Stony Creek Brewery

The Staff at Stony Creek went above and behind for our wedding day. Jocelyn was clear and timely with her communication. Jocelyn and Katie ran a great show on the day of the event, and we still have guest telling us how great of a time they had. The Venue itself offered a outdoor ceremony overlooking the water and boats, followed by a cocktail hour in the brew room and finally a great reception where guest had the opportunity to run around on the dance floor, or take a drink on the patio for a relaxing moment. Will happily recommend this venue.

This year started out with our original venue canceling on us 5 months before our wedding, so we called Stony Creek Brewery and thankfully they had our date available and were able to accommodate all our original outside vendors—great! But then quarantine happened. We postponed no problem, and Jen from SCB checked in on us throughout all the phased openings. She always eased our stresses and was confident in making things work for us, even when 90% of Branford lost power TWO DAYS before the wedding! We had a lot of curve-balls, but we couldn’t have done it without SCB and Jen. Their entire staff is amazing and the service and made the day go smoothly. I am so grateful and appreciative that we were able to have our reception despite all the craziness, and we were able to enjoy our day without worrying about the details. The venue is absolutely beautiful inside and out (that water view from the deck😍) and all our guests had such a great time. Highly recommend!!!

The team at Stony Creek is AMAZING! My husband and I live in Virginia, but I'm originally from Connecticut, and he's originally from Long Island. Stony Creek not only gave us a great place that wasn't too far for our guests but also was only a mile from the church we were married in. Ali, Jennifer, and the entire team were awesome from day one of planning. I had worried about hiring a day-of coordinator to help with decorating but was able to drop off all our decorations a few days before with instructions on the few things that mattered where they went, and Ali and her team took care of everything! They even broke everything down for us at the end of the night which allowed us to go back to the hotel for our after party! The beer is amazing, especially with all the seltzers and other offerings as well. We picked a Friday, so we did not have access to the brew floor, but that's ok! Our 89 guests can't stop talking about how much fun they had, and how amazing our wedding was, and it's in no small part to the team at Stony Creek who made our day unforgettable and stress free!

Ali and the Stony team went above and beyond to make our day special. The venue was amazing, the beer is great, but honestly the staff are what blew us away. We live in MA and were worried about having a venue so far away. We also were trying to keep the costs down and didn't hire a wedding planner/coordinator and you honestly don't need to here. Ali was so prompt with all communications and answered all of our questions. She was very flexible with scheduling meetings and really showed her experience with guiding the conversation. There were so many things we did not even consider and she was able to address. The day of the wedding, we had a hiccup with the floor plan as we didnt have enough tables set up for the catering. Completely my fault since I made the floor plan. Ali brought the issue up to me when the caterer arrived and already provided solutions. She was able to keep any stress down and managed the day perfectly. The staff running the bar that day were an absolute blast too. They had such a great energy. It could just be people being nice but many of our guests commented about how much fun they had and how great everyone working was. I 100% recommend having your wedding or really any event here.

Recently attended a wedding here and I was not impressed. The facility itself is very nice, you can tell they put money into it. The issue is: they keep the brewery open (bottom floor) while a wedding is going on upstairs. The patrons downstairs are drunk, rowdy and loud. I couldn’t hear any of the speeches, and it was hard to concentrate on romantic and intimate moments because of the noise. To make matters worse, and I’m sorry to say this but I have to be honest, the beer isn’t great. I mean we’re at a brewery! You expect good beer. I love beer but I ended up having something else because I couldn’t even drink the beer here. Conclusion: yes the setting is cute, but it’s not a romantic or intimate place. If you plan on having a wedding that is very casual and you don’t mind people yelling and making noise downstairs while it goes on, this is the place for you.

Ali and Jenn at Stony Creek made my son's wedding into an unforgettable experience! Their devotion and hard work was amazing. They made us feel comfortable and gave us excellent advice every step of the way. The wedding itself was exactly what we wanted from the beautiful ceremony which they helped to orchestrate to set up [inside- outside] to the last guest leaving. We all felt welcomed and relaxed because we knew that they where looking after all the details! The party room is on the second floor of the brewery and has a lovely L shaped deck. We had a beautiful spring afternoon/evening so we where able to have the ceremony outside and then place the Photo Booth and 5 tables outside. With that we accommodated 140 guest easily. If it had rained we would have done the ceremony in front of their lovely fire place and they would have set up the room for dinner while we where having cocktails downstairs in the brew room. Although the venue can fit 150 people that number leaves little room for dancing. Ali and Jenn told us that clearly from the first meeting with them and told us that if we had bad weather and could not use the deck that they would remove some tables after dinner for dancing. we really like the was that they explained every detail so that there where no surprises! I would absolutely recommend this venue for a fun casual event!

Absolutely beautiful venue and so much fun! Guests would not stop coming up to us saying what a great wedding location it was. The coordinators are super helpful with everything and the prices are pretty reasonable considering the cost of weddings now. I highly recommend this venue to any couple interested. Its by far, the best brewery to be wed in CT. Our ceremony was on the deck overlooking the water, then the guests enjoyed cocktail hour setup in the brew house, then back up to the celebration room for our reception where there was plenty of room to dance and enjoy ourselves. They even brought cornhole up on the which many of the guests (including the children) really enjoyed! The pictures we got here are so unique.

I believe we were one of the first few weddings here. It was FANTASTIC. We wanted a wedding that was uniquely us. We were lucky to get married in the brew house which provided a fun and different experience for our guests. Their catering recommendations were on point, as were the drinks. Would recommend having a planner to coordinate with Ali as there are a lot of moving parts to coordinate with vendors and such. It was our dream wedding and we are so happy we get to go back and relive our fun memories whenever we want! P.S. it is handicap accessible; there is an elivator.

Had our bridal shower at Stony Creek and loved it! They were very accommodating and the service was great! Beautiful event room upstairs was perfect - would definitely recommend this venue for events such as a bridal shower!

We got married at Stony Creek over the summer, and it was perfect in every way. Every single staff member went above and beyond on our day to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of throughout. Ali and Jen were both so easy to work with and made all my plans come to life. Our friends literally can not stop talking about the venue. It was such a beautiful and fun place, I can't recommend it highly enough!

So disappointed. I was hoping this was the place I was going to get married. My fiancé and I spent an hour and a half at stony creek brewery waiting for our scheduled venue tour and we were told there was a meeting that was running over their allotted time... by over an hour. The bartenders were really nice but I can't imagine what would happen on our wedding day if our tour was such a mess. Awesome looking venue, just seems like they can't really coordinate.
