of expectations and specifications of how we wanted the wedding to look, flow, be set up, and much more. They met every expectation and request. We did our cocktail hour in the Kiel Club and reception in the Grand Hall/Lobby. You were able to have as many signatures as we wanted. The food portions were massive and flavorful. They worked with our third-party dessert vendor to distribute the dessert to the guest as they were seated. Our guests were amazed by how beautiful the spaces were and how good the food was. We also requested for additional bartenders so guest did not have to wait a second for a drink. Team again was amazing and so helpful.

sional, prompt in communication, and flexible as we worked together to design the ideal experience for us that had a lot of moving parts. The theatre is also a very unique and historic place (we used the lobby space) with a few extras that added to the experience (a balcony we used for our grand entrance, a message on the outdoor marquee, and the ability to show a digital welcome message in the lobby come to mind). We were also offered a wide menu of excellent dinner meals to choose from.

We had both parents and coordinators attend our tasting and we were blown away by the food and overall experience. There was a show booked day of our rehearsal, and we were still able to use the ticket lobby space for an hour, with an aisle set up and all. They were able to answer every question we had, were willing to meet with us in person many times and acquiesce to every preference (their flexibility was astounding!)! The beauty of the location goes without saying- all we had to do decor wise we’re candles and flowers at the head table and the reception was stunning. We also had a family member tragically pass a week before the wedding due to a robbery/gun violence and the Stifel team went above and beyond to provide extra security for us outside the venue - it was so kind and made us feel comfortable in that area of downtown when we let them know of our concerns. n the grand lobby - the venue was absolutely perfect for our 250ish person wedding. The art deco style was so beautiful, it didn't require much on our end as far as decor goes. This allowed us put our budget towards other things that would have been "splurge" items somewhere else.
In addition to the building itself being stunning, the entire staff was so incredibly helpful - they took so much of the stress out of wedding planning. Since my husband and I live out of state, Amber Daniels was a HUGE help in the process. She made sure everything - big, small, and in between - was covered. Her energy was cool and collected while also confident, making us feel comfortable that she had everything taken care of at all times. We talk abut how wonderful she was each time we look back on the day.
George was also so kind and helpful each time we were there to review/take care of something. Wedding planning can naturally steer towards stressful and having someone so positive and helpful involved in the process makes all the difference.

much decorating) and the staff were INCREDIBLE! Amber Daniels was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She was quick to respond to emails in the months leading up to the wedding, helped make sure the ceremony ran smoothly (at the rehearsal and on our wedding day), helped set up our centerpieces/other decor, coordinated with all of our vendors to set up deliveries (one less thing for a busy bride to do), and so much more. We also had access to the theater, which made for some really cool pictures. The Levy restaurants staff were equally awesome. Our food was delicious and we got so many compliments on the meal. They were open to suggestions from the tasting and we were impressed not only with the taste, but the presentation of the food as well. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Peabody Opera House (now Stifel Theatre) for a wedding/event.

e...it certainly was for us! There was nothing too small or big that they couldn't handle. They made sure everything matched the vision we had. Our guests told us that our wedding was the best wedding they had EVER been to, and I think the venue and our decor had much to do with it. We hosted our 200 person party in the Grand Lobby. Imagine a blend between being on the Titanic and in the Great Hall in Hogwarts...we had a very specific vision and Amber ensured it went exactly as we dreamed. In coordinating everything, she was very responsive, she knew the space like the back of her hand, and she had great recommendations for vendors as well as our layout. We felt like we were in extremely great hands as everything came together and on the big day, Amber and her team were very attentive to all of our requests. We also worked with Courtney in catering the food and the food was absolutely delicious. The service for our wedding reception was top notch all night.. none of our guests had to wait at the bar and our signature drink (Moscow Mule) was a hit among all guests. The chef did a great job on both dinner and appetizers.. our toughest food critics loved their meals. Our guests were stunned at how nice the venue was and said between the venue, setup, food and service it was the nicest wedding they had ever been to. care of for me throughout the entire evening. I had a personal "butler", that took care of me from the moment we walked in. He pulled my chair out, made sure my glass of wine was never half empty, put a cover over my dish when I took my daughter to the bathroom so that my food wouldn't get cold, even danced with me at the end of the night! I had to worry about nothing, it was a dream come true! The level of service that the staff provided to myself and my guests was unmatched. There was no request that we made that they couldn't fulfill. We had hired a wedding coordinator, that did not do her job whatsoever. The beginning of my day was rather stressed. But the moment I showed up to the Peabody, Stephanie and her team put my mind at ease and I didn't have another care in the world the rest of the evening.
The food was terrific; we've had countless guests tell us (that night and since... almost a year later!) that our wedding food was the best they've ever had. They offered special options for different diets (gluten-free, vegetarian), and the guests who had these options RAVED about how great the food was, even though it was different than the other guests. Every single person on the staff was helpful, kind, fun, energetic, and made sure we were well taken care of. Every detail was thought out, the entire evening ran smoothly, and they went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. Looking back on the day, almost a year later, I truly couldn't have been happier with how our reception went, and we owe that all to the Peabody!!

The venue itself is gorgeous and stunning, but it is the warmth and kindness of staff and attention to detail that makes this standout as a wedding venue. From our initial meeting with Amber, she made us feel as if we were her only clients and was so responsive that she made wedding planning from out of state a breeze. Indian weddings come with their own requirements (e.g. a processional with a horse, a small fire for the ceremony) but none of these things phased Amber or the Peabody. What an extraordinary venue! I could not recommend the Peabody more highly.

email correspondence with our event coordinator Amber) was phenomenal. Amber and the entire Levy Restaurants team made the whole process easier than we could have imagined. From the seamless and flexible planning process to helping us execute a beautiful reception with day-of coordination, Amber was wonderful. The staff members were constantly professional and attentive, and we received many compliments about the food and drink. We had a plated meal for 215 people with a large dance floor and a band on the stage. There was plenty of the room but the space felt appropriately full as well. One of the amazing benefits of having your wedding reception at the Peabody Opera House is having access to the facilities for engagement and wedding photos. We wouldn't change a thing about our decision to have our reception there. Highly recommended. The only negative we have come across was the switch to plastic cups once the dance floor opened. It was a safety precaution, which is understandable, but we do not remember being informed of this in our planning discussions.

always available and professional, no question was "too dumb", and she practically served as a day-of coordinator for us. She directly managed all of our vendors the day of (handled working with them to figure out load in times, load out times, etc, handed out gratuities to our vendors that we had provided, etc), made sure we were "in place" when it was time, and made sure everything went smoothly. We also found out (after the fact) that a guest had had too much to drink, and she and the staff handled it both quietly and with a high degree of professionalism.
The food, alcohol, our signature drink, etc were wonderful. We are still receiving compliments from guests concerning both the food and the service. The Peabody also accommodated many special requests we had. (Champagne before the ceremony, and wanting to come in and play with our tablescaping to get everything just right, for example.) Don't be scared to ask- if they can price it, they will do it!
Lastly, the venue is just beautiful. I would highly recommend the Peabody if you want a stress-free wedding. I feel like the hard work they put in made it so that we could simply show up and enjoy our wedding!

August 2015. First, the building is simply gorgeous and our guests could not stop commenting on the architecture (especially the Peabody Lounge where we had cocktail hour). It looks fantastic in pictures - sophisticated and classic. But the best part is the employees. Amber and her team were a dream to work with from beginning to end!! They went above and beyond every step of the way. They coordinated so much for us and made the planning process a dream. The food was fantastic - my husband and his family have strong opinions about their steak and they all commented (and continue to comment) on how good the steak was. Overall, the Peabody greatly exceeded my expectations. I am so, so happy we chose this as our venue.

we knew we wanted a place that was already beautiful. The Grand Hall was stunning and our guests were thrilled to be able to go upstairs and look over the balcony. The event coordinator, Angie Carr, was a lifesaver and the best person I could ever have hoped to work with during our year of planning. The food was out of this world and our 275 guests raved, particularly when the late-night snacks were brought out! The service was impeccable and at the end of the evening, all of our belongings were packaged up and taken to our car by the staff. It snowed that night, which made for a beautiful evening for everyone. The people at the Peabody were responsible for this evening of magic and we will never, ever forget it. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with equally outstanding customer service, this is he place for you. Best choice ever!

renovation. We were thrilled with the value that this venue offered such an amazing value for the price -- everything was included in the price we were quoted (ceremony, happy hour, reception, food/drinks, parking, etc.) -- There were no sneaky add-ons or a la carte items like many other venues.
We utilized the first level lobby (for the ceremony), the Kiel Club (for cocktails), and the second level Grand Foyer (for dinner/drinks/reception) -- which was a phenomenally beautiful room -- I would highly recommend this space! The facility was in great condition, the historic architecture was amazing, and the level of service that we received was top-notch.
The Peabody's event planner, Angela Carr, and her team were truly experienced professionals -- they handled everything that we needed from the initial walk-through to the tasting to making sure that everything went flawlessly on the big day. And, we were so happy to have their help, as my husband and I planned out wedding from out-of-state -- so it was fantastic to be able to trust that everything would come together.
I really can't say enough good things about the Peabody. If I could do it all over, I would absolutely choose the Peabody again. They understood my vision, worked with me to execute to perfection, and made me feel like the most important client in the world even though they are an operating opera house. I wish I could get married there (or host any event there) every year to have the experience over and over again. The wedding coordinators know what they are doing and along with the staff execute a flawless evening for all in attendance. Plus, since it is such a beautiful venue, I did no decorating, except for simple centerpieces and candles. As an out of town bride, this was extremely important to me. Additionally, since most of the guests were coming from out of town, the fact that it is so close to hotels was a great plus.
