In a heartbeat, I'd recommend Storyteller Videography. I am not exaggerating, I probably looked at hundreds of videos trying to compare prices and quality and I didn't want to compromise on either.
Super personable: From the very first emai...l, I got a super personable response from Mike, who kept in touch with me even when I wasn't sure I would be able to fit a video into my budget. Whereas I'd gotten responses from other videographers who didn't even bother to respond or kept the email very short and indifferent, you can tell Mike is truly a people person and is in this business for more than just a paycheck.
Very flexible: I didn't have a large budget and he worked with me to find a solution that would work for us. Now that's not to say that I didn't spend a pretty penny but for the quality he provides (truly top-notch and just as amazing as those $4000 videos you see other places), it was worth it. I'd recommend the "Ultra budget" option while he still has it. You can go a la carte and even determine how many minutes you want the video to be. We did a 4-minute video highlight, edited ceremony and speeches and that was just perfect. (You don't even necessarily need speeches because some of that ends up in the highlight video). Anyway, a good videographer can tell a good story in 4 minutes...
Top quality: Which brings me to quality. Like I said, I looked at so many videos I wanted to scream. I'm sentimental, a storyteller by profession, an actress as a hobby and I know what it means to tell a good story. I know what to look for. I didn't want to spend money on a crappy video. His ultra budget price is very fair (and maybe even generous compared to how outrageous some people's prices are). Feel free to watch my video, it was truly amazing. He did a great job capturing the magic in just 4 minutes. http://vimeo.com/108029144. Pastor and your groom will be mic'd so you can hear everything that's going on. The music in the ceremony was crystal clear. The reception speeches were awesome because he strongly encourages speakers to use a mic stand for top audio pickup. Mike is just a one-man show but he somehow caught a bunch of different angles that I'm still amazed by. Overhead shots, up close. All of it. Overall, he not only edited a beautiful video he truly captured the spirit and the energy and the emotion of the day. Now that's someone who lives up to his company name — Storyteller Videography.
Not distracting: I barely noticed he was there that day. He doesn't try to make things "happen" or step into your personal moments with your loved ones, he is a great observer. That's what you want.
Moral of this long review? Choose Storyteller Videography. You won't be sorry. My hubby wasn't so enthused about spending money on a video and boy is he glad we did. The day flies by so fast and you'll be thankful to have your special moments captured forever (besides in your memory, because you should definitely make it a point to make your own mental/heart snapshots throughout the day). Alright, your decision for video has been made. Onto the next thing ;)
