Stromme Weddings

Hey! I'm Patrick Stromme. Nice to meetchya. <3 For weddings, I take on a documentary, artistic, & editorial style approach. The images are clean, the colors are vivid, and the skin tones are soft and naturalistic (not overly orange, green, or dull brown). I strive to create honest, emotionally charged images that tell your genuine story. I want you to feel comfortable and I want you to be your authentic self. I dont want your wedding to feel like you're putting on some sort of production or have this feeling that you have to "act" in front of the camera. My biggest goal is that you feel confident in being yourself, because that translates directly to the magic and beauty I'm able to photographically capture. I'm constantly, queitly rooting for you. Your wedding day is packed full of emotions - You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll get serious, you’ll feel butterflies, and I’ll be there to capture all of it with empathy and artistic vision. I obtained my Masters of Fine Art degree from UW-Milwaukee in 2017 and as a professor I taught figure drawing and portraiture for 4 years at two universities. I began capturing images on film at the age of 16 after discovering my dad’s old Nikon in the attic. My images, colors, mood, feel, and compositions are all derived from my background in painting and film. To this day I still develop several rolls of film a month, by hand, in our kitchen sink and enlarge them in my darkroom. Its rare that I shoot film during a wedding day, but if you're deeply interested I'm more than happy to accommodate that interest. On a personal note: Besides shooting weddings I’m an artist who has shown oil paintings nationally and internationally. I’m a family man and full-time stay-at-home-parent to two little girlies (supportive girl dad right here), their names are Maple and Lucille. I like fishing, working out, and listening to soft indie, heavy metal, and occasionally girly pop music.
