A friend recommended Stepping Out Studio to me so my fiancé and thought we would give it a shot. However, it was an awful experience. This place really doesn’t want to cater to wed...
ding dance lessons they are more interested in renting out their space to more “professional” dancers who need space.
We went for a trial lesson with Yulia and it was great so we said we would come back for another class, they kept trying to force their 5 pack of classes on us but I was insistent we would pay as we go. Thankfully we did because they mis-scheduled our first real lesson and the next time we came back we got kicked out of the studio half way though our lesson and the people at the front couldn’t care less. We ended up choreographing our dance from you tube and it came out amazing. Definitely do not waste your time here.
We bought a package of five private lessons, and decided to learn the hustle so we could dance to "The First, The Last, My Everything" by Barry White. Billy exceeded our expectatio...
ns! He choreographed a simple dance for us that went beautifully with the music. Then he coached us through until we had it down. It was a lot of fun for all three of us. Billy even invited us to perform that dance at the studio so in front of about 20 people so that we could get a feel for what it would be like to dance in front of a crowd. He really made sure we were ready and the dance turned out great.
We weren't able to take all of our lessons before our wedding, but Laura was extremely patient and great to work with. We were thrilled with our first dance!
