Sterling Strings was the perfect addition to our event. Our only regret is that the cocktail hour wasn’t longer so I could hear them perform more.

first discovered them 3-4 years ago when they were playing at the Bedford avenue train station and said to myself if I ever have a wedding I need to book them. They are incredibly talented and their catalogue is massive. Guests raved about them and I'm so mad I couldn't enjoy them myself during cocktail hour! They were punctual and weren't in anyones way at all. I highly recommend hiring them as they will put some serious classical swag into your wedding. If you want to set your wedding apart from everyone else's you need to hire Sterling Strings!

It was so special and unique that I had to book them for my own wedding. They were responsive throughout the whole wedding planning process and arrived early for my ceremony. edding card in Atlantic Terminal it was like a no-brainer to try to book them, and we are so fortunate they were available. We even got them to trek 2 hours upstate. I second all the other people who commented that Eric was super easy to work with, reliable and flexible and let us pick songs and mixed in his own great choices. My only regret was that I couldn't sit down and enjoy them more because I was too busy being a bride! Really glad we got some video.

We knew we wanted a DJ for our reception but I couldn't not add live music in elsewhere. Having this group play on our wedding day was so amazing. My husband actually found them on the subway one day in Manhattan. Since then I've seen then a few times also which made me even more excited to have them at our wedding. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for strings! They were reasonably priced and beyond incredible. They all are truly talented and we are so thankful to have had them at our wedding!

He understood the feel we were trying to create for our celebration, offered helpful, honest suggestions and was incredibly communicative. Sterling Strings' repertoire is extensive -- both classical and modern songs -- and they learned a new song that had special meaning to my family and I. Their arrangement of that song was stunning. Everyone was moved to tears. I cannot say enough about the Sterling Strings team. They exceeded our expectations in every possible way and we are so thankful to have found them.

ir list is very extensive and has everything you can imagine. I would highly recommend them. What we love the most is when we run into them in the subway playing. We love telling our guest we found them playing in the subway together :). If you want a great string quartet... hire sterling strings. Especially if you want a hip hop string quartet. We had them play all of the lights as our guest entered into the main ballroom which was entirely lit by candles. Our guests couldn't stop talking about how perfect that was.

s so dazzled that I hired not only a violinist for our Central Park ceremony but also the entire quartet to play for our reception. It was especially thrilling to dedicate a live performance of my mom's favorite movie theme to her. Sterling Strings are worth more than their fee. I give them my highest recommendation, without reservation.

w as I watch the videos people took at the ceremony from before I came out, I can hear the music they played during time before that and WOW! Guests raved about them and I see why! THANK YOU for adding so much to my wedding ceremony and making those moments ones filled with beauty I will never forget. Eric, who coordinated, was very easy to talk to and had a very relaxing vibe (which is necessary for us crazy brides). Our ceremony started late and ended later than planned (sorry!!!!) but they were there for us without a problem. If you are looking for quality musicianship during your ceremony or reception who offers a wide variety of song selection, look no further than Sterling Strings!

We have had people coming up to us during the wedding and after telling us how great the music was. People loved hearing pop songs and 80’s and 90’s music done on string instruments. Our guests actually applauded Sterling Strings as they were leaving the venue--after that we felt pretty confident we had made a good choice!

music for our first dance and that was so special. My family is from Argentina so we had learned a tango for our first dance. Sterling Strings played "Por Una Cabeza" by our request, perfectly, and were a part of this really unforgettable moment with us dancing together for the first time as a married couple. Their service was first class all around. Great communication as we planned. They arrived early on the day of, and even played outside until we figured out that we had to move everything inside because of unexpectedly windy, cold weather. Also, since my family loved their tango playing so much Eric suggested playing a few other tango songs that they had in their repertoire during our cocktail hour and my family was fascinated! I highly recommend working with them!

w clips on their Instagram page. One day I had the pleasure of bumping into them in the subway soon after I hired them. They are AMAZING! I get goosebumps just writing this review because I can remember hearing them play right before I walked down the aisle - all of those months envisioning me walking down the aisle with a string quartet playing came to life thanks to them. The communication was smooth with Eric, and he was very responsive. At the last minute (about 3 days prior I believe), we decided to hire them for our cocktail hour as well - we really wanted to impress our guests, and I felt like only having them during the ceremony just wasn't enough. They actually begin to play pre-ceremony, about 30 minutes before the ceremony as guests are filling into their seats, but that's still not enough. I wanted guests to hear how amazing they sounded! We gave them a few songs (pop, R&B, hip-hop) and told them to fill in the rest with whatever they wanted to. I couldn't hear them during the entire cocktail hour since my husband and I decided to use that time for us in the bridal suite, but we did sneak into the cocktail hour for 5 minutes and I managed to hear them playing "Flashing Lights" by Kanye West. WOW. I hope one of our guests caught that on video. I hope to have another event where I can hire them. If you want to have the best live musicians ever, PLEASE hire these guys! I would do it again without hesitation!!!

On top of that, we had a rain delay and they agreed to wait it out even though it meant they had to rush to another wedding right after (and get drenched in the rain while waiting for it to pass since there was no cover). They easily could have cancelled and gotten paid anyway because of inclement weather but they didn't!! Thank you so much to Eric and the other musicians for accommodating my last minute requests, sticking through the rain and playing beautiful music during our ceremony!!!

nd although they hadnt done something like that before their willingness to create our dream wedding was incredible. We had a vision for violin & cello to play unaccompanied during ceremony and for cocktail hour to be rap/R & B to be played with accompaniment. They had to create the sheet music for all 25-30 songs! I emailed them 8 million times & they were courteous, enthusiastic & responsive throughout the process. I am a little bit of a tyrant so I created a google drive & asked them to update with progress, and they willing obliged. I asked for videos so I could decide for the ceremony music & boom it was done! Wedding day they showed up on time and ready. My now-husband decided day of he wanted his own song to come out to during the ceremony (groomzilla!) & without hesitation they did it! And, it was stupendous, he cried himself down the aisle!! One of my most vivid memories was getting ready to start walking down they aisle & having their music take over the venue. It was everything I could have ever wanted. Everyone LOVED the cocktail hour. JayZ on violin/cello- dope!!! But, they played everything, from Ed Sheeran to Nas to Shaka Khan to Billy Joel to classical. It was incredible. I hope to catch one of their gigs because they are truly wonderful. Would recommend them time & time again.

But one of the clear memories I have is walking down to that song that sounded exactly like it did in my head when I pictured it. He also went above and beyond helping some our less tech savvy friends and family during the ceremony. That's just the kind of guy he is. You can't go wrong with Sterling Strings. - Rachael and Matt

r break a wedding ceremony and what they contributed to our wedding was better than anything I could have expected. Per my request, the played a mix of classical/traditional wedding music along with covers of contemporary covers. They do it all: Canon in D, Motown hits, Ellie Goulding, Adele, Beyonce, John Legend...amazing! They even learned a few new songs/pieces I wanted to incorporate and literally created an arrangement for a song that wasn't available in print. Guests are still talking about how awesome they were and I wish I could have hung out at my cocktail hour to hear them play even more but I had to cut out to take pictures. This group is A++ and I'm luck to have found them for our celebration.
