When it came to video, it was important to us to have just the highlights of the ceremony and the speeches. Stills & Cinema had flexible offerings, which appealed to us and why we booked. During the planning process, Dan was extremely professional and communicative throughout the planning process, and we met Dylan, our videographer, on the wedding day. Dylan did a great job at being inconspicuous, to the point we forgot we were even being filmed, which helped to capture our authentic/candid moments amid the wedding day stress. You won't regret booking with Stills & Cinema!

With Daniel as the Creative Director, Stills + Cinema is a small knit team of photographers and filmmakers who have been hand-picked to work alongside him and have mastered the art of capturing wedding day stories. We bring infectious creative energy that will make everyone comfortable around us and in front of your camera.
The approach is simple. Capture the essence of these events and what they mean to our couples, their families and friends using a blend of candid and creative techniques. He also edits all the photos, no matter who shot them, so you know the editing will be consistent with the online portfolio you see. They had a planning portal which was honestly so helpful that it helped us in other aspects like little details we had forgotten about. Corrina & Lauren (photo) and Dylan (video) were phenomenal. As two people who aren’t especially comfortable with cameras/posing, we felt so insanely comfortable shooting with them. We wanted a candid style to our photos and they gave us just enough direction so that the moments they captured were authentic but still beautifully created. Our sneak peek literally took our breath away, they delivered in everything we hoped for and would 1000% recommend them to anyone!

They all felt like guests to our wedding for how fun they made the day. We had a schedule that was followed but it felt super organic. We got all the photos we wanted without it feeling like a photoshoot. It rained on our wedding day, which ended up being a DREAM for the photos and videos. We were able to get our photos outside in-between the pockets of rain that was tracked by our lovely lead photographer. Receiving the photos and videos was also super seamless. aniel, we set up a Zoom meeting. Leading up to the wedding, Daniel was attentive, patient, and organized. We spoke with Daniel a handful of times via Zoom or phone call as we finalized all of the details. Daniel sent us a timeline for our wedding day, breaking down what pictures we were taking when and who was needed for the pictures. On our wedding day, a tropical storm was passing through Cape May and our timeline/plan was interrupted. However, Daniel was organized and efficient. We found new places around the venue for our first look and couples portraits. Thankfully, we were able to get pictures on the beach! We got our sneak peek a week after the wedding and are very happy with the pictures!

Additionally, Stills + Cinema is the only videographer we found that includes "guests dancing" in their video edits. We knew watching our friends and family get down on the dance floor would be a highlight we'd want to relive later. From the very first email, Daniel was incredibly helpful and professional in answering all of our many questions, and he was just as great throughout the wedding day. I was so nervous the day of and hate being in the same place for a long periods of time and Daniel was kind a patient the entire experience and interacted well with guests. We just got our pictures back and the guests are Raving with how stunning they are. The website is easy to navigate and so is the gallery . . . We were able to download all our pictures super easily and you can buy prints right off the sight which range from 1-2 dollars which isn’t bad but we are also able to print off Shutterfly which is a little cheaper. Daniel is just the best and made our wedding day that much more special.

We felt comfortable in front of their cameras the entire day, and we didn't feel like we were part of an endless photoshoot (we've been involved in other weddings and had that experience). In our full gallery, we can see different photographs each telling a different part of a story of a particular moment, which I think illustrates the cohesiveness Daniel has with his assistant. We have so many photographs capturing "ad-hoc" moments going on around us which lets us know how our guests experienced the wedding day with us. Dan captured one of the most important days of our lives in a way that was unique to us. The drone shots of Willow Creek Winery and Cape May were just incredible! l and his assistant were in wrangling this crew for our formal portraits, so that we could enjoy the wedding day and live in the moment. Daniel has a way of fitting right in with different groups of people, and I was able to notice how he can go from a fly-on-the-wall to the director and person-in-charge in a moments notice depending on what is required. (We certainly needed a director at times!). I talk about these things first, instead of Daniels artistic talent which you can easily see by glancing at his portfolio, because it is clear to us that his experience and ability to relate with bridesmaids, groomsmen or our elders so easily are traits that give him the room to capture these amazing photographs. We are thrilled with our decision to bring Stills + Cinema on board to capture our wedding... our only regret is that we didn't think we wanted video too (we were wrong).

We decided to go with just photo in the beginning, but had a late change of heart and added video only a few weeks out before our wedding... so lucky he was able to accommodate last minute! Both our photographs, our album, and our short highlight video came out absolutely stunning, and they were so easy to work with during the wedding day. Daniel really knows how to prepare and communicate, and this really helps get things in order so things run smoothly on the wedding day. readily apparent that Daniel has developed a cohesion with his assistants so that things just seemed to flow naturally. Daniel has a great eye and that should be obvious when viewing his work. Considering that he was capturing photographs and not the video (to the best of my knowledge), one can draw the same conclusion for his assistants, because our video came out just a beautiful. Still, Daniel is the one we interacted with from the initial consult and after the wedding, and I believe he does all of the post-production (both photo and video?!?!), and this truly shows how much creative talent he possesses. I hope that this review convinces many to hire Stills + Cinema, the praise is well-deserved!
