Steve Anthony & Persuasion is a live wedding band based in North Providence, RI. For over 27 years, this talented troupe of musicians has been entertaining crowds with their blend of classic hits and modern favorites. Add upbeat energy and professional sound to your special day for an entertainment experience to remember. Lead vocalist Steve Anthony began his vocal journey by singing and touring with the nationally known Cranston High School East Acapella Choir. Through the years, Steve performed in several musicals and sang on notable commercials for products like Trident Sugarless Mints, Chevrolet, and Ragu Spaghetti Sauce. He has shared the stage with figures such as Michael J. Foxs, Neil Sedaka, and many more. He has provided vocals for various bands, including the 18-piece Big Band. He has fronted Persuasion since 1992 and loves entertaining crowds of all ages with their stylish sounds. Steve Anthony & Persuasion comprises six dedicated musicians that combine to create a high-quality, fun-filled performance that is sure to keep your guests on the dance floor. The band can be made into a nine-piece to add even more volume and complexity to their performance for your pleasure. WOW! This band delivered amazing talent and energy at our wedding reception. Their playlist is filled with upbeat and familiar dancing favorites. Their professionalism and performance is on par with the best bands in and outside the area. They left our guests wanting more! If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. If you are looking for a band that will keep every guest at your wedding on the dance floor the entire night, then look no further than Steve Anthony & Persuasion. Steve is out of this world. Working with him is beyond professional. His attention to detail and genuine care for your wedding day is something you don't always see. The music is something that can make or break a wedding and he knows that and genuinely cares about that. He took the time to sit down with my husband and I and go over every song - from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. He wanted to know which songs we HAD to have. Which songs did he and the band need to practice and perfect? Which songs did we need to NOT hear? And he was a helpful confidant for us when we were struggling with entrance music for our wedding party. He knew what music would really hype up the crowd and helped with those final selections. On the day of the wedding, the band was on it. They set up and got everything ready effortlessly and they BROUGHT IT. They were like watching a concert take place. They interacted with our guests, they danced with our guests, and they played all the songs we wanted ... we could not have asked for a better band. If you are thinking of hiring Steve Anthony & Persuasion for your wedding, don't hesitate - they will make the party.

This band is fabulous! They kept the guests on the dance floor all night. The announcements were perfect and Steve was so accommodating with all my requests. So many of my guests complimented me on the band!! Highly recommended.

We got married this past Saturday, and we had the time of our lives, thanks in large part to Steve Anthony and his wonderful band. Steve took the time to learn the songs we wanted for our first dance, father/daughter dance, mother/son dance. he got everyone up on that dance floor, and I think the dance floor was full almost the entire time. His music appeals to everyone; old, young, male, female. He knew how much I love Whitney, Journey, the conga, and made sure all of that was played. If you are looking for a band that will get everyone moving, Steve Anthony is it! The day after my wedding I received so many texts saying how much they loved the band! They made my wedding day so memorable!

If you're looking for a fun wedding band that can rock the dance floor all night long, look no further. Steve Anthony & Persuasion played at a wedding reception I attended at Kirkbrae Country Club and they were AMAZING. They covered many musical genres, with Steve singing Frank Sinatra's "My Way" to Kenny Loggins' "Footloose" to Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk". And Gabrielle's "At Last" will knock you out! Steve doesn't just sing, he entertains, -- emceeing and interacting with the guests. Everyone at the wedding commented on how much fun they had on the dance floor, both young and old. They absolutely rock!

I will be honest, Steve is a pain in the ASS to get ahold of and that was very frustrating as a bride. However, he was there on the big day and absolutely KILLED IT! Ended up be worth the stress of getting in contact with him. If you're looking for a band, this is the best choice. I've been to other weddings with bands, not nearly as good as this one!

Sandra & I got married on 8/1/2015. Steve and his band played for us at the Providence Public Library. He and his band were TERRIFIC!! From the first meeting to the actual event everything went so very smoothly. We filled out a music request sheet with all the songs we wanted for each part of the wedding, introduction, first dance, cake cutting et.al.. We had some special requests for dance music during the night and he was able to give us everything we asked for. We had people up and dancing all night. All of our guests have told us either during the night or sometime after as we talked with them, how great the band was. We can't say enough good things about both Steve and his band. Professional, easy going, he related well with the crowd even while on his breaks, he was very approachable. Again, a 5 out of 5 stars for this group of musicians. Ray Craine racraine1@gmail.com

My close friends had Steve booked for their wedding and he did not show for the reciption. Apparently he had the wrong Sunday booked. I would NOT recommend this band there are many other bands that are much more talented than this crew, and will actually show up.

5 Stars doesn't even do these guys justice. My wife and I love them all! Steve met with us on 3 occasions to review what our expectations were and he helped us with a few questions that we had. On top of the meetings we also called Steve on probably 9 or 10 occasions. Steve and Gaby were one of the VERY FEW vendors who realized that we have a huge list of things to take care of and the pre planning makes all the difference. They made the process easy and stress free in reference to the music and flow of the night. Their experience came through in every conversation they had. We haven't been married before so we needed suggestions in many areas. The execution was perfect, he coordinated with the venue, people were dancing before the dinner even started. We had almost everyone we have spoken to tell us how awesome the band was. If you want a band for your wedding, it is well worth the value of going with Steve Anthony and Persuasion.

Last year when we were on the hunt for a band, we went to a bunch of bars/restaurants in the area and we are so glad we discovered Steve Anthony, Gabrielle Silva and the Persuasion. They are hands down the BEST. They bring so much energy every time they preform and really feed off the crowd. They had the dance floor rocking before salad was even put on the table. It was incredible. Steve was so great to deal with, the band is very reasonably priced, & they even learned few new songs that we requested. It was truly great having them part of our wedding. To this day, our guests are still praising how good they were. Highly recommend them if you plan on having a local bad at your wedding. You won't be disappointed.

Steve Anthony & the Persuasion is an amazing band! Great energy! All of our guests had a great time thanks to them! I'd give them 5 stars but Steve is a little tough to pin-down for meetings, etc. But the day of he was nothing but professional, on time and fun! Go and check them out, they play locally at venues around RI!

The title says it all - they were the absolute BEST money we spent on our wedding. They came all dressed in tuxes, were professional, had people up dancing DURING THE SALAD, the dance floor was PACKED all night, truly all night. They learned our first dance song and were able to download the song for my husband and his mother. They even ended up playing 2 more songs after the last dance song. They are just the most incredible band, they really made our night and I just do not have enough good things to say about them!!

WOW! This band is incredible. We had seen them a few times at the 1149 in Warwick before deciding to book them for our wedding. Steve is very courteous and easy to work with. He set up his speakers and ipod for our ceremony music. During the reception they had the crowd dancing on the dance floor before dinner even started! They did a great job of keeping the crowd movin' and groovin'. Everyone had a blast.
