If we could relive our wedding day over and over again, we would choose Storrowton Tavern and Carriage House at The Big E every single time.
From the moment we first toured the property, we knew it was special. The historic Meeting House for our ceremony and the beautiful Carriage House for our reception created the perfect setting, but what truly made this venue extraordinary wasn't the buildings—it was the people.
Michelle, our wedding coordinator, is one of the most incredible people we have ever had the privilege of working with. By the end of our wedding journey, she wasn't just our coordinator—she felt like a friend. She cared about our wedding as though it were her own, and that level of dedication is something we will never forget.
Every step of the planning process was thoughtful and stress-free. Michelle constantly reassured us that they would take care of everything, and they truly did. We were able to drop off our decorations days before the wedding, knowing her team would set everything up exactly as we envisioned. We never had to worry about rushing the night before or asking family members to work instead of enjoying the celebration. They handled it all.
The little things are what made the biggest impression. During cocktail hour, Michelle made sure that every appetizer we had chosen was brought to us while we were taking photographs. After photographs there was private room for the wedding party to relax and enjoy some food and beverages before entering the reception which was an important moment we had not even realized we needed.
The food deserves its own five-star review. Every recommendation Michelle made was outstanding, and the culinary team exceeded every expectation. The hors d'oeuvres, dinner, and desserts were phenomenal, and our guests are still talking about how incredible everything tasted. Every detail was carefully thought out, and you could tell how much pride the entire team takes in what they do.
There were so many thoughtful touches that we never expected. They created a beautiful balloon photo display for us, handled every setup detail, packaged everything at the end of the night, and never nickel-and-dimed us with unnecessary fees. We felt like their focus wasn't on charging for every little thing—it was on giving us the best wedding day possible.
One of the things we appreciated most was how easy the venue was for our guests. Parking was plentiful, everything was conveniently located on the property, and once everyone arrived, they could simply relax and enjoy the celebration without worrying about traffic or logistics. It truly felt like our own private little corner of the world.
Not a single guest left our wedding without telling us how beautiful the venue was, how incredible the food was, and how much fun they had. Scott and I agree that none of that happened by accident. It happened because Michelle and the entire Storrowton team poured their hearts into making our wedding everything we had dreamed of and more.
There are beautiful venues everywhere, but what makes Storrowton Village Museum so extraordinary is the people behind it. They don't just host weddings—they create unforgettable experiences and genuinely care about the couples they serve. We will be forever grateful to Michelle and the entire team for giving us the most perfect day of our lives.
From initial venue tour to picking up our decor the day after our wedding, the team at Storrowton was professional, friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Michele was our main contact and I'm quite certain she could manage a wedding reception in her sleep! The value and location were two of the main reasons we chose Storrowton Carriage House for our ceremony and reception. This venue had so much included in the package price and didn't nickel and dime us for things like champagne toasts (included in price), linens and table settings (included), and the option to borrow centerpieces. The food was EXCEPTIONAL! We had so many guests share this sentiment with us the day of and immediately after. We wholeheartedly recommend Storrowton Tavern & Carriage House!
