The day goes by fast so you want your special day to stand out to family and friends with something they always remember about your day, Steve and The Classic Yellow Band delivered these great memories.

All our guests buzzed with how amazing they sounded and how awesome the music selection was. People stayed late to keep dancing and singing along. We'd pay the money and do it exactly the same way 100000 more times if given the choice. Hiring Classic Yellow was the best decision we made.

ers wedding reception 3 weeks ago was one of our best decisions! It was a blast! Steve and the band had the dance floor filled all night. He reads the crowd beautifully, fulfills all of the bride and groom's requests (and communicates really easily and professionally before the wedding), and makes everyone smile from beginning to end. They are a group of extremely talented musicians, and I am so, so glad we found them and hired them. Every, single, song was AMAZING. I can't wait until the next occasion we need a band. No research will be necessary - Steve Memmolo and the Classic Yellow can't be beat. Thank you so much!

Planning a wedding is stressful, you are spending a lot of money with the hopes that the product will impress. When I found Steve, (playing out in Boston years before) I knew he would be my wedding band. When the time came to hire a band, it was the easiest decision of the entire process. I asked for 8 piece, Steve said ok. I wanted horns, Steve said fine. We needed to incorporate traditional music, Steve and his band was accommodating. His archive of songs was phenomenal, especially with newer songs we wanted. We can’t thank Steve and the amazingly talented musicians enough for making our wedding an event people still are talking about.

We hired Steve about a year before our wedding and he kept in contact throughout the year, and let us know when it was time to take action in choosing a no play list, sending over the agenda, etc. At the last minute Steve was not able to attend our wedding, which at first was devastating for us. In the end, Steve hired two musicians to replace him, and the night was perfect. The band played together seemlessly, and the dance floor was packed the whole night. People came up to me and raved about how perfect the band was, and said how they made the night. The band learned two songs for us and killed both of them. At the last minute we requested the Congo line to be done at some point in the evening. Steve mentioned they didn’t really have a dedicated Congo line song, but would try his best to have the band pull something together. Not only did the band “pull it together,” they absolutely crushed it. They played ‘Call Me Al’ and since 136 out of 139 of our guests were in the Congo line, the band read the room beautifully and kept extending the song and even started a new song with the same beat so we could keep going. It was a highlight of the evening. 3 weeks later I am still getting snap chats from my friends listening to the song and doing the Congo line in their living rooms. Everyone at the wedding will forever associate that song with our epic Congo line. In a similar situation, we did the hora at the wedding and the band was able to read the room and extend it for as long as guests were into it! On a personal note, one of the band members (maybe the drummer?) came up during one of the breaks to congratulate us on our special day. I expect that from the MC and lead guy, but it was really nice to hear from one of the band members. He also seems really genuine, and it didn’t seem forced or like an obligation. I told Steve the week of the wedding that after Thursday he would not hear from me because once we started the weekend festivities all of my planning was going to be over. He respected that, and I didn’t hear from him either. Everything worked out really well, without me overseeing a single thing. As I walked down the aisles, I wasn’t even sure anyone had told the person running the music where to be or stand but honestly it was seemless without getting me or my husband involved. They worked with our wedding planner and took care of everything on their own without consulting my husband or I which was amazing because it allowed us to enjoy our day to the fullest. The band also traveled to Burlington, Vermont for the wedding. I would highly recommend this band for your special day!

then. When it came time to pick a band for our wedding, Steve was the first (and only!) person we contacted. He was incredibly accommodating and easy to work with throughout the planning process. He even learned a few of our favorite songs for us, which we really appreciated. At the wedding, Steve and the band were amazing. They played a mix of contemporary music and wedding classics -- there was truly something for everyone. It was clear that our guests had so much fun dancing and singing at the wedding! Steve was also a great emcee throughout the wedding reception. One of my biggest complaints about wedding entertainment is the cheesiness of it all, but Steve is the exact opposite of cheesy. He's classy, funny, and got the job done in the best possible way. I HIGHLY recommend Steve Memmolo and The Classic Yellow for wedding entertainment. I also highly recommend going to see the band at one of their local gigs -- once you see them live, you'll know how perfect they are for weddings!

The band has a great repertoire of classics and new songs that they mixed up well to keep all of our guests--young and old--on the dance floor all night. We could not have been happier with them! We also used Classic Yellow for music during our cocktail hour. It was a smaller subset of the band (Jazz Trio) and they were perfect for what we were looking for.

From slow and sultry to current and some older dance hits, they played it all! Not only are they talented but they were a pleasure to work with all the way through the process. Highly recommend them!!

Steve and the band are able to move seamlessly from one genre to another, adjusting based on our preferences and the crowd. They are so talented, so fun, and I am so, so glad we chose them to play at our wedding.

y tried to warn us, but it was really what I wanted. My husband’s only stipulation was that he wanted to be able to hear the band first. Luckily, at the time TCY was playing weekly at Lucky’s Lounge in Seaport. So we went. They opened up with their own rendition of Big Poppa and I looked at my husband and said, “Yup, that’s them. We’re booking this band”. Long story short—boy was I right. Two years later, people STILL ask us about the band at our wedding. Steve and the band are completely professional. They played a little bit of everything for every age. My ONLY regret is that we didn’t extend the night and book them for another hour. I HIGHLY recommend this band. And you can still go hear them play ahead of time at Capo. Go have a date night and get a preview of what your big day will be like!

It’s also incredible that you can catch them playing around at some great bars in Boston, they are just not your typical wedding band. Steve, along with Vincent and Lindsay, brought so much positive energy to our wedding and I'm still touched by the memories of all of the smiles and laughter. I've heard from so many wedding coordinators since, that the band is one of the most memorable parts of any wedding. We received SO many compliments about the band, even though we actually spent way more on the catering. Steve, first of all, is an INCREDIBLE vocalist, guitarist, and overall front man. He's hilarious, fun, and he's great and keeping the momentum moving throughout the evening. We were worried about a wedding band/singer looking like a wedding singer, especially for photos and for the guest's perception, but I can assure you that Steve and his band have so much class in their performance and presentation. Hiring Steve was the best decision we made for our wedding day -- hands down!

From classic rock, to Frank Sinatra, to R&B, their song list is extensive and they will even learn a song for your big day if you request it ahead of time (we had them play Pony by Ginuwine and everyone went crazy). All of our wedding guests couldn't believe how amazing they were, and we can't thank them enough for making our night so much fun. BOOK THEM!

y're not an ordinary band that plays the same old playlist. They'll play unique songs that you want to hear and they'll even learn a few for you. Steve also has a natural ability to feel out the crowd, knowing just the right stuff to play. Next big party I have, I'll be calling him. He was worth every penny.

After their set was done I went up and asked if they’d play at my wedding. A few years later it became a reality! Our guests loved them and Steve couldn’t have been easier to deal with. I’d recommend them a thousand times over.
