Very good at finding flattering angles and good lighting! I'm not usually photogenic, but you'd never be able to tell. Not to mention, our outdoor wedding was moved indoors due to hurricane Delta, so all the spots we had predetermined were useless. Still, she helped us to decide on new spots for all the important things like first looks, couples photos after the ceremony, etc. She went above and beyond to drive us downtown in a small break in the rain during that hurricane to take the outdoor pictures we'd planned on for months. We're so very impressed by the job she did and will be reccomending her to everyone.

Booking Shelby for our wedding was the best decision we ever made. She was so fun and easy to work with, and we really appreciated how flexible and accommodating she was during the sudden changes that Coronavirus imposed on our wedding. Booking Shelby was one of the best decisions we made during wedding planning. Me and my now husband haven't enjoyed getting our pictures taken in the past because we find the posed photos feel awkward and inauthentic. Since we live out of state and couldn’t meet with a photographer until the day of our wedding, we were placing as much importance on reviews about each photographers’ personality as we were on seeing their past wedding images (which is why I’m leaving a review now!). We also really appreciated how transparent she is online about her prices and found her travel fees to Bentonville very reasonable. Because the pandemic had transformed our April wedding into a May elopement, the only people present were us, our wedding planner, and Shelby. To our delight, she wasn’t just a great photographer but also such a cool human being. The process of having our photos taken felt so natural. She was excellent at directing us into poses that didn’t feel forced, which I really appreciated as someone who never knows what to do with my hands. Now, on to the photos we got back… They truly speak for themselves. We were told by many friends and family members that the photos alone made them feel like they hadn’t missed our wedding day. Being able to capture that moment and share it with everyone we wish could have been present is something I am so so grateful for. I couldn’t recommend Shelby any more highly for couples who may be eloping.
