My wife and I were very pleased with the cupcakes and small cake we had for our wedding. The bride is vegetarian and doesn't eat eggs, so it was wonderful to find a bakery that co...
uld accommodate these requirements while making delicious desserts! We were able to have many different cupcake flavors (I think we had roughly 120 cupcakes) including classics like chocolate, vanilla, and red velvet plus lemon with some also being gluten-free, which was important for some guests. The cupcakes were delivered to the venue, which was a big help, and looked/tasted great. Overall, a great experience and good value compared to a traditional wedding cake!
Kamber Sherrod of the Sticky Fingers Bakery in Washington DC (http://stickyfingersbakery.com/) baked our wedding cake. We were very pleased. I wanted the cake to be, above all, del...
icious, but I also wanted to accommodate the gluten-free diet of close family and friends. We also had a very specific idea of what we wanted the cake to look like (we wanted it to fit with the flower theme--black-eyed Susans, our favorite flower). Kamber and the Sticky Fingers Bakery met and exceeded our expectations on all of these wishes. As part of the deal, we had a tasting--and the gluten-free options were absolutely delicious! We also were able to have different fillings for different tiers of the cake--very helpful, because it was VERY hard to choose just one! Kamber was wonderful to work with, very responsive and accommodating. The cake was perfect--delicious, beautiful, and ALL of our family and friends could eat and enjoy it. We are still receiving compliments on the cake. In retrospect, I would perhaps add an extra tier--not a bite was left at the end of the night (and we over-ordered for the number of guests).
Sticky Fingers made my wedding cake. I was having a destination wedding in FL but live in D.C. I am also vegan. This meant I was was going to have a super hard time finding a cake ...
that I could eat at my own wedding. Most of my guests where not vegan so I also needed the cake to be amazing to please my guests. Kamber made me an amazing cake that everyone loved. She was also amazing to work with. Even though I was having a small wedding and this wasn't a big cake for her. I had a big special need. My cake was flying on a plane the morning of my wedding with one of my friends. Kamber was very careful to pack it knowing that was first going through TSA and then in an overhead bin. Well the cake arrived with my dear friend in perfect condition thanks to Kamber. And it tasted so great on top of looking beautiful and elegant for my beach wedding.
We used Sticky Fingers for their diet sensitive product due to some of our guests allergies, and I was skeptical at first...BUT IT WAS DELICIOUS! I wish I had an entire cake made ...
instead of just a small one...I would definitely go back!
Sticky Fingers is such a great bakery. We were so excited to be able to get a vegan cake for our wedding. Kamber Sherrod was so nice and easy to work with and did a beautiful job w...
ith our cake. She was even up for a challenge! We decided on the white cake with raspberry frosting (made with fresh raspberry puree). Kamber said that they normally use the raspberry frosting between the layers and use a vanilla frosting on the outside because the seeds in the puree make it hard to get a smooth look. We told her we did not care about that; we wanted a pink cake anyway and loved the idea of fresh raspberry puree in the frosting. We thought the mottled look would be cool, anyway. Kamber got excited at the challenge and did a superb job! It was beautiful and oh so yummy. Our guests practically licked their plates clean!
My husband and I aren't even vegans and we were thrilled with Sticky Fingers. We were going for a green, eco-friendly wedding, and Sticky Fingers helped us accomplish that. We did ...
wedding cupcakes, instead of a traditional cake. Kamber was extremely awesome in the pre-wedding planning phases and even helped build a custom cupcake stand for us. Her cupcake designs were just gorgeous and totally fit in with the whimsy we were trying to create. And they tasted great! No one in our families is vegan, but EVERYONE raved about the cupcakes. We enjoyed surprising them with the fact that they were egg-free and dairy-free (after they raved about them, of course). Definitely a great vendor to work with.
My husband and I are vegan and Sticky Fingers is an all-vegan bakery. They were very friendly and let us taste many different types of cakes. They were also great about listening...
to what I wanted with the design of the cake.;The only bad thing was that they can only deliver within 30 miles of D.C.
