Sterling and Strings

Rebecca Rothermel, Viola A longtime member of Sterling and Strings, Rebecca Rothermel is a tenured member of the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra, as well as the Harrisburg, West Virginia and Wheeling Symphonies. Her past positions include performing as a section violist in the Philharmonic Orchestra of Florida, Savannah Symphony, and as Assistant Principal Violist in the Honolulu Symphony. She earned her Bachelor’s in Music Performance at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Robert Vernon, and her Performance Diploma from Indiana University, where she worked with Alan de Vertich. Currently she is the Adjunct Professor of Viola at Washington and Jefferson College. Rebecca is the catalyst behind Sterling and Strings: Through The Ages Series.
