I worked a wedding at Stone Chapel this weekend, and overall I have mixed feelings about the experience. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, and that is definitely one of its...
strongest qualities.
When we first arrived that morning, Susanna was working and was extremely helpful. She showed us where to unload, where everything went, and answered any questions we had throughout the morning. Even when she was taking a break outside on the patio with other employees, she was easy to find and always willing to help. She made the beginning of the day run much smoother.
A couple of weeks before the wedding, vendors were asked to select a cake stand from a Google document, and the bride had already chosen one ahead of time as requested. However, when we arrived the day of the wedding, we were told to come pick out a cake stand ourselves from the storage area. The bride was busy and we did not want to interrupt her over something that should have already been handled, so we just selected one ourselves. It was frustrating because this information had already been submitted weeks in advance and should have been prepared before vendors arrived.
Later in the day, Alexa arrived and was training another employee. Unfortunately, most of their time seemed to be spent sitting at our decorated guest tables in an area we were actively trying to work in. Their personal items were spread across the tables, which came across as unprofessional during an active wedding setup. While sitting there, she was also gossiping about other employees and previous weddings, which felt inappropriate in a professional wedding environment. While she would answer questions when needed, she often seemed irritated when we asked for assistance, including when we needed a table moved to make room for the DJ setup.
I also interacted briefly with who I believe was the owner. I let her know we were missing a chair at one of the tables, and the interaction felt as though my request was an inconvenience, which was disappointing.
Security was okay overall. The female security guard was kind and helpful whenever we needed assistance. The male security guard, however, often seemed annoyed anytime we asked questions.
One frustrating moment later in the evening involved the large “I Do” sign. After sunset, we asked security if it could be turned on because it was something the bride and groom were especially excited about. At that point, we were informed the sign was not working properly and could not be turned on. It would have been helpful for vendors and the couple to be informed of that issue much earlier in the day rather than finding out in the moment.
There was also some confusion involving the bartender. I’m not entirely sure whether that responsibility falls on the bartender or Stone Chapel management, and while we eventually found a solution, it was frustrating to have to sort through those issues during the wedding itself.
One thing that stood out to me was the number of employees present throughout the day. We encountered around 10 different staff members, yet very few were actively assisting vendors or helping the event run smoothly.
Again, the venue itself is stunning, and some staff members were genuinely helpful, but overall there seemed to be a lack of professionalism, communication, and organization that made the day more stressful than it needed to be
Super disappointing experience!! There was a large storm that blew in and knocked the power out, which I understand is out of the control of the venue staff. However, what was in c...
ontrol was making the venue safe and managing the night moving forward. The staff and owner made my family mop up water with bath towels, made them walk past a downed transformer in wet grass, refused to allow us to grab our generator and bring to the venue until we downright begged (also got into a verbal altercation with my aunt when she asked nicely for this), only supplied us with 25 candles to light the entire venue (my bridesmaids had to go out and buy $800 worth of candles and batteries (we returned the generator) from walmart out of their own pocket), etc. The floor was wet THE ENTIRE NIGHT and two people slipped and fell. The worst part was the owner gaslighting us and telling us that this had never happened before and that we should be happy our wedding even went on. I fully understand that the weather is completely out of control of the venue but then I read from prior reviews that this had happened before and that they had done the same thing to that family as they had to us. I’m so thankful for my family and friends for truly making the best out of a bad situation but I can’t help feeling disappointed when we brought this up to the owner in a letter and the only response we got after calling him (as him or his daughter never replied back to us) was pretty much sucks to suck. Please book at your own risk.
The venue where dreams come through. My husband and I could not have asked for a more beautiful venue. The comfort of having everything in one location but not with the same view o...
r background for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception was more than we could have hoped for.
Donna was awesome and was very accommodating to our needs and requests. I would book this venue again and again and again.
The Stone Chapel at Matt Lane Farm is and was as dreamy and fairytale-like as I ever could have imagined. My husband and I are not from the area, making this a destination wedding!...
Our guest knew instantly upon arrival why I chose this venue. It is beyond romantic from the driveway to the perfectly designed stoned steps up the alter.
The owner Donna, is wonderful and so kind. She was incredibly pleasant and timely with emails, then she was working hard the morning of my wedding! I was shocked to see her! It was amazing to know she wanted my day to go as smooth as possible and greeted my bridal party. The grounds are exceptional and well taken care of. I would pick this location over and over again. This venue offers indoor and outdoor ceremony set up. I can not say enough about how amazing The Stone Chapel at Matt Lane Farm truly is.
I captured a wedding at Stone Chapel in January 2023 and it was amazing! Arguably the best bridal suite in Arkansas and the chapel and the property are perfect for pictures. I reco...
mmend adding a little time in your wedding timeline for more wedding portraits because of that. I took my couple around the property and still felt like we could have gotten more locations in. Highly recommended!
This venue was the venue of my dreams . From the magical drive up to the venue to the very comfortable Bridal/ Groom suites. Donna the owner was lovely and made sure the night was ...
absolutely perfect . We received so many
Compliments from our guests and I would recommend this beautiful venue to any Bride .
Stone Chapel is a beautiful venue! My husband and I loved it from our first visit. We loved the convenience of having our ceremony and reception in the same place. The bridal suite...
is so big and perfect for getting ready with makeup and hair artists. The grooms suite was a tad small but my husband was happy because he had a TV to watch the Razorback game. The owners are very true to their contract. They are also very hard working. There was ice accumulation the week of my wedding. Donna, her husband, and their staff were all outside chipping away the ice on my wedding day to make sure our guests had a safe place to walk. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend to NWA brides.
The moment we walked onto the property to check it out, we were hooked. Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm is like walking into a fairytale. The venue is absolutely stunning from the ch...
apel, to the reception, to the outdoor ceremony. The bridal suite is gorgeous with tons of room and they even have a helicopter pad, which we took full advantage of. Donna is easy to work with and quick to respond to emails. Our special day was perfect at the perfect venue.
This venue is beautiful and was absolutely perfect for us. It has indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony, with an indoor reception hall and a large outdoor patio and bar. Our ...
wedding was in March, when it started warming up, so our guests liked being able to mingle outdoors during the cocktail hour. The reception hall also includes all the tables, chairs, tablecloths, and lighting, which made our reception a lot more affordable and easier to coordinate. Donna, the owner, is amazing. She made sure everything was perfect and was very easy to get in touch with. She let us visit the venue multiple times during the planning process.
The venue is beautiful and has everything you could need.
The entire venue is yours for the time booked, no other brides or parties are allowed. The Outdoor ceremony site & the C...
hapel for the ceremony are both beautiful. It was great to have an indoor backup if needed, but the weather was beautiful the day of our wedding.
The dressing areas for both the bride & groom have everything you need and are nicely decorated.
The reception hall can hold a large group, but it can be adjusted for smaller. We only had 30 guests, but with draperies and decor the room was inviting & beautiful.
Working with Donna was fabulous. She took care of everything needed and had excellent suggestions for floral, catering, and bartending services. Her daughter handled our rehearsal and wedding event. The day was perfect !!!.
Thanks so much Donna & Ali for the best wedding ever.
The venue is absolutely beautiful! We used the outdoor venue for our ceremony and couldn't be happier. Donna the owner was so great and a joy to work with.
Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm was an incredible venue for our wedding and here's why:
1. Having the reception hall and chapel right next to each other makes everything so easy and ...
you don't have to deal with driving to separate venues.
2. The grounds are beautiful and picturesque! There is so much greenery, the chapel is perfect, and the reception hall looked fantastic.
3. Donna, the owner, was an incredible help to us as we planned out our day. She was able to recommend vendors, layouts, decorations, and more. She is very experienced and knowledgeable in the wedding industry and she keeps her property running very smoothly. She did everything she could to accommodate our vision, and she was so fun to work with.
We definitely recommend Stone Chapel for your special day! We got married at the end of June so we had pretty warm weather, but as long as we were indoors, we were able to stay cool. Everything was so green at that time of year which made pictures turn out really well. We had around 135 people total and felt that we had plenty of space for everyone in the chapel and in the reception hall, without it feeling empty.
Stone Chapel is absolutely beautiful. However, I do not recommend choosing this venue for your wedding day. My fiancé and I booked Stone Chapel for our wedding ceremony and recepti...
on 7 months prior to our scheduled wedding date. Within 1 week of signing the contact and paying the $2,900 deposit, plus an additional $1,100, we found out that I would have to travel for work more than expected this year and that either my maid of honor or I could be asked to travel out of the country on our scheduled wedding day. I notified Donna at Stone Chapel (venue owner) of our unavoidable need to cancel. She stated that we would not receive any of our $2,900 back if we cancelled. I asked her to reconsider for ethical reasons as no time or resources could have been invested in our wedding during the short amount of time we were within contract. She refused. Within 2 weeks of signing the contract, we officially cancelled and only received $1,100 of the $4,000 that we paid for absolutely nothing. As one of the most sought after venues in Northwest Arkansas, they certainly will have no trouble finding another couple to book our day for their wedding and sadly that couple will also be required to pay another $2,900 deposit. As painful as it was for my fiancé and I to lose such a large amount of money, we felt that it would have been an even bigger mistake to entrust our special day to people of such low morals and character.
We loved having our wedding at stone chapel. Donna was so helpful and sweet, and really made sure that we were taken care of. So many things are included in the cost of the rental...
space, and that is one of the reasons why my husband and I fell in love with the venue. We also chose to get our engagement pictures done there as well, and it was a beautiful backdrop for these.
This venue was amazing! Donna did a great job to accommodate everything we needed! It was beautiful and we were very pleased!
Stone Chapel at MattLane Farm is such a beautiful venue. The space exudes fairytale. However, in my experience the owners were rude and difficult to work with. Other local vendors ...
warned me about this, but I still unpleasantly surprised.
Donna & Allison were awesome to work with. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and offers so much visibly that it doesn't take much to decorate!
This is the most beautiful wedding venue! The owners are wonderful and so helpful every step of the way. We could not have chosen a more perfect venue. Our guests were blown away.
