We had a wonderful experience hosting our wedding and reception at SHFH. The space was very reasonably priced for the Milwaukee area, especially for the value we got (14 hours of a...
ccess to space, room flip, 4 hours of open bar with name brand liquor) and for the time of year we got married (mid-June, peak season!). We had about 90 guests and had plenty of space, even with us all inside during some rain. The venue and gardens are gorgeous and beautifully conserved.
Amy was PHENOMENAL to work with! She always answered emails quickly and had answers to every question we asked, plus she was on site all day for our wedding and helped everything go smoothly. I can't say enough good things about this place.
Beautiful intimate venue with endless charm and character. Amy was fantastic to work with. She made the pre-planning and day-of run so smoothly. She went above and beyond to make s...
ure everything was perfect all the way down to the little details. Her excitement over our vision and wants for the day, made the experience feel more fun and less overwhelming.
This Venue was beautifully unique and perfectly fit our small wedding. We worked closely with Amy, and she was amazing! She helped me plan the perfect wedding, answered my many man...
y questions, and clearly has a passion for this. Everything was exactly as I wanted it, and she made me feel at ease up to the day of my wedding. Thanks Amy and Story Hill!
Story Hill FireHouse was the perfect venue for our September wedding! From the moment we met with Amy, Event Manager, to discuss the venue, we knew that we made the correct choice....
The space was the right fit for our under 100 wedding and it provided a variety of unique ways to customize our wedding.
The staff was friendly, easy to work with, and the bartenders were wonderful. We had a lot of non-alcoholic drinkers at our wedding and they made specialty drinks on the menu for us!
Our ceremony was held in the courtyard and we were able to repurpose our lantern decor in the reception hall. The traffic noise wasn't an issue and there was a nice amount of shade for a warm day.
We also rented the bride and groom suite which provided us more time to get everything set up. We also utilized indoor lights to provide a glow for our wedding along with lanterns that the venue helped hang from the ceiling.
Amy was there to help us through the whole wedding process and the day of our wedding. She was helpful with getting our vendors what they needed day of and made the day seamless for us to enjoy our wedding.
I look forward to having future events at this venue!
We are so impressed by Amy at Story Hill.
First off, she always made us feel like we were the only people getting married there. I never doubted anything while working with her. ...
She truly went above and beyond for us, and I can’t express that enough.
Not only is the venue gorgeous, but it has so much unique charm. We got endless compliments on the space, and all the adorable fireman touches that are still presented throughout the entire venue.
We are so grateful. 🩷
Story Hill Firehouse was the perfect background for our wedding day! It was the perfect size for our wedding of about 90-100 guests. Amy was amazing to work with and so helpful wit...
h making our day turn out great! They are also a dog friendly venue!
We used the green space next to the building for the ceremony and with were it is placed, the traffic from Hawley was quieted down. We rented the Edison lights to use which was a beautiful touch to the engine bay. We had plenty of room for 11 tables and then when dancing started they opened up the big doors and brought the party outside. In addition, we rented their trolley to use for our guests at a near by hotel and everyone loved it.
Bar service was great! The bartenders were amazing and did a great job with keeping the drinks flowing. We did an open bar for four hours with beer, wine and call liquor. We also had two speciality drinks available for our guests, and we did a dinner wine per my dad’s request.
We got married at Story Hill Firehouse yesterday and it was perfect!! Amy is more than amazing as is the rest of the staff. She helped me through all of my anxieties and worked wi...
th me through the entire process. If I ever had to do it all again, I would not hesitate one second and rebook with them. Our guests were so complimentary of the space and everyone involved.
As soon as we saw the Story Hill Fire House, we knew it would be on our short list for wedding reception venues. As soon as we toured and met with Amy, the manager, we knew it was ...
the one for us! As it turns out, we made a great decision – we’re still getting compliments on the venue four months later! Story Hill Fire House was very fairly priced, especially for a Friday night, and both Janelle and Amy, as well as their staff, were responsive, professional, and went above and beyond what was advertised. The space is warm and inviting and strikes the perfect balance between formal and relaxed. It’s beautiful enough that we didn’t need to spend an arm and a leg on flowers and decor, and the fun Milwaukee history was right up our alley as a couple! It is a little smaller than many local venues, but we liked it enough that we chose to do a cocktail style reception rather than a seated dinner just so we could fit 150 people in the space. We held our ceremony at our church, so we did not need this service, but we have no doubts that they would’ve pulled off a ceremony and “flipping” the space with no issues had we needed it. Additionally, we were a little worried about street parking, but it ended up being a complete non-issue. In all, we loved hosting our wedding reception at Story Hill Fire House, would recommend it to anyone, and would absolutely host another event here in the future!
BOOK IT!!! We reached out to Janelle and Amy after having to cancel our wedding in Jamaica (COVID). Janelle was amazing through the whole process - kept me in the loop, suggested v...

n a blessing through this entire experience. I have spent countless hours just chatting with them and they have provided me with way more than necessary advice and tips! They are just as excited about our wedding as we are. The place has so much historic charm and is the perfect place for intimate wedding. 10/10/2020 can’t come soon enough!
