We loved working with Derrick and Aly! Through the whole process, they were calm, fun, and easy to work with. They made us feel at ease and we LOVE our final gallery. It is so hard to choose which ones to print and include in our album! Everyone else that we have shared the pictures with loves them too!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Derrick and Aly. After our first meeting during our engagement session my husband and I both instantly felt a connection with Derrick and Aly. My husband and I got married in September, and we are so happy we picked Derrick and Aly to be our photographers. From the very first meeting, we could tell they would be fun to work with, and on the day of our engagement photos, they kept us laughing and smiling for some great pictures. The day of the wedding, they were very efficient with the bridal party photos, and made sure we got everything done in a timely fashion so that we could enjoy all of the reception. There knowledge of venues was excellent, it rained on the day of our wedding, and they got us to a dry location which ended up providing a background for some very impressive looking photos. Additionally, we saw the final product, and they provided very high quality shots that we will cherish forever. As a couple they are so much fun to work with, and obviously have great chemistry working together. During the wedding/reception, they captured everything perfectly, without ever really being noticed. We absolutely loved working with them, and they took all of the anxiety away from what can be uncomfortable for someone who has never had professional photos taken. We highly recommend them to everyone!

Aly and Derrick are the best! They are the sweetest people. My husband and I aren't big into PDA so I thought our "alone pics" would be awkward but Aly and Derrick made us feel so relaxed and captured beautiful pictures and all the moments that were most important to me. Absolutely perfect!!! We could not have made a better choice for our wedding. From the very beginning Derrick and Aly were there to help us every step of the way. Derrick and Aly were amazing! We had our original photographer fall through last minute and ended up booking Derrick and Aly with only a little less than 2 months before our wedding. They were reliable, accommodating, trustworthy and the nicest and easiest people to work with. They love what they do and they care about their clients and that is what truly matters in this business. They put their hearts into your day to make it special. They were also able to squeeze in an engagement picture session with us one month out and get us the proofs with enough time for us to have them printed to be displayed at the wedding. I honestly went into the wedding day feeling so confident in them. It took so much stress off of my plate because I had complete trust in them. They were also very organized, so they were a guide for us throughout the day. They did a great job of keeping us on schedule throughout the day. They were fun and great to work with! We are so blessed that they were able to be our photographers that day and we give them the highest recommendation.

I'm a little nervous writing this review, because I'm not sure anything I say can do them justice! Of all the decisions for the wedding, we are most proud of choosing Aly and Derrick as our photographers! My husband and I met with several people prior- when we finished our initial meeting with them and left, my husband and I immediately just looked at each other, smiled, and said "YUP. we. NEED. them!" Aly and Derrick are extremely thoughtful, precise, flexible, and organized. They did a wonderful job from the start. From our first meeting, all the way until after the wedding, I never had a SINGLE worry with them. They take the time to meet and go over every detail to make sure your day stays on track, smooth, and most importantly,enjoyable. Communication with them is extremely easy and my questions were always promptly answered. Our pictures were stunning, and I can't wait to work with them again in the future! If you are looking for the perfect photographers for your wedding, Derrick and Aly are it! They are extremely organized, thoughtful in planning the day (even help to pick the perfect setting for pictures if you are having trouble deciding), responsive to any questions, and professional. Our wedding was in early November and we wanted to have fall foliage in our pictures. By that point, mostly all the leaves were gone. Derrick and Aly went out of their way to check out some local parks the week of our wedding to make sure there were still leaves! Very much appreciated when so much other planning is going on. On top of that, they made are bridal party feel comfortable and were fun to hang out with taking the pictures. I have received endless comments on the quality as well. Aly and Derrick are the best and no words can express how each of them helped to make my rainy wedding day go smoother. Both of them go above and beyond and are really fun to work with. It was important to us that our photographers fit in with our crowd and be comfortable-there is nothing better than your vendors being a part of the experience all the while conducting professional services. When we met them we knew they were going to be able to provide memories for us in pictures. When we met Aly and Derrick, I knew that we had to have them as our photographers! I cannot say enough great things about them! We live out of state, so any kind of planning was a little difficult. Aly and Derrick were extremely flexible with scheduling our meetings, which made the planning process go so much more smoothly than anticipated! During our final meeting a few weeks before the wedding, Aly took at least 2 hours planning out what pictures would be taken, where they would be, and who would be in each one. She was extremely thorough! The day of our wedding couldn't have been more perfect! Aly and Derrick met us at my parents house to start pictures. They were both so kind and personable, that I forgot how nervous I was! After the ceremony, we had about 30 minutes to squeeze in as many photos as possible. Because of their planning and organization, getting all of the photographs in was easy! The rest of the day was seamless! Aly and Derrick were able to catch so many photos of us, the bridal party, and our family/friends. We cannot thank Any and Derrick enough for capturing our special day for us!

I cannot say enough fabulous things about Aly and Derrick Bash. We met with several other wedding photographers before meeting the Bash's, and we knew from the second we stepped into their Southside loft office that they were a perfect match for us. They're just about the happiest, most friendly people ever and instantly made us feel comfortable. Our engagement session was FREEZING, but Aly and Derrick had smiles the entire time and didn't stop until we got every shot we wanted...including running all over the North Shore with our 8 month old puppy. On our wedding day, both of them made me feel calm and beautiful and gently kept us on schedule the whole day. They captured every moment but were never intrusive and we could not be happier with our images! Aly is incredibly organized and made sure we had every shot on our list in addition to AMAZING shots with our bridal party and a ton of fun candids. We can't recommend Aly and Derrick highly enough!

From the very first time we met Aly and Derrick, we knew that we wanted them to be part of our wedding day because they made us feel so very comfortable, they did not pressure us into any particular package, and they were very flexible and friendly while remaining professional. Aly and Derrick came recommended by a family member who was using their services for her own wedding, and her results were fantastic as well. Aly and Derrick met with us multiple times to go over the day's plan of events and which pictures we wanted, and they even gave us very helpful suggestions for day-of planning in regards to the timing of the day's events. They nicely blended into the background at the church while capturing every moment of importance to us, they worked well with our videographer and other vendors, and they had our photos back to us in the time they said they would. We received 1800 photos, and I don't know how we will ever choose between them in order to print because every photo is flawless! I would use them again and again, even for future family photos, because their work does not end with weddings--they are so very talented in all areas of photography. If you are looking for the highest quality photos and a stress-free day, Studio Bash is the way to go!

After receiving the photos from our wedding day - my husband and I KNOW we could not have made a better decision. My wedding was very unusual because my husband & I are unusual. We had our ceremony in a planetarium, and we worried that the circumstances would put off photographers. Not so with Derrick & Alyson! As soon as we mentioned "planetarium," their eyes lit up, and they were so excited. That's exactly how I wanted my photographers to react! They immediately began dissecting how to best capture the ceremony, and even made a visit to the venue ahead of time to test equipment and lighting. I was worried that the low lighting conditions would produce poor quality photos, or that the necessary flashes would be distracting. But honestly, I didn't even notice they were there and the photos are GORGEOUS. They really captured the intimate, yet unique feeling we were going for. If you are looking for a team to make you feel like your best friends are photographing you, then look no further. There is no one that will make you feel as comfortable as these magicians.

We LOVED Studio Bash. They were simply awesome to work with, they were the first photographers we contacted after seeing their work in a friend's wedding a few years prior. When they were available for our wedding date, we did not hesitate to book them and could not have been happier with our experience! We are having difficulty choosing photos for our wedding album since we love them ALL and that is a good problem to have! Their images told the story of our wedding day and I get chills looking at them. Just a few reasons to say YES to Studio Bash: they are super organized (they took down everyone's first name so that they could call everyone by name to take pictures after the ceremony, family and friends) also you have a meeting with them a few weeks before your wedding where you give them a list of all the pictures you'd like taken at your wedding and they'll make sure to take it, they work very well with other venders and recommended our DJ to us, they are just really easy to get along with and we had fun getting to know them before they arrived to take pictures on our wedding day. Their professionalism, talent and friendliness can not be beat - HIGHLY recommend.

Derrick and Aly photographed our wedding/reception on very short notice. We got the name of their company from the list of "trusted vendors" courtesy of our venue and we were completely satisfied with their work, especially because they were so happy to accommodate us the week after they were on vacation! They were always friendly and professional, both with ourselves and our guests, and in email while we planned what we needed. Aly was very organized and made sure we had every detail covered (even stuff we didn't think of ourselves). The photos they gave us are beautiful. Would definitely hire them for a future event.

This is coming about a year late but we could not go without expressing our thanks for such a wonderful job Studio Bash did on our wedding day. First of all, they are the most personable individuals you will ever meet and Derrick hit it off with my husband right away (Star Wars nerddom!). They were very relaxed throughout the whole wedding day, gliding through every moment. They treated all of my family and bridal party so well and were helpful in making my tearful flower girls feel at ease. They brought my husband and I and the wedding party to a the park for pictures during such a key time in the day...the pictures turned out beautifully! It was so thoughtful of them to consider this. They captured the fun and excitement of our reception very well and seemed to have a fun time as well! As part of our package we received a photo book which we entrusted to them for the selection of pictures (it is SO hard to pick from so many pictures!!). They did a fabulous job selecting pictures of family and friends that mattered to us and selecting important highlights of the day. Thank you Studio Bash!!!

From the very moment we met Aly and Derrick, it was clear that their attention to detail, organization, personality, energy and most importantly, talent, was undeniably the best. First, they impressed us by their flexibility in working around our schedule to fit us in to meet with us (as I was traveling from out of town). In terms of being from out of town, Aly and Derrick kindly helped us on multiple occasions as a resource for recommended vendors in the area; their response time to any question, regardless of what it might be, was immediate. Second, they took extraordinary time out of their schedule to meet us at the ceremony venue to walk through the schedule and the day. Both had a great eye for predicting lighting, back up rain plans and awesome backgrounds for shots. Their attention to detail in planning meticulously for the day not only provided us stress relief in preparation, but helped everything flow smoothly that day. I should also note that even though I would like to say there were only 4 people in the wedding party, truth be told there were closer to 23 with two massive families on either side. Aly and Derrick could not have been more calm, cool and collected. They executed the shots we discussed with this massive group with ease. Most importantly, the end product from the day was just purely awesome. Aly and Derrick did a phenomenal job with lighting and composition. They captured the traditional shots and spontaneous moments of emotion. They were a pleasure to work with and have as a part of this special moment in our lives. Lastly, I should also note most of our shots were taken around a torrential downpour, but you wouldn't know it. Aly and Derrick actually shot with a lighting storm above their heads and a wall of rain moving in. I would not hesitate to recommend them to my dearest of friends and family. They are simply the best.

One of the most important decisions we made for our wedding was booking Derrick & Aly from Studio Bash! We were living out of state at the time I found their blog and knew I needed to meet them. We made a special trip to Pittsburgh to meet them and talk about their engagement and wedding packages. Within minutes of meeting them I knew we found the perfect photographers. Their personalities are awesome and you can definitely tell that they love what they do. We booked them as our wedding photographers right away and Aly was super helpful during the entire planning process. She was always professional and quick to respond to all of our phone calls and emails. We had so much fun on our engagement picture session and loved how the pictures turned out! We decided to use our engagement picture album for our wedding guest book and our guests loved it! Two weeks before our wedding we had a day of planning session, Derrick and Aly helped us create a list of family shots that would be taken at the church after our ceremony. This was extremely helpful on the day of since everyone was already prepared for the large family photos. Derrick and Aly fit right in with our bridal party and family, it felt like we had friends we had known our whole life photographing our wedding! They captured everything from our wedding day and turned them into memories that we will cherish forever. I would highly recommend them to anyone with an upcoming wedding. I searched many photographers for my wedding, and can say with certainty that Studio Bash- husband and wife duo Derrick and Aly Bash are Piitsburgh's finest. When I began my search, they initially stood out from the others because I was impressed with the crispness and focus of all of their pictures- especially the ceremony ones. After my first meeting with Aly- I was certain I would use them. Aly is as organized as she is friendly. Throughout my entire engagement, Aly and Derrick were available- they helped with providing timelines for the wedding day, suggesting other vendors, and answering any question I had. They arrived on my wedding day full of energy and creativity. My church had a tight timeframe for after- ceremony pictures- only 15 minutes- so I was nervous that not all family pictures would be taken. Studio Bash had a pre-wedding meeting with us- got all family members names and created a streamlined picture taking schedule. All family shots- including less mobile grandparents were taken! I was so happy with Studio Bash, that I recommended them for my sister's wedding! You cannot go wrong!

(She even helped me think through non-photo things like flowers, hair, and make-up, and offered vendor suggestions when I needed them!) And she did ALL of that before we ever took a single picture. Very early on, Aly became so much more than a vendor; she became a friend. (Okay sure, that sounds corny, but it doesn't make it any less true.) As for the photos...GORGEOUS! Both Derrick and Aly know exactly what to do and say to make you feel at ease and natural in front of the camera. And they have a way of capturing the emotion of the moment that just makes you smile when you look back at the pictures. When it came time to choose photos for our wedding album, we did have one dilemma...how do you choose when all of the photos are beautiful? For people who photograph weddings all the time, it is refreshing to see how excited they get by the possibility of beautiful and interesting photos. (Example: We did pre-wedding photos at Phipps Conservatory on our wedding day. And when you do photos at Phipps, you are subject to however they have it decorated. When we turned the corner into the sunken garden, Aly and Derrick's eyes lit up just as bright and excited as ours when they saw the Chinese lanterns and dragons that decorated the room. It was a dream surprise for all of us! The photos? Amazing, of course!) They like to have fun with pictures, but they never make you do anything unnatural or hokey (which often seems to happen in other engagement and wedding photos that you see). They are also very good about listening to what you want and finding a way to make it better than you had ever imagined. To sum it up- of all of the wedding decisions that we had to make, this one was by far the easiest. We were MORE THAN SATISFIED with the quality of our photos, the quality of service, and the quality of the people (Aly and Derrick) from Studio Bash!

Studio Bash did an absolutely outstanding job with our wedding and engagement photo session. Not only are Aly and Derrick very professional and fantastic photographers, but are also very personable and they made our experience fun and exciting! My wife and I were extremely pleased with the results of our sessions, and our friends and family members can not stop complimenting us on how nice the blog pictures have turned out. We felt so lucky to have such excellent and reliable photographers cover our special day. They were also helpful in assuring some great locations in which to take our photographs, especially on our wedding day. Choosing Studio Bash to be part of our wedding day was one of the best decisions we made. They made us feel at ease from the first meeting until the last picture! My husband and I got married in April and chose Studio Bash to capture our big day.....we are SO happy that we did! Derek and Aly were the best photographers. They had done engagement and wedding photos for 2 of my closest friends so I knew the quality of their work. What I didn't know was how lovely they would be to work with. My husband and I don't like to have our picture taken and they put us at ease. We ended up with great pictures for both engagement and wedding. They accommodated special requests - meeting at our house to take photos with our Harleys, taking bridal party photos before the wedding, taking lots of family photos, etc. They were inconspicuous during the ceremony and reception but got an amazing number of photos. Aly even helped us sequence the event when we struggled to know what would work. What a great pair of professionals.
