He is particularly proud to have been a pioneer in the fight for marriage equality. He captured some of the very first legal same-sex weddings in New York City, and since then, out of the 300 plus weddings he has photographed, he has worked with over 150 same-sex couples. He has won numerous awards, including first place in the Top Knots international wedding photography contest and The Faces international portrait photography contest. His work has also been included in print and digital media such as CNN.com, The New York Times, Shutterbug Magazine, Wedding Pride Magazine, Passport magazine, NYC Pride Guide, and The OffBeat Bride. Services Offered Steven Rosen offers a variety of packages for weddings and elopements and an “a la carte” option where couples can choose their services. Wedding packages start at $2200 for four hours. All packages include hi-resolution digital files, a print or album credit, an online gallery to share with friends and family, and a custom slideshow. For six hours and over, packages include an engagement session as well. Elopement packages for small weekday weddings at the Marriage Bureau or in the park start at $600 for two hours and include the digital files, and online gallery, and a print credit.

Steven is a hidden gem for sure. I was just browsing for wedding photographer in New York when i saw Steven. I sent him a message and within 10 minutes he replied and after 30 minutes we had a zoom meeting and booked him directly. We are a couple from Norway going to New York to get married and we wanted to take the photos in the city we both love so much. To have a photographer that know the secrets of the city aswell as the hidden gems around is truly amazing. From the first encounter to the final good bye there was true professionalism, passion and dedication to get the best photos. We would truly recommend Steven for all future events. This is not the last time we will use his services.

We had a great experience with Steven. He was not afraid to make decisions and he pushed us to think about exactly what shots we wanted leading up to the wedding. He was open to our ideas but also had great ideas of his own, including making some suggestions about the positioning of the ceremony that resulted in not only making the pictures better but made sure all our guests could see. He was punctual on the day of the wedding and took time to come out to our venue in advance of the wedding to see how we might optimize the photos. His assistant was also very helpful at our pre-ceremony Central Park shoot.

Where do we start. Firstly let us say that we would highly recommend Steven for your wedding photographer, the photographs he captured for us on our special day far exceeded what we expected. From our first Teams meeting with Steven to his replies to the numerous e-mails we sent, Steven was always a pleasure to work with and nothing was too much trouble for him. On the actual day, himself & Dan (his assistant) put our nerves at ease and being the perfectionist Steven is, he would always make sure he 'got the shot'. We provided Steven with a 'wish list' of places we would like photographs taken, on the day we managed to do them all. Besides being our photographer (and witness), Steven also recommended Brooklyn Promenade as the location for our wedding ceremony, having Manhattan skyline & Brooklyn Bridge as your back drop was stunning. All in all we couldn't have been happier so only have one more thing to say 'book Steven as your photographer' :-)

Steven shot our engagement photos as well as our wedding, which was in the back garden of a restaurant on a sweltering July evening. It was super easy to deal with him because he anticipated everything and adapted when unexpected things came up on the day. Instead of doing the traditional stuff during our reception, we had a big, long dinner in a low-lit space crowded with tables. There wasn't a lot to photograph during this time, but Steven took the initiative to grab guests one-by-one and take their portraits in the garden. These photos turned out beautifully and make for lovely mementoes. Steven also went well beyond his job duties to make sure we were set up for success. For example, right before I was meant to walk down the aisle, he noticed the venue staff had hung a few of our paper lanterns too low above the aisle. Had he not noticed, and roped our mercifully tall celebrant into raising them, I would have walked through an obstacle course instead of walking down an aisle! I totally recommend Steven. He is charming, prepared for anything, and a great guy to have in your corner on your wedding day.

Steven definitely has the eye of an artist and it shows in his work. For our wedding last October; we had Steven do our engagement photos and entire wedding. He is very professional and on time. Very open to collaboration and at the same time we felt very comfortable and confident in his vision and decided upon letting him do his own thing and try to capture the event without much direction from us. We were very happy with the results. He also did great portraits for our guests (instead of having a photo booth) and will be doing professional photos for us soon. So he's kind of become our go-to photographer of sorts. Will continue recommending him to friend and strangers for this work.

You can't go wrong with Steven as your event photographer. He is very experienced and knows how to get the perfect shots for your special day(s). He comes well-prepared with multiple cameras, lens, etc and is very prompt. He is easy to work with, flexible, and the quality of his photographs is top-notch. Steven is a friendly, professional photographer, who was able to get great photos in a dark setting on a compressed schedule. Highly recommended. Our wedding location was a lovely, but rather dark, nineteenth-century NYC church. Attendees who snapped shots of us with their phones during the ceremony and reception all failed to capture a clear image. However, on a compressed schedule, Steven's images were spectacularly lit in the dark church, and he was able capture all the moments--even redoing a few when attendees prevented certain shots. Steven came with an assistant and wore a bright jacket that proved decisive in being able to wrangle and pose the two diverse family groups (not all of whom spoke English or otherwise listened to instructions) into the desired . Weddings are stressful enough and I'm sure many feel that a professional photographer is not needed when guests will have good enough cameras on their phones. Having been so fortunate to have Steven at my wedding, however, I could not now imagine not having these great photos that captured moments and rare family groupings. I am very grateful to Steven and would highly recommend him.

Steven was so amazing for our engagement photo shoot in NYC! We are doing a Broadway themed wedding and wanted to get some photos at the Broadway theaters and time square. We hired Steven as our courthouse wedding photographer and he exceeded our expectations. We are incredibly happy to have chosen Steven as our wedding photographer! We booked Steven’s elopement package just a few weeks before our wedding, and he was very communicative and quick to reply, which was great because we did everything last minute. Steven’s prices are very reasonable for NYC, and his photographs are absolutely beautiful! We only had about an hour to take photos, and he did a great job getting all the family photos, couple portraits, and even some candids. He is particularly talented at portrait photography, and he really knows how to work with the space (we got married at the Merchant’s House, and he framed us superbly against the backdrop). He took his time setting us up in exactly the right position, and the photos are very artistic and well-composed. Steven Rosen Photography did a phenomenal job with our engagement photos! We were running late due to some unexpected circumstances and he still accommodated us and made sure we were happy with the shots and that we got exactly what we wanted. There was some inclement weather and he even had umbrellas ready for us. We had a zoom meeting to go over what we wanted for our shoot prior to signing the contract and he remembered everything we discussed even though it was months prior. We were coming from out of state and had discussed everything down to suggested outfits and colors so that we would be coordinated and perfect for the time of day and location of the shoot. Another thing I absolutely loved is that he is super easy to get in contact with and replies super fast to emails and messages. Steven and his assistant Allan were such a pleasure to work with. My fiancé and I are so pleased with the photographs, we're already talking about future photoshoots we could do with Steven! He made this entire process so much easier for us and would recommend him to anyone looking to capture their precious memories.

Steven is amazing! We hired him for our private elopement in Brooklyn, with very little in mind. All we knew we wanted was a couple of shoots at the Pebble Beach, where we would hold the ceremony (just us and the officiant). We were so lucky to have found Steven, who outperformed what we had in mind for the photos! He hired an assistant for the day, and took us to additional spots in the area, catching opportunities of great lighting, and guided us through poses. Steven is amazing! We had a small fall wedding ceremony in Central Park and chose to work with him based on his online reviews and his experiences with photography in the park and were not disappointed! He was proactive in reaching out to us to coordinate leading up to the event to make sure all the details were in order. During the ceremony he was kind, professional and flexible with requests for specific photos (we had traditional cultural elements with requests for specific types of pictures which he went above and beyond to make sure he got). The final pictures are absolutely stunning and we are so happy with them! Highly recommend Steven as a wedding photographer.

Working with Steven was great from the very beginning! He was available at all times for questions, recommendations and suggestions, and made our process really easy for us. During the ceremony and reception, his eagle eye caught everything and everyone, and the pictures... oh, the pictures! They turned out amazing!! Steven did a fantastic job of photographing our small elopement in Central Park. It was a slightly rainy and cloudy day, but this opened up a ton of photographic opportunities that Steven knew how to take full advantage of. He was able to get us photos alone in normally very-high-traffic areas with gorgeous diffuse lighting from the clouds. In particular, he set up some incredible shots under the arches at Bethesda Terrace with diffuse lighting from the clouds. We also got great solo shots on Bow Bridge, where I proposed. After the shots in Central Park we went down to Bryant Park via subway and got some fantastic shots there as well as all along the way. Steven utilized every minute together with us to get the best possible photos, taking into account our personal preferences as well as his extensive knowledge of photogenic features and landmarks in the city. I was impressed at his ability to suggest interesting and innovative photo ideas that we would have never thought of. Steven was also patient and helpful with our small preparations for the ceremony itself, and helped us with staging and decorations to maximize the photography. He and his assistant went above and beyond to make the day special for us. The photos came out beautifully, and his online album support let us share our day with friends and family. I could not be happier with Steven's services and highly recommend him to anyone that is looking for wedding photography.

Steven was a pleasure to work with. Very professional and talented. He made our wedding day so much more smoother and less stressful. Throughout the whole process, Steven was great with communication and planning. He scouted the location a month or so before the wedding, to get an idea on what type of shots he wanted to get. We received our photos a few weeks after the wedding. The photos look amazing and we are thrilled with the quality. We definitely recommend Steven!

Steven did a wonderful job with our Zoom wedding. We had to negotiate a small space with three livestream cameras distributed about, but he still managed to capture a wide range of shots from several locations that really enriched the photo memory of the event. We highly recommend him!

My wife and I are from out of town and got married in Central Park this summer. Being from out of town we didn't know any photographers in Manhattan and found Steven online. He was one of a few photographers we talked with before making our decision. We ended up choosing him because we could tell he had experience, knew the area extremely well, and was quite helpful in giving us ideas and suggestions on different locations to shoot. He even helped us find our Officiant. After working with him, we couldn't have been happier. He was a great guide, knew all the perfect locations to shoot and knew exactly how to set up each shot. His assistant Charles even helped keep our dog company (who was a part of the experience). The pictures turned out beautiful and the next time we are in NYC for a special event, we will certainly use him again. Highly recommended!

Steven, I cannot thank him enough. He is an exceptionally unique personality with such a great heart. Gem of a person. I cannot imagine how easygoing he is and to work with. Such professionalism he carries in his work, cant express. One thing I will specifically mention "the flexibility" he showed with us was commendable. Apart from photography - he suggests the best poses, bring out the best in you, and most importantly the REAL YOU. The cherry on the cake was -he constantly communicating while working so that we feel relaxed and focus on each other and remember beautiful memories to get the best pictures.
