! You'll be set with an incredible photographer and new lifelong friend.

a joy all thanks to her visions. Where you may see a tree and a fence, she finds creative inspiration. We had a tight timeline on the wedding day, but she gracefully organized sunset photos around our requests. She captured every magical moment and more! Thank you for blessing us with your talents, Stephanie!

l yet perfect shots - which is how we choose her anyway but held true for our engagement photos and wedding itself! We wanted pictures at 4-5 differents spots in our venue during cocktail hour and she was so organized we got amazing shots at all and got back in perfect time to bustle my dress and walk into the reception. My husband was definitely very nervous about getting engagement photos done but afterwards he admitted Stephanie made everything so easy and he had a lot of fun! If you want amazing, natural photos and have taking them would DEFINITELY recommend Stephanie :)

so great to have her photograph our wedding! We could feel the emotions of the day through her pictures, they truly were a dream! I would definitely recommend her to everyone and anyone getting married!!

time deciding what I want to print because I'm obsessed with every picture! Stephanie is super friendly and easy to work with! Her photos make every one look so natural and it didn't feel like a "photoshoot" - it felt really comfortable! She coaches you through everything! I can't wait for our one year anniversary shoot! BOOK HER - you will NOT regret it!

with Stephanie! She not only captured our engagement session and wedding pictures perfectly, but she also added such a special and personal touch to everything she did. Trust me when I say you are in the best of hands with Stephanie! One thing I really appreciated during both of our session was how much FUN she made them. My husband even commented how much he enjoyed our photo shoots with Stephanie, which is really saying something because taking pictures is not his favorite thing to do. I highly recommend Stephanie!!

eft us with pictures that we are really happy with. She was also super attentive and responsive throughout the process, and very kind in sending little care packages along the way that really went above and beyond. We can’t recommend her enough!!

o talented and she is great to work with! She is so friendly and she made my hubby and I (2 total dorks who hate taking pictures) feel completely comfortable in front of the camera !!! She truly is amazing and she can make any couple look like models!!!

e made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and really got to know my husband and I. She made sure to include all the special moments and details and even caught sweet moments that my husband and I missed, such as his son tearing up as I waked down the aisle! Steph is one of a kind individual, and an amazing photographer. She makes you look and feel like a model. Would hands down recommend her to everyone!

in front of a camera for the first time, but in every detail she coordinates from the time you hire her till the time you get your photos back after the wedding. Her painstaking attention to detail is a testament to this passion and creativity. She is an absolute delight to work with and for us was the highlight of the wedding process- by far the best vendor we hired. The photos of our wedding day are amazing and thanks to Stephanie are photos we can cherish for the years to come.

d after checking out her photos, we knew she was extremely talented and would do a beautiful job capturing our wedding. What we didn’t know is that she’s also the SWEETEST person ever! She really took the time to get to know us during our initial phone meeting and then at our engagement session. By the time our wedding day arrived, we knew we were in great hands and that Stephanie would make sure everything was captured perfectly! My bridesmaids and family all commented on how wonderful she was to work with and how genuinely happy and excited she was to be part of our day. And it totally shows in the photos—only a person who loves love and truly cares about their clients could possibly produce such beautiful work! It was a HOT day and as sweat was dripping down my back during our portraits after the ceremony, I started to worry that every photo from that point on would be a hot mess, but they turned out to be some of my favorites—and you can’t tell at all that we were absolutely melting! We were already super impressed by Stephanie when she sent us our online gallery of photos (MUCH faster than we expected, by the way!), but then she sent us an incredible package with a thumb drive of all our pictures and a bunch of other adorable surprises! She sent several packages like this throughout our engagement, and each one was so appreciated. We are so happy we found Stephanie! We have the most beautiful photos of the best day of our lives and a lifetime of memories to share with our family as it grows <3.

anie on her poise and expertise. My husband and I highly recommend Stephanie! You won't be disappointed.

ld not have been happier that we chose Stephanie!

n to date are just beautiful. Highly recommend!!!!

so accommodating!!!) to shooting our wedding, she was a constant professional, and made us feel so special. Upon receiving our photos, it is evident she is really an amazing artist. Our wedding day was super hot, and I kept thinking "I hope some of these are okay..." because I was sweating, the groom was sweating and we were all pretty miserable in long dresses... but Stephanie completely blew me away... you would never ever know by looking at the photos. Her services are worth every penny, and we are still getting compliments on how beautiful our photos are. Thank you again so much Steph! I have definitely found my favorite photographer. We will see you for some Christmas photos! :)

graphs (both engagement and wedding) were absolutely stunning. She made us look and feel like models! She was so responsive and walked us through every step of the processes. To top it all off, she is so sweet! We feel like we not only found a wonderful family photographer, but a friend. We can't wait to schedule our next shoot with her!

ongtime friends. The best part though is that she is AMAZING at what she does (all her pictures are so perfect, I have had so many compliments!), and makes you feel so comfortable and has your back during the process! My husband and I were married in July and there was a HUGE storm and she still made sure to get so many amazing shots and grabbed us when the rain stopped to get more outside. She was such a pleasure to work with and made everything so easy. I would HIGHLY recommend her to anyone!

Stephanie's information from a friend when we were looking to do our engagement photos and were just blown away by her incredible work. She is so talented, friendly, and her attention to detail is impeccable. I cannot thank Stephanie enough for capturing our wedding day and for being a huge part of our wedding. THANK YOU!

hankful for the many beautiful moments she captured on my wedding day. She is so flexible and easy to work with. Stephanie’s brand is amazing, and each package of pictures was like opening a present. I would recommend her to everyone. She goes way above and beyond to make the experience something you will remember forever.

Not only is she the sweetest and most accommodating person, but her work is second to none and the most difficult part about working with Stephanie was choosing our favorite photos, I don't think she knows how to take a bad one! She shot our engagement photos as well as our wedding and both sessions were fun, professional and she made both me and husband feel so incredibly comfortable. Our entire wedding day she was nothing but smiles and was so flexible when schedules changed and remained clam during the normal chaos of a wedding! She got every single shot we had wanted and so many more we hadn't even thought of having taken. My husband and I still cannot get over how beautiful our photos look and what a delightful experience we had with Stephanie. Hiring Stephanie as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made!

th Stephanie’s work. From our e-mail conversations to meeting in person we knew Stephanie was the person we wanted working closely by our sides on our wedding day. Stephanie has an extensive blog that demonstrates her amazing photography skills. Our engagement and wedding pictures are more than we could have asked for. She has an eye for detail and lighting that just makes every picture perfect. Her turnaround time for pictures is like no other photographer. Others have waited months for their pictures, but not with Stephanie. Stephanie is energetic and just an overall fun and caring person to have by your side on our wedding day. We would recommend her over and over again to anyone needing a photographer.

e does. And I say this having worked with another photographer prior to her (who was less than stellar). She is very genuine, attentive to the smallest details, and truly wants to best for her clients. She goes above and beyond to understand the bride and groom's wants, makes you feel very comfortable in front of the camera, and is diligent about capturing every aspect of your big day. Not to mention the several sweet packages you get from her. Family and friends still haven't stopped raving about our pictures nearly a month later. Strongly reccomend!

ortable. In the end, she's your friend not just your photographer. She even helped me with the timeline for the day of the wedding.
