We also did something a little different than the traditional garter toss and dollar dance and he rocked out that request and kept our guests entertained all night. He stuck to our do-not-play list and then read the crowd on what kept people out on the dance floor. So so good.

The lighting was perfect - not too DJish to overwhelm you if you're looking for a more chill vibe. We had such a hard time deciding between a band and a DJ, so do yourself a favor and get both with String and Sound. Jason & Molly were incredible at our wedding and reception. I have never heard such beautiful music from 2 people, live. We love you guys! Worth every penny.

Our first dance sung live by Jason was absolutely incredible. So many of the quests had to look up to see who was singing cause for a second they thought it was Ed Sherran himself. I would recommend String and Sound time and time again and have already referred quite a few of my friends to them as well. They are just absolutely wonderful individuals to work with, very caring and they want to make your big day a perfect one. They are affordable (especially for an amazing live band) and they can cater to your style of music and add in personal touches a well. Any Bride who was so lucky enough to have the wedding of their dreams they want to pass on all in information in the world, in hope you can help make someone else's better... Having String and Sound as a part of our magical wedding was one of the best decisions we made by far! They provide the best of both worlds and will do both! Our guests loved that we had the live violin, guitar and singing during the ceremony and then the DJ set up at the reception. It was also very nice to have a few live songs during the reception. Their voices are amazing and they had a great song selection for the reception as well. We also had a special request of having our announcements and songs be bilingual. String and Sound did not hesitate to find a solution for us and provide services to our guests in both English and Spanish! ure if they would be ready, they don't really communicate much until a few weeks before the wedding, but they were able to flow with everything at the wedding and ended up being incredible. Definitely don't regret this decision!

All the live songs were better than the originals and the DJ service was so much fun. I had guests all night coming up to me asking where we found them! Shivawn were fantastic! So many of our guests have commented on how wonderful the music was. The live music during the ceremony and our first dance really made it feel more personal, and we were so happy with how it all sounded! During the reception they did a phenomenal job of keeping everybody on the dance floor. Before the wedding, Jason and I emailed back and forth a few times as well as spoke on the phone. He was very responsive and was able to accommodate all of my song requests for live music. They are so professional and extremely talented! We were so happy and would recommend their service to anybody!

our ceremony but was trying to figure out how to incorporate certain songs for our reception if we hired a band. So S&S was the perfect answer for us. They played beautifully for our ceremony. They were able to play all the songs I had requested. We also picked the package that included a custom song written by them. A few months before the wedding my fiance and I filled out a questionnaire sent over by S&S with information about us and our love story. When it came time for it to be sung at the wedding I had no idea what to expect. I cannot begin to describe the amount of joy and laughter that was produced from this song. It was amazing. It was like a Johnny Cash song which is my fiancé's favorite and it just so perfectly fit us as a couple that you would have thought we wrote it. I am so happy that we didn't go for the traditional DJ or the new thing of "just an ipod" it was unique and special and everyone attending couldn't stop talking about the awesome custom song. Thank you so much String and Sound for making our day even more memorable.

On top of their awesome reception music (a mix of live songs for first dances and awesome DJ'ing), they provided amazing live ceremony music for us. We had some pretty unique requests (Blink 182 and Harry Potter), and they executed it perfectly! We highly recommend them, and would re-hire them in a heartbeat.
