om start to finish. She listened carefully to our vision and helped us craft the perfect musical experience for our ceremony. And that was no easy task as our playlist for the wedding and cocktail hour ranged from classical chamber literature to Icelandic punk-rock, Irish folk, New Orleans jazz, and movie soundtracks.
Kanako was professional, responsive, and truly attentive to our preferences. She made the planning process smooth and enjoyable, and on the day of the wedding, everything went exactly as we had hoped. The music was beautiful, perfectly timed, and added such a meaningful and memorable touch to our celebration. The string quartet perfectly embodied the grandeur and magical feel of The Monastery. And the jazz combo could not have set a more casual and fun vibe during the cocktail hour.

025 wedding and they were, BY FAR, the easiest vendors to work with (and I had really agreeable vendors for the most part!). We had them play an extended guest welcome/prelude, our wedding ceremony, as well as our cocktail hour and they absolutely set the tone for the evening. Everything from classical to Top 40 to even a special song I requested them to learn for the ceremony, they absolutely nailed. No notes. 100/10. One of my only and major regrets for my own wedding was that I didn't get to see more of them myself, but my guests were blown away with them. I could not imagine not having them at our wedding - Kanako and her team are not only easy-going as far as working together but also incredibly professional as well as affordable. Have I mentioned how amazing they sound?! I'm already scheming more parties in my head that I can throw to have them play at. Thank you so much!!

During our ceremony, no one had to worry about timing the walking because String Source is so experienced and will either slow down or speed up what they’re playing so you don’t have to worry. day and our guests continue to remark on how beautifully they played both classical and pop pieces. One of our favorite memories is sitting down after our first dance to begin dinner as their sextet began playing Viva La Vida. Their playing created a magical and high energy atmosphere through the meal that beautifully led up to speeches. When Stringsource finished their set, our guests broke out into a spontaneous round of applause - everyone had loved it!
Kanako also worked closely with us (with amazing patience and responsiveness) to compose two special medleys combining some of our favorite pieces, which Stringsource played during cocktail hour and for our first dance - it turned out better than we could have ever imagined. StringSource played the 30min prelude and ceremony music. They also played the cocktail hour at our reception. We wanted music that meant something to us rather than traditional classical pieces. She let us choose all of the music which were mostly contemporary and acoustic pieces. They even accompanied our daughter when she sang a song to us at the reception. It was all perfection!
