Ever the procrastinator, I waited far too long to book someone to do my hair for our wedding. We got married at Sierra Vista in Virginia, and I am from California, so I had an even harder time trying to figure out where to go for an affordable and experienced stylist. All the places I had looked were charging hundreds and hundreds of dollars- it seemed so crazy to me. A friend from the area we were getting married at recommended that I contact Tanya Gordon at Strands Salon and I am SO HAPPY I did. I gave Tanya my vision and she immediately got it. It was such a huge weight off my shoulders!! During our trial run, we decided on exactly what to do for the big day. Tanya is not only so fun to work with, she is also incredibly talented. I wanted a whispy, romantic, low, loose side bun with curls and waves and boy did she ever deliver. I couldn’t believe how beautiful my wedding hair looked. It was romantic but rustic and natural, just like I had envisioned. My hair looked better than I could have ever dreamed of! All thanks to Tanya! She also did my mom’s hair and my bridesmaid’s hair and everyone looked INCREDIBLE. I couldn’t be happier that Tanya was part of our big day and I truly cannot say enough good things about her. She is absolutely wonderful and if you want beautiful and affordable hair on your wedding day, Tanya is your girl!
