Steve is absolutely PHENOMENAL! We hired Steve to photograph our wedding in Vail, CO and engagement pictures in Boulder, CO and both events were INCREDIBLE. In both events we had our dog join for a few minutes of pictures and Steve was patient while our dog got adjusted and calmed down to ensure everything was very natural looking. Steve is so attentive and listens to your needs to ensure that all pictures that you want are taken and then he incorporates his own creativity to better the shot or to take additional shots. On our wedding day, he made everyone feel comfortable with being themselves and you can really see that in everyone's faces. Several of my bridesmaids, before we even got our pictures back said, "wow! Steve was so awesome! If I ever get married I might have to get his contact information". Now that we have received our pictures back, and my bridesmaids have seen the pictures, they have said "I am DEFINITELY going to have Steve photograph my wedding!" His work is incredible and his personality is infectious. 10/10 and beyond!

Steve worked on our wedding in Wyoming this past summer (June 2021). He was simply amazing and very outgoing! He captured three days worth of events and we didn't even notice him snapping away. We highly recommend his expertise :)

Steve Stanton is an incredibly talented photographer and is super personable in his craft. We hit it off with Steve right away for our engagement session. He picked a great local spot in Evergreen and made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera, as we have never had professional pictures done together as a couple and it can be a bit intimidating. Steve coaches you along the way and is your hype man! We worked around some crazy weather, but regardless he captured some beautiful shots. Steve brings a laid back, attentive, fun and creative energy to each session leaving you on the edge of your seat to see the end results. And they are absolutely unbelievable. His turnaround time is remarkable with how many photos he takes after editing and delivery. And he sends you a sneak peek the following day, which really builds the excitement! Leading up to the wedding we had a phone call before to go over moments we really wanted him to capture so he understood our vision; planning is key and Steve makes you feel like a priority while encouraging, support and cheering you on in your new marriage. On the wedding day Steve brought a fresh and chill vibe and provided a hands-on experience unlike any other. We are incredibly happy we found Steve and we couldn’t be happier with the end result and a new friend. Thank you again Steve!

Steve captured more than we ever thought an image could capture! Steve has a God-given talent when it comes to photography and he has a truly inspiring personality! Steve was kind, thoughtful, and knew how to make everyone laugh. There was never an uncomfortable moment. Every picture felt so natural and easy. His candid shots put me to tears. I wouldn't waste any time trying to find anyone else. I couldn't be more thankful for the work he has done for my family.

Steve was a phenomenal photographer. We are both not overly comfortable being photographed, but he made it feel natural and easy. He listened to our direction on what photos we wanted and what we wanted to skip. And he checked in several times throughout the day to make sure that we were getting the photos we wanted of ourselves and others. He did our engagement shoot as well and we loved the final shots. He was great and i would recommend him to anyone.

Steve Stanton is an incredible photographer. He was able to capture all aspects of love from little candid moments to the silly ones. We got our photos today and I got to relive the day from the tiny details of our friends and family arriving and hugging each other to actually hiking up a mountain to get amazing nature shots. Steve did the traditional posed family photos as requested by family members and we really wanted artsy/unique/nontraditional/nature photography and he did so amazing! Even when we were eating there was an amazing sunset and he got more of us outside. I am so incredibly happy with our photographs! You won't be disappointed.

We hired Steve for my daughter's winter wedding in Vail. The wedding was beautiful, his images couldn't have been more disappointing. I don't think he has any idea how to compose or focus. Many photos looked like snapshots at best. A lot of the action photos are out of focus. He pays no attention to what is in the foreground or background in many of his posed photos. We asked him to get 4-5 specific photos that meant a lot to us, and he did one of them and none of the others. He didn't do any of our family photos during the time we had to get photos done, and after the ceremony we had to rush to do them and he didn't get all of them. I don't think he understands depth of field, how to focus when it's not a posed shot, details of the composition, lighting, or how to get thru a basic photo list.

You want Steve at your wedding! It's so important to have a photographer you feel comfortable and relaxed around, and Steve is one of the kindest, most genuine forces you could ask for to follow you around on your wedding day. His work is artful and beautifully captures the emotion, details, and sweet little moments that make your wedding day so special. He has a true passion for what he does, and he's professional and easy to work with from start to finish. He's shot most of my friends' weddings as well, and we're collectively trying to recruit him into our group of friends... he's that awesome.

Steve was incredible! From our initial phone call with him all the way through our wedding, he was amazing to work with! We had an adventurous photo shoot for our engagement pictures up in the Colorado mountains and they were absolutely stunning. On our wedding day, he captured every single moment and it has been so amazing to relive our special day through his pictures! I would definitely recommend Steve to anyone - best photographer my wife and I could have asked for!

My husband and I wish that we could give Steve more than 5 stars! He was truly the absolute best photographer and we highly highly recommend him!!! We worked with Steve on both our engagement shoot and for our wedding and it was the best choice we made, hands down. As the bride I wanted to make sure that the photographer we chose wasn't someone who would be in my face and making me feel crowded. Steve was fantastic! He never made me or my friends feel crowded or uncomfortable. In fact, he added a very calming and fun vibe to every room he was in. Every single person in our wedding party and friends/ family outside of our wedding party complimented us on how great Steve was. Not only is Steve's personality great to work with, but his photos are incredible. He truly makes the bride and groom the center of his art. We recently received our photographs from our wedding and we cannot stop looking at them. We love them! Steve was very good to work with, he was always responsive, and followed up with us in a timely manner. He made sure that we were happy and was great to our parents as well. I could write all day about how awesome Steve is. If I were to give any brides/ grooms one piece of advice it is to hire Steve!

If I could give Steve 100 stars I would. Just look at his work!!! Beyond that though, Steve is the kind of person you want at your wedding. I never thought we'd become friends with our wedding photographer, but you can't not become buddies with someone who is so warm and makes you feel like a million bucks! All the laughs and smiles and tears that show up in his photos are 100% genuine. He has this ability to let you be yourself, which as you will learn when getting married, that is very hard to do in front of a camera! When he found out my (now) husband was into motorcycles, he offered to take a separate photoshoot with us on his very own vintage Ural sidecar moto! It was incredible. We even got to bring our dog and let him ride in the sidecar! Basically, I want Steve to follow us around for the rest of our lives because the moments he (and his amazing wife!) capture are magical. Steve is extremely professional but also extremely friendly, he was prompt and spent more time than we had paid for with us, and his costs are very reasonable (including travel costs!). When you hire him, tell him Mackenzie and Dalton say hi :) Love that guy.

We love Steve! We had Steve do our engagement and wedding photos last year (which means that prompt reviews are not my forte). He was great, especially guiding my wife with poses and looks that felt natural and captured our relationship. Plus he brought whiskey to our engagement shoot, so a huge bonus for that too. We love our album too - truly the product of a professional and an artist. Hire Steve! You won’t regret it.

Working with Steve was such a great piece of our engagement and wedding. Steve is amazing! We both really connected with him and felt like we made a good friend through the wedding process. What we liked most about Steve is he doesn’t force photos to happen, he works off your natural chemistry together as a couple. Steve was very accommodating for both our engagement session and wedding. We were from Califirnia so he worked hard to find the best photo spot that showed Colorado’s true beauty for our engagements. He even faced some rainy weather since we were unable to reschedule! Steve is also so personable. He makes it easy to be yourself and have a good time while taking pictures. We really enjoyed his calming and humorous company for the engagement shoot and the day of our wedding! Steve ensures all photos that are important to you are captured! I really appreciated this as I had several key photos I wanted the day of! Steve is also great at managing chaos with large wedding parties! We had 17 people total! We would give Steve 10 stars if we could! He’s the best at what he does!

Steve is an awesome photographer. He knows how to capture the moments that create the great memories. He takes pictures that I have never seen captured before. He uses his surrounding to make awesome pictures. He is great to work with. During the entire day I could say I saw Steve taking the pictures but never felt awkward or that he was invading our space. The memories that Steve captured from our engagement and wedding day are jaw dropping! We have had so many compliments on our photographs. Not only is he crazy talented but he is one of the kindest people I’ve met. He was able to calm my nerves during the engagement shoot and the wedding, and that’s a feat in itself! Even our wedding guests mentioned how kind Steve was. He loves his job and you can tell. He continued taking photographs beyond the 8 hours that we had paid for! We will definitely be driving to Colorado every couple of years for him to take our family photos. He was more than our photographer, he became our friend. Thank you Steve! Steve does an incredible job of making you feel so comfortable and relaxed on what could be an overwhelming day. My now husband and I, along with all of our wedding party/family couldn’t have had nicer things to say about him and his work! What can I say about Steve? We found Steve through our brother and sister -in law. He photographed their Colorado wedding and the photos were absolutely stunning. THEN, through a recommendation, he photographed another friend's wedding. When it came down to deciding who would photograph our Brooklyn wedding, we couldn't think of anyone else. He's probably the most positive, friendly guy you will ever meet. On a day that can be super stressful, Steve kept everything positive. The entire bridal party and our families were constantly commenting on how nice, friendly and positive Steve was - and that really really helped. He's a true artist. The photographs are unique and truly to our taste. Well edited and just absolutely beautiful. He has a real eye for great locations to take shots and just WOW. I can't recommend Steve enough times. Steve! Easily one of the best wedding decisions we made was hiring Steve. Not only is he wildly talented (we are so completely amazed by our photos!) but he also has great energy that allows the photography to feel very natural and fun, not forced or posed. He is constantly scanning the environment to find the best shots and his ability to capture beauty & emotion is like magic. We've received so many compliments from our friends and family (both on our photos and about Steve in general because he's that cool) - could not recommend him more!

Steve was fantastic to work with, top to bottom. Our engagement shoot was easy because Steve was genuinely fun to be around. The photos are beautiful. Steve created an atmosphere where we felt comfortable being ourselves, and that’s evident in the photos. The artistic element is not missing either – the photos have a great variety of framing and focus choices and his processing is clean without being heavy-handed. He also included some landscape touches, which give the album a sense of place. Booking was straightforward and helpful. He secured a permit for the Botanic Gardens and had fun thoughts on how to incorporate our stranger-shy dogs into our shoot. He was spot on in his week turnaround for the engagement shoot. I can’t recommend Steve highly enough.

Steve did such an amazing job. His personality helped to make our wedding day stress free and that much more enjoyable for my wife and I. We spoke with Steve via FaceTime and phone calls before our wedding and could tell from the beginning he would do and amazing job, and he did. His photojournalistic style mixed with classical photography was just the right mix for us. Our winter wedding was set in the snowy mountains of Colorado and we lucked out and got a beautiful sunny day. His use of light and contrast was just awesome and the photos speak for themselves. The moment we saw Steve’s work on his website and Instagram, we were blown away. It wasn’t just the stunning beauty of his photographs, but his unique yet-still-classic style – more photojournalism than conventional wedding photography – which was exactly what we had always wanted but assumed didn’t exist in today’s wedding industry. Until we discovered Steve. We couldn’t be happier with the photographs he produced for our wedding. It’s been about a month since he finished putting together our online albums, and like most newlyweds, we have looked through all the photos countless times. Yet every time we find something new to admire. If I could give Steve ten stars I would! He was a joy to work with! Believe it or not my husband was not at all excited about wedding pictures. He agreed to meet Steve, mostly to make me happy, and they hit it off great! They started talking about Moab and Jeeping and we ended up having our engagement pictures in Moab! And I must say that I have not seen any engagement pictures better than ours, but I may be biased. Steve did not disappoint on the actual wedding day either. My make up artist was an hour and half late and it was raining, but i had no fears about how our photos were going to turn out. I knew that Steve would love the lighting and the pictures turned out amazing! My husband and I are from Ohio so all the relatives that were not able to come still felt like they were there through Steve's pictures! We will be using him again for future photo needs and I recommend him to everyone. Seriously there is no one better.

If I could give Steve six stars I would. He is not only a wonderful person who made my wedding day so much easier, but he also took the most beautiful photos! He really captured the moments of the day, which was exactly what we wanted. He charged a bit more than the other photographers we interviewed, but you get what you pay for and he was worth it and more.

Steve is such a great photographer. He likes to capture the moment and character of people rather than quick traditional poses that anyone can capture. He explained to us that he likes to tell a story with his photography and captures the great love, happiness and excitement of the day. Just viewing his portfolio will wow you. The best part about Steve is that you are certain that you'll be treated with a great service that will reflect you and yours special day; just as you'd like it remembered. He is all about you! Also, Steve has begun working with his friend Tim Twinem who does amazing videography. You don't get the old-fashioned wedding video with this guy. Tim will make you a movie (not video) of your wedding day! I, my husband, and family could not have been happier working with these two fun, laid back, professionals.
