• The Great Hall — seats up to 100 for dinner (150 for cocktails) amid stone walls and timber beams.
• The Showroom — up to 300 for cocktails and dancing, or 50 for a stage-side dinner, with full production sound and lighting.
• The Parlour — up to 100 for cocktails (200 combined with the Showroom), with a full bar.
• The Lounge — up to 50 seated (150 combined with the Great Hall).
• The Cavern — an intimate, candlelit former brewery for up to 30.
• The Suite — a three-bedroom penthouse bridal suite for getting ready and overnight stays.

I'm a local DJ here in Grass Valley and I wanted to write up a review of the Stone House. I'd have the chance to DJ a bunch of weddings here. I really dig the place. The ceremony s...
ite outside on the back patio area is pretty amazing. Wedding parties can enter from a staircase or consider making their entrance from a cave. This area is also pretty awesome to set up a satellite bar or a spot to grab some unique photos. There are a few locations for a cocktail hour too. The downstairs bar, upstairs bar, maybe the outdoor patio. Lots of options depending on your style. I've DJ'd events where dinner has been outside, downstairs, and upstairs. All areas have their own uniqueness. The dance party could be either again outside, or on the first level where there's a stage and plenty of room for all your guests to party and have fun. Overall, The Stone House is a great venue to host your wedding or party. Check out the cave when you visit. I also want to shout out the event manager Dallas for always coming through and helping to create some beautiful weddings. She's on point, a pleasure to work with, and understands what a client needs for a great day.
We went back and forth with Dallas for nearly two months about guest count, menu items, and even received two quotes for our desired date and wedding. It was after two months that...
she finally informed us that they require a $20,000 minimum for a Saturday wedding. It would’ve been nice to know that from the get-go but they failed to mention it until we mentioned we wanted a small wedding of 50 (quoted at $11,000). That was apparently too cheap for them! (Were modest people who wanted a small intimidate ceremony and reception). On top of the very unprofessional lack of information (two months to tell us about a so called minimum for Saturday weddings when this is never stated anywhere on their website) she would take weeks to respond to our questions. In the two months we spent considering StoneHouse we really wish we would’ve just consulted another venue and not wasted our time.
The Stone House was the PERFECT place for my wedding of 88 in September. The staff was extremely helpful and it was so much more beautiful on the day than I expected. You won't re...
gret working with them!
We had our wedding rehearsal party at Stone House last Friday and Jacob and their team there went above and beyond with the set up for the event! They ended up being closed to the ...
public so they gave us the whole space including outside and the cave, which was great because we had more guests than expected. The lighting was thoughtful, the stage was perfect for the musicians we hired, and the staff was very accommodating of some decorations we brought, all of which made for a beautiful atmosphere!
Because it was hard for us to estimate the size of our event, they had a little trouble keeping up with all the orders, but we can't fault them for that. The food is also a bit more expensive than would be expected in Nevada City, but this is one of the nicer places in town. Overall, our guests all said they had an amazing time at the event.
We had our wedding at the Stonehouse in October 2017 and absolutely loved it. We had 150 people for an outdoor ceremony on the patio and a seated buffet dinner upstairs. The venue...
is unique and has a classic, alpine feel but is incredibly modern as well. The food was excellent - every guest commented how it was some of the best wedding food they have ever had. The planning process was a little relaxed, as in sometimes it took awhile for the venue to get back to us, but overall they were very accommodating and unlike some places did not put a limit on how often you could check in with them on details. Great location, great venue - we loved it so much we went back the next night to have drinks!
