From the start, working with Sterling was a premium experience. I changed my vision a few times and their team was always extremely accommodating and helpful throughout the process...
. As a self-proclaimed foodie, the meal my guests would be having at my wedding felt like a personal reflection of me. When I tell you Sterling delivered the most memorable wedding food of all time, I seriously mean it. From passed canapes including surf n turf and philly cheesesteak waffles to a full sushi bar with bao buns and ramen stir fry, everything was impeccable. The beef filet and the seabass were huge hits during the dinner service and the passed desserts with a roaming beignet cart were was an absolute highlight. Multiple people said the wait staff was some of the best they've ever seen at a wedding and that accompanied with delicious food makes Sterling a no brainer for your wedding!

he waitstaff were attentive and professional, the food was out of this world, the drinks were top notch, and the execution of the whole day was more perfect than I could have imagined. Peter is phenomenal and Rachael went above and beyond to make sure the preparation, execution of the day, and break down were painless and fun. My guests could not stop raving about how amazing the food was. My fiancé is vegan and Sterling transformed numerous pieces on the cocktail and reception menu to be vegan, vegetarian, meat, etc. We had a “rolling cocktail” where the reception included numerous stations and the final products were a hit! Our guests loved the Korean, Mexican, and Spanish stations. The desserts were to die for- we had an ice cream sundae bar and several other desserts, all of which included dairy and nondairy items. Our wedding would not have been what it was if it wasn’t for Sterling Affair. I am so thankful for their help in making the day go so smoothly and for the level of professionalism and class that the company brought to every step in the planning process.

Museum, our venue (which chose Sterling as their exclusive caterer earlier this year). We went in for a tasting at their offices in North Jersey and were immediately impressed: the food they offered us to sample was a cut above the other caterers we'd tried.
In the run-up to our big day, we spoke to Sterling's staff extensively--sometimes as often as 2-3 times a day. Our principal contact was Maureen Pescatore, who is now Sterling's onsite coordinator at the Museum. Maureen was nothing short of incredible. She was extremely patient as we changed our minds over and over, while still making gentle suggestions about how to improve the flow of the evening.
On the day itself, we were simply blown away: Sterling served outstanding food--truly the best wedding food we'd ever had (many of our guests said the same). Their staff were friendly and attentive. They kept time for us, ensuring that we stuck to the schedule we'd laid out. And Maureen herself checked in with us every few minutes to make sure we had enough to eat and drink.
In sum, we are thrilled that we chose to work with Sterling. We'd make the same choice again in a heartbeat.

es in their basic package than other caterers/venues we looked into, they did offer many more creative and exciting options and we were very happy with the quality of the final product and all of our guests raved about the menu! We designed a relatively simple wedding cake, but their pastry chef really took the time to listen to what we wanted and discuss the flavors and design elements, which we really appreciated. Sterling also hosted a sit-down tasting for us and other couples who were getting married at our venue, which was a lot of fun and informative. Rachael, our event manager, was very attentive and communicative during the planning process. Overall, a great menu and a great experience!

yone asked me what my budget was up front and then it seemed like they were judgmental about my overall cost. Also I just hated that initial phone conversation with several companies. When I contacted Sterling and spoke with Rachael I immediately felt good. She was so professional, informative and non pushy. The tasting my husband and I had was great and gave us a sense of their food and presentation. The food on the day of the wedding actually EXCEEDED my expectations. I would say that Sterling met my budget restraints and were very flexible to help where I wanted to cut $ here and there. They are very reasonable, price-wise. You have to work with Rachael if you do go with Sterling. There was also an amazing woman on staff named Susie who was everywhere we needed her to be on the day of the wedding (making sure my husband and I were fed, our wine glasses filled, asking us if we needed anything, etc). She also cared for my mom who became unexpectedly sick and spent the entire reception in the bridal suite laying down. Susie made sure she had everything she needed - peppermint tea, water, etc. Sterling Affair is the only company I will go with for future events.
