Steven Ross Ceremonies

My husband and I initially hired Spike Gillespie to officiate our wedding; however, five days before our wedding she had an unforeseen emergency arise and had Steven Ross immediately lined up as her backup. After looking up Steven's five star reviews, we knew we were in good hands. He was extremely professional and helpful to us prior to the ceremony, and we greatly appreciate him stepping in last minute. We would highly recommend Steven.

We got SO many compliments on our ceremony! We originally really wanted to write our own ceremony but had no idea what we were doing, so I'm so glad we asked Steven to help. He provided the whole structure and some beautiful words and ideas and then my husband and I jumped in on a Google doc to make edits. He was very easy to work with, non-judgmental, and very friendly and supportive. I highly recommend Steven for a non-traditional ceremony.

There are no words to explain how pleased we are and how happy we were to have Steven officiate our marriage. He is SO kind and from the very first meeting, we could tell how warm he is. He made our ceremony so beautiful and helped us write our vows; I can't count how many friends/family members have commented since our wedding about how much they enjoyed him. Steven is one of the warmest people I've ever come across and puts a lot of time and effort into each couple. He seems to be genuinely interested in how you met/what you like about one another, etc. so he can create a very personalized ceremony for you. He's amazing, definitely recommend.

The best decision we made for our big day! I arranged for him to come up to NY from ATX since there was no one else I wanted to marry us. Steven was not just intuitive but also truly listened to our requests and modified the ceremony to fit those perfectly. I was nervous bringing all our friend and family members together since they all have different views/religious outlooks on life. Steven was the one who was able to unify everyone and create this beautiful foundation of love and support that held strong throughout the entire evening. Whenever anyone tells me about their favorite moments they all agree that the ceremony and Steven was one.

Many of our guests and our family acknowledged that this was the most beautiful, heartfelt wedding ceremony that they have witnessed. Steven provided a beautiful ceremony framework which supported our own vision, vows and intentions for our life together. We felt supported, nourished and at ease with the ceremony. We haven't had our wedding yet, but so far Steven has put in a lot of time and effort into getting to know us. We decided to write our own vows and Steven was helpful when we had questions and gave some great advice.He really was a lucky find! We would recommend him to any of our close friends.

Steven made the planning of our ceremony so easy. My husband and I planned our wedding from out of state and he was very accommodating. We met over Skype and he answered our very quickly. He had lots of helpful advice and allowed us to create a unique ceremony customized just for us. This was very important to us, as we didn't want a typical cookie cutter ceremony. We received lots of compliments on how beautiful our ceremony was. We couldn't have pulled it off, literally, without Steven's help.

We loved having Steven perform our wedding. We found him through Spike Gillipsie while looking for an officiant to give a non-religious wedding. Everything about the ceremony was perfect. He helped us find the exact words to describe how we feel about each other. The whole thing was very intimate. He also had great ideas for how to give those who were religious in the audience a way to express themselves without interfering with my strong desire to leave any of that out. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for any type of ceremony! He is very kind and helpful. We have a received a lot of compliments about the ceremony from those who attended!

We loved Steven. He was one of our most favorite vendors. He was professional, intuitive, kind, and very understanding. We are so happy he was our officiant. He custom curated our ceremony and it was by far the most unique, personal, and special moment of our wedding. It was everything we could have asked for and more.

Steven Ross came recommended by Spike Gillespie when we contacted her and she was already booked for our ceremony time. We were so glad to find him! Steven is a yoga studio owner/teacher who also does wedding ceremonies so his demeanor is very relaxed and calm. We wrote our ceremony with assistance from him and found his guidance in preparation very helpful. It was clear from our meetings with him that he is very flexible and willing to structure the content, language and tone of the ceremony to the couple's specific desires. By the day of the ceremony, we had Skyped with him a couple of times and had two in-person meetings when we were visiting Austin so he understood very well what we did and didn't want said and what tone we wanted the ceremony to have. Any ad-libbing that was required to respond to unexpected moments in the ceremony was just right for the mood and exactly the humor we were looking for. Plus, he's Scottish - and who doesn't love a great accent? ;) Many guests commented after the ceremony on what a wonderful officiant he is and asked how we knew Steven, assuming he was someone we had known for quite awhile because he gave the feeling of being a long-time friend. We couldn't have asked for a more fitting officiant for our ceremony!
