Stoney Ridge Villa is a unique Mediterranean-Hacienda-Spanish-Italian wedding venue located just 25 minutes west of Fort Worth in the beautiful hill country of Azle, TX. Some call us the "castle on the hill" , "Italian Villa" "hacienda mansion" or the "hidden gem". Others say our venue looks like you are in another country; "a destination wedding venue". Ideal for indoor/outdoor wedding ceremonies and wedding receptions, the Villa features several locations for you to choose from. Our indoor reception hall can be used as a chapel for your ceremony or for your wedding reception. It has beautiful European artwork painted on the ceiling, giving it uniqueness like no other. Another great addition is our bell tower that houses a 1800's bronze church bell for our couples to ring upon saying their "I do's". If you are a photographer and videographer your photos will come out amazing. If you are a DJ the load in is very easy and they have power for available for both ceremony and reception locations. The tables and chairs are high quality and the kitchen is VERY CLEAN all the TIME! I have not had a bad experience with this venue. The best people to ask about layout and time frames during the day and time of year is the venue. They know all the perfect times to do dinner and ceremony, TRUST ME when as I tell you this, BOOK STONEY RIDGE! you won't regret it! The negative reviews are just a bunch of jealous haters. More about the venue below, but a major highlight (and benefit) of the venue is getting to work with Missy. There’s nothing more apparent than how much she truly loves what she does, and that love and passion is shown throughout the entire planning process and the actual wedding day. She really goes above and beyond with everything she does and we couldn’t have imagined our wedding without her. After meeting her once, you’ll quickly realize that she wants nothing more than for you to have the most perfect wedding day. We booked our wedding here immediately after touring as the beauty of the venue and Missy’s passion could simply not be matched by anyone else.
A common theme of our wedding day was our guests telling us how beautiful the venue was, which was very important to us as we wanted to provide a unique experience. Everything you’ll need is there - bridal and groom suites, locations for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, ample parking for any wedding size, an exceptional staff, and so much more. Beyond the stunning views and picture-perfect setting, what really made this venue unforgettable was Missy and her amazing family who own and operate it. From our very first walk-through, Missy took the time to thoughtfully walk us through every detail of our vision. She brought such warmth, kindness, and expertise to the entire process—and on the day of, she made sure every single thing ran seamlessly. Missy, the owner, is an absolute joy to work with and she was there for us every step of the way. She does a great job answering questions and reccomending vendors and also made sure things ran smoothly the day of.
There's also a lot of flexibility on how you want to use the space. Instead of having the dance portion in the reception hall, we did it outside in the courtyard and it worked out beautifully.
HIGHLY reccomend this place!

and are both extremely kind and helpful. Missy especially is responsive, organized, communicative, and clearly loves her job and helping others have unforgettable weddings. She went above and beyond to make our wedding a special day and is such a kind and genuine person. Stoney Ridge is gorgeous! Tons of ceremony space options, amazing photo spots, open vendors, and overall dream of a wedding venue. Everyone couldn’t believe what a hidden jem it was, nor could they believe it was in Texas! I won’t forget our beautiful wedding or memories at Stoney Ridge Villa. I am so thankful we found it, and I’m so thankful for Missy. 10/10 recommend you host your special day here, you will not regret it!

They run the venue really well - plenty of parking for guests, one of the only venues we looked at with ice onsite (who knew that'd be so rare), little things thought of like multiple steamers in the bridal suite (which is huge and has fantastic lighting for makeup), handle security for you, and have an open vendor policy (except bartenders - the company they required was great though). Just about every guest made a comment to me about how beautiful our wedding venue was. There are so many different backdrops for photos too, which is great. And the tile wall of all the couples married there is such a great idea - you become part of the venue and family. Would absolutely recommend, you won't be let down!

We held our wedding at Stoney Ridge Villa in October 2023 and I'm so glad I chose this location!
PROS:
- The owner, Missy is friendly, helpful, very responsive to emails, and has ...
great energy. Throughout the entire process, I felt like she really wanted make sure that our day was special.
- The venue is absolutely gorgeous. This fit our hacienda vibe and our guests were so impressed!
CONS (I really wanted to leave the full 5 stars but there's one thing to note)
- On the wedding evening, a bridesmaid had an expensive bottle of champagne missing from the bridal suite. We were ensured that the suite would be locked since we had purses, keys, all belongings there. When asked at the end of the night, Missy informed me that the contract stated security would confiscate all alcohol left in the suite. I did read the contract (in addition to a million other ones leading up to the wedding) so I wish that was reminded to myself & the bridal party on the day of. The champagne wasn't seen again so all we know is that security took it. I felt terrible having to explain this to a bridesmaid considering that we were told everything would be locked away.
If belonging's are going to be taken, this is something that should be over-communicated to those in the bridal suite, not just the bride. On the big day, there's just no way I can remind every person about every single detail written in the contract.

get married. Missy is extremely communicative and thorough, as well as one of the nicest, most caring individuals I have ever met. She assisted in ensuring our wedding day and all planning up to it was executed seamlessly. If you are even remotely on the fence of booking here or not, just do it! Plus, the views and pictures, BREATHTAKING. All of our guests were blown away by how gorgeous the venue is.
