This band is so good that we booked this band as the first vendor when our daughter got engaged. As professional musicians ourselves, we are very selective and this band is so goo...
d that when the dancing started, no one sat down until the end of the reception. They know how to pace and read the crowd. They are extremely professional and easy to work with. The professional videographer who we hired online, drove several hours to film the wedding. However, he elected to stay way past his contracted time because he said it was the most fun wedding he had been to and he didn't want to leave. All because of the Street Players. They are the best!

ectations and they make it a point to engage each and every guest at your reception. They pay special attention to make every guest feel involved and a pivotal part of the reception instead of just an "observer". And not only do these musicians play incredible music, but they are hands down some of the most talented and skilled musicians that I have ever witnessed. John was a joy to work with, going above and beyond every expectation to make sure our day went exactly as we imagined. They even learned a new song to play for our first dance and it sounded better than the original - WOW! The dance floor was still PACKED at the end of our reception. If you want your wedding to be the best party you or any of your guests have ever attended, The Street Players is the way to go. I will be recommending them to everyone I know who is getting married.
WOW! People are still bragging about how much fun they had at our wedding. They helped with our unique Blues Brothers inspired intro and got everyone on the floor dancing-even my G...
ranny! We laughed so hard when the MOB sang shout on stage and they did such an amazing job engaging our entire 200 person wedding. We could not have had more fun at our reception and we owe that to the Street Players!
The Street Players did a wonderful job at our wedding. They were able to keep the energy to and people on the dance floor. They also did a great job of playing music for all ages!

tely recommend bringing an iPod if you have some specific songs you want to hear, they can play them when they take a break, and then get right back to their amazing live music. I would suggest them to anyone looking for a live band for the wedding.

all our guests, of all ages. They had us singing, the mother of the bride on stage signing, and at one point had all the women on stage dancing! The night ended with a surprise dance which we will never forget. Thank you Street Players!
These guys were AWESOME!! Everyone loved them. They made our wedding the "fun" wedding. They had a good range of songs that appealed to our entire audience. Everyone was on the...
dancefloor. Literally. We probably should have asked if there was a bigger floor we could add on to accomodate all of the guests that were dancing. A lot of people commented they had never seen a dance floor that packed at a wedding. I have a lot of girlfriends that are engaged that attended our wedding. They asked for the band's contact info to try to get them for their weddings next year, because they were so impressed with the music and experience the Street Players provided.
We found them because we have a friend that is in the OSU marching band. The Street Players play at the OSU marching band formals. I figured, if "the best damn band in the land" thinks the Street Players are good enough, they must be great! And they are!
The lead singer gets everyone involved. They also had little fun things they did special throughout the night. Like we had a "tribute song" at the end of the night where everyone gathered around us (to get on the dance floor one last time). They had all the young ladies get up on stage with them and sing "brown eyed girl" while they played the instrumentals. And they had a little activity for the guy and girl that caught the garter/bouquet- it was so cute. These were fun surprises that only a band of their quality can provide.
They set the tone for the entire wedding. There is something especially classy about a live band. And they wear tuxes--cool.
They were very easy to contact. John (the leader) responded via email or phone usually within the same day. They were very professional and helpful.
We choreographed our first dance, and they played the song very true to the particular version that they said they played.
The only drawback you have with any live band is they do not play everything. They have a specific genre (and are very good at it). Therefore, they didn't have "our song" (a female pop song) in their repetoire--this ended up being good because we picked a new song, and it's even better than the first. If you want something outside this genre, think about getting a DJ instead. Another cool thing- they tailor what they play based on how the guests respond. So they don't have a song-by-song playlist. They custom make it on the spot to maximize entertainment. We gave them some examples (off of their play list) that characterized what type of music we and our guests like. I think that really helped them tailor the event to our audience.
They've been doing weddings probably longer than you've been alive. They know how the night goes. They can help you with the time schedule and order of events. They are great at coordinating all of the events with the photographer and announcing what is going on to all of the guests. They also continually announced what the bride and groom were doing as "mr. and mrs. ____" It really made us feel special!
My parents went to see them play at a local restuarant while we were on our honeymoon because they wanted to see them play again-they are THAT good.
The price was reasonable. I would have paid more for the awesome service they provided.
Book them. Now. You won't regret it.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the Street Players.
They rocked out on the dance floor and everyone had a great time. From a guest's perspective they were awesome.;While they were easy to work with in the beginning, as it got closer...
, I could tell that my opinion didn't matter. I was told they play whatever music they want, regardless of my preferences and were very difficult to work with in terms of working out some special songs I wanted on a CD. When my husband asked them for a song at the reception (the Twist, pretty common and definitely on their repetoire), they told him NO. They also told my mother (writing the checks NO on a number of occasions). They played some random song before the first dance, which while it didn't ruin the wedding, certainly didn't give the impact we were hoping for the dance lessons we took. Basically, I found these guys were pretty cocky and wouldn't recommend them. There are a ton of good bands in this area. Hire one of them. Perhaps they will treat you with the respect you deserve.
