One of the first sneak peeks he sent us was a photo that made me cry. I felt like the most beautiful bride in the world, and seeing that photo made all the planning and hard work feel worth it. Another favorite is a photo he captured during our private vows of a single tear rolling down my cheek as I listened to my soon-to-be husband's vows. These tiny, emotional moments are exactly what we hoped our photographer would capture. He also did an incredible job photographing our dogs, who were an important part of our wedding. Looking through our gallery has allowed us to relive the day and remember moments we had forgotten or never realized happened. We have so many favorites that we're struggling to decide which ones to print and frame! Patrick was wonderful with our families and wedding party. Our families absolutely loved him and felt comfortable around him. He remembered special requests we had made, even ones we had forgotten about once the day got busy and made sure they were captured. Hey! I'm Patrick Stromme. Nice to meetchya. <3 For weddings, I take on a documentary, artistic, & editorial style approach. The images are clean, the colors are vivid, and the skin tones are soft and naturalistic (not overly orange, green, or dull brown). I strive to create honest, emotionally charged images that tell your genuine story. I want you to feel comfortable and I want you to be your authentic self. I dont want your wedding to feel like you're putting on some sort of production or have this feeling that you have to "act" in front of the camera. My biggest goal is that you feel confident in being yourself, because that translates directly to the magic and beauty I'm able to photographically capture. I'm constantly, queitly rooting for you. Your wedding day is packed full of emotions - You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll get serious, you’ll feel butterflies, and I’ll be there to capture all of it with empathy and artistic vision. I obtained my Masters of Fine Art degree from UW-Milwaukee in 2017 and as a professor I taught figure drawing and portraiture for 4 years at two universities. I began capturing images on film at the age of 16 after discovering my dad’s old Nikon in the attic. My images, colors, mood, feel, and compositions are all derived from my background in painting and film. To this day I still develop several rolls of film a month, by hand, in our kitchen sink and enlarge them in my darkroom. Its rare that I shoot film during a wedding day, but if you're deeply interested I'm more than happy to accommodate that interest. On a personal note: Besides shooting weddings I’m an artist who has shown oil paintings nationally and internationally. I’m a family man and full-time stay-at-home-parent to two little girlies (supportive girl dad right here), their names are Maple and Lucille. I like fishing, working out, and listening to soft indie, heavy metal, and occasionally girly pop music.

Hey! I'm Patrick! I’ve shot weddings for 10+ years and my experience behind the camera goes far beyond that. With a Masters Degree in fine art - film photography and portraiture/figure drawing - I continue to be, and always have been, in the visual realm. With that being said, shooting a wedding takes more than knowing your gear and being artistic. It’s important to me that you feel comfortable, confident, and at ease while I’m by your side. Even though we also had a videographer and content creator, Patrick naturally took charge when needed and kept everything moving without ever feeling bossy or intrusive. One of my favorite moments happened later in the evening. Guests kept pulling me away for more pictures, and I was completely socially drained. Patrick could read it on my face before I even said anything. He simply looked at me and said, "You're done with pictures." It was exactly what I needed to hear. It gave me permission to step away for a few quiet minutes in the bridal suite, and after that I was able to come back refreshed and fully enjoy the rest of the night which he also captured beautifully. We’re actually having a hard time figuring out which pictures to frame because we honestly have too many “favorites!” (I guess that’s a good problem to have) :) Patrick has such an artistic eye and is able to catch the “feels” of the day with such ease, along with 100% capturing who we are as individuals and all of our goofy moments together as a couple. Communicating with Patrick and Michelle was so easy – even in the craziness of 2020! He showed up early to give us extra time for shooting and fit in so well with our crazy family and friends. My parents were raving about him for weeks after the wedding, saying how sweet and thoughtful he was when taking photos and respecting social distancing/masking while also taking incredible photos! He really makes you feel comfortable, to the point where we often didn’t even notice he was there snapping our picture! He also kept me on track with timing, helped me to prioritize what to focus on at different times (I am not organized and need that in my life- lol!), and made sure that we were laughing and having a good time the whole day. He really is such a professional. Unfortunately, Michelle was not able to join us because she was very pregnant at the time (Sept 2020) and we definitely missed her on the day of the wedding (she is the biggest sweetheart, too)! She was great with communicating beforehand and gave us great tips for planning out the wedding-day timeline and ideas for location shots. Overall, we feel so lucky to have chosen PM photography to capture our special day and would choose them 1,000 times over if we had to make this decision again. Thank you to an amazing couple and if you’re in the market for incredible photographers and debating about who to go with – just go ahead and book them already- you will NOT regret it! :)

I feel incredibly comfortable during our engagement and wedding photos. During our engagement session Patrick and Michelle were asking us questions and we felt that they were really trying to get to know us. I think that Patrick had a smile on his face the whole time! We could tell that they enjoy their work, and work extremely well together. The day of our wedding we had some delays. Patrick and Michelle were willing to go with the flow and change up our timeline in order to get in the photos we needed to. There was also a moment when I (the bride) had stress come to a head and got emotional. Michelle and I were alone together and she comforted me (her counseling degree comes in handy)! How amazing is that!?!? When we were taking both our engagement and wedding photos Patrick and Michelle made us feel like rock stars, complimenting us on how amazing we looked, sending positive vibes our way throughout the whole day and evening. Ultimately Patrick and Michelle were invaluable to our whole wedding preparation and experience. They were so kind and helpful, answering questions quickly and reassuring us that our day was going to be amazing. I cannot say enough kind things about them as people and photographers! y. P&M were totally on board for the adventure. It was raining the day of the ceremony and we called them to see if it would be possible to bump the ceremony time up an hour to avoid the heavy part. Again, they were on board and ready. Patrick and Michelle are an amazing couple to work with. They are kind, and patient, flexible and adaptable, they are professional and wildly creative. Michelle when we started looking for our own photographer and got immediate good vibes from the very first interaction. All the moments they captured are truly cherished and we are so happy we chose them. Our wedding was in a small space and very intimate (less than 40 people).
