Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!! I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Can't recommend them enough!! They took our wedding vision and made it a reality (even better than we could have imagined!). We used Dan Meiners both for our flowers and as our venue for our reception - Pennway Place at Studio Dan Meiners. Everything was fantastic! The quality of the flowers was exceptional, and we received so many complements on them! Everyone we worked with was easy to work with and went above and beyond to make our experience fantastic. Will definitely use them for any future events!

From a venue perspective, we had the best experience! The building was able to accommodate our 200+ guest list with ease. There was enough space for a band (Lost Wax), a photo booth (Icon) and plenty of space for guests to mingle. The bar staff was wonderful and their menu selection was very diverse. Dan and his team absolutely nailed our ceremony and reception vision (floating candles from the ceiling, boho centerpieces and a gorgeous alter). However, we were very disappointed with our bouquets and flower crowns. The colors were different from what we originally discussed in our questionnaire, consultation and final contract (requested dark, moody jewel tones and received bright pinks and purples). The Queen Proteas in the bridal bouquet were delivered as completely closed and only opened ever so slightly after the ceremony and after the majority of pictures. There were a handful of flowers and greenery that were not only never discussed but also the wrong color palette compared to the images used in the consultation. The Ice White Proteas in the bridal party's bouquets never opened and were mocked as "fuzzy artichokes". It was strange to have such an incomplete floral order from a team that's so often referred to as the, "best in Kansas City". We did get to see a small reception centerpiece (very small, do not expect to see all centerpieces) preview a month ahead of time - but there was no preview of the bouquets or crowns. Had we had a chance to see the bouquets and crowns with the rest of the preview arrangement, we could have addressed these mistakes and had the right florals for our wedding day. These concerns have been addressed with Megan, Dan and their design team prior to this review. After 4 business days, Megan replied and said she was, "sorry to hear you did not love your bouquets and crowns" and advised, "this is something that rarely happens". While she did offer a $200 credit towards a future floral order from them, the response was, like the bouquets and crowns, disappointing. There was no acknowledgement or ownership in their mistake. While this did not keep us from getting married, it was an awful lot of money on the wrong bouquets and crowns.

We ordered personal flowers from Studio Dan Meiners for our wedding. While pricey, the flowers were magnificent. We got so many compliments on the amazing bouquets. They incorporated our preferences for colors and flower types, but they definitely did the heavy lifting in creating unique and creative arrangements. Also, they were accommodating in adjusting our order, which was great. Overall, Studio Dan Meiners was great to work with!

The amount of compliments I received from our guests about the flowers alone was UNBELIEVABLE. Dan and his team were extraordinary to work with and helped make my dream wedding a reality. They were very understanding, communicative, and professional which made working with the team a very memorable experience. I truly cannot thank Dan Meiners enough for the beautiful ceremony and reception decor that we will treasure forever. Thank you!

I'm very delayed in getting this review out - but Studio Dan Meiners transformed our wedding space in 2014. To this day friends and family still comment on the beautiful hanging branches and flowers over our ceremony space. The reception had gorgeous unique glassware and they elegantly incorporated orange flowers and greenery and candles to every space. The experience was wonderful from start to finish. When we first met with Dan I feel like he took our vision and ran with it. The florists that set up the space for us were so kind and talented. The lead guy held my hand while I teared up and told me to enjoy my day. We would (and have) recommend Studio Dan Meiners 100 times over! You won't regret a penny spent and our photos are gorgeous!

I fell in love with Dan Meiners' work when researching florists online for our wedding. They had that modern, exquisite, wow factor that I was going for. We had a modern imperial theme with plum, silver, and black as our wedding colors, and when I met with Dan for my first consult I truly felt that he understood my vision. I showed him examples of the dominant flowers I was considering and layouts of centerpieces and bouquets. He had some excellent suggestions for aisle decor and the altar that I wouldn't have even thought of. We even ended up making some last minute changes to the table cloths, but they were able to accommodate everything! Once the big day arrived, Dan Meiners staff brought the most beautiful floral arrangements I've ever seen! Truly, they exceeded my expectations. The ceremony and reception were decorated so perfectly - they really brought my vision to life, and then some! All our family and guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the flowers and decor were. Even my extremely picky, hard-to-please mother was absolutely speechless with the quality of the decor and floral. My bridal bouquet was by far the most stunning floral arrangement I've ever seen. The colors were spot on and floral choices went so well together. They are true artists at Dan Meiners. Choose Studio Dan Meiners as your wedding florist - you won't regret it. They have set the standard for wedding floral and are the best in Kansas City! THANK YOU!

I fell in love with Dan Meiners work on social media and the several weddings and other studio events I’ve attended over the years. This was the only florist I contacted so I can’t comment on price—I didn’t even bother to compare. On the day of my wedding the flowers arrived and they were far from what I ordered (they were purple, I wanted ivory) and, perhaps most surprising, they really lacked the innovative style that Dan Meiners is known for. I do want to note, the bouquet did have the magnolia leaves and one of the specific flowers I requested. Of course the mens flowers were delivered elsewhere (they were also purple) and were wilting so bad they fell apart before the dinner was over. A couple days after the wedding, I emailed my contact at the florist and shared my disappointment. I didn’t get a response for several days so I emailed someone else and did get a note back, apologizing for the miscommunication regarding the colors for my flowers. They offered to refund my money or send me new flowers. The refund check arrived the same day as my wedding pictures —bless my photographer for taking pictures of the bouquet that I hated. I wish I would have had the presence of mind to tell her to ignore it and use her time on something I actually wanted to remember from that day.....because I definitely just want to forget the flowers. Sure, maybe I’ll laugh about this all someday. I’ll be sure to update my review when that happens.

Studio Dan Meiners was able to fill a last-minute need and knocked it out of the park! They were wonderful to work with and my bouquet was stunning. Exactly what I wanted! The fact that they were able to do it on such short notice really impressed me. Excellent work; would highly recommend.

There are no truly accurate words to describe how amazing and creative Dan and his team are. From the beginning we knew we wanted to use Dan Meiners. His vision wowed me and the trial showing of his flowers gave me comfort in knowing that my wedding was going to be flawless. We choose a wedding venue that was virtually a blank slate and Dan transformed it into my fairy tale. The did not just do the flowers. It was an entire design element that turned out more beautifully than I could have imagined. We had an afternoon ceremony and the flowers lasted days past that afternoon. I was also told that during the setup process, Dan himself came to the venue to make sure his vision was being properly executed. You get everything you pay for at Studio Dan Meiners. Who knew I was going to be so excited about flowers!? Choose Dan, I promise you will be awed.

Dan is one of a kind and was amazing to work with! We showed up to our consultation with several ideas that needed to be merged into a coherent vision, and Dan (easily!) did just that. We gave him creative freedom and were not disappointed. He was able to make our winter wedding feel wintery, but not "Christmas-y." His ideas, guidance and suggestions were classy and elegant, but at the same time fresh and gorgeous! At the beginning he asked for our budget, and was respectful of it throughout the whole process, disclosing things that would move us out of our comfort zone. We were invited to see a preview of our table centerpieces, which served to reduce my anxiety. Also, being able to rent just about everything from the Studio was so convenient and provided options that I hadn't seen anywhere else. If you can stretch your budget, I recommend working with Dan and his team. They create absolutely beautiful things!

Dan and his team are all so friendly and talented. He was very nice to work with as wedding planning can be stressful; they made it easy by offering suggestions and giving us many options that worked with our budget. I had a vision of how I wanted my wedding to look, and he helped make it come to life. All of our guests commented how beautiful the flower arrangements were and are still talking about them! We originally heard Dan was the best for flowers, but ended up also renting linens, flower girl baskets, ringer bearer pillow, card box, table place card holders, and much more from them! Everything turned out beautifully.

I will forever sing the praises of Joshua at Studio Dan Meiners. We commissioned him to make our wedding bouquets and boutonnieres for our fall wedding. Studio Dan Meiners is traditionally known for having a very contemporary style. My wedding, on the other hand, was an outdoor wedding with a more whimsical style. We sat down with Joshua with pictures of our style, a list of flowers/greenery we loved, colors, etc. And you would not believe how well he delivered. I was OVER THE MOON with glee when I saw the flowers. Besides marrying my best friend, and being with all my friends and family, the FLOWERS were one of my favorite parts of the wedding. I could not stop staring at them. I am a horticulturist, so the flowers were very important to me. I did the rest of the flowers myself, but I am so happy I had Joshua do our bouquets and boutonnieres. You will not regret it.

I have previously worked in the event-planning industry in Kansas City, and we had used Studio Dan Meiners for a number of client events. Three years ago, I worked with Rory on a client event and vowed that I would use Studio Dan Meiners for my wedding because I was so impressed with the work they did. Well, I stuck to my promise and could not be happier with the end result! Dan Meiners is truly the top florist in Kansas City. He is inventive, creative, contemporary, and will create floral works and event design like you have never seen before. When I initially met with Dan, his presence is absolutely contagious. He had wonderful ideas, understood my vision, and wanted me to absolutely love my flowers. Our wedding ceremony was in the lobby of our reception venue, and I was concerned about it feeling like a true ceremony space. Dan and his team took that concern and delivered the dreamiest, most picturesque ceremony space that I could have imagined. It was absolutely breathtaking. Our reception space felt lush, beautiful, and full. The floral arrangement for myself and our wedding party were contemporary, unique, and fit in perfectly with the aesthetic of our wedding. I can’t even begin to say enough amazing things about Dan and his staff. He did all of our flowers for our wedding and they were beyond perfect! Dan is incredible. He is an extremely talented visionary and his creativity is unique. Besides, that he is a joy to work with. From the first time we met with him, he was professional and came up with so many beautiful ideas for our weddings arrangements. He listened to us so well and came up with flowers and decorations that I never would’ve dreamed of. He truly took what we said and created a masterpiece out of our style and ideas. When I went to our final showing before the wedding, there were a few things I wanted him to tweak and he did it immediately with no complaining. He really puts his customers first and wants you to love everything that he does. In addition, he really listened to our budget and actually respected it unlike some other florists we met with. He got creative and reused flowers in different places at our ceremony and reception to save us money. I was beyond impressed with the way he handles himself and runs his business. In regards to the flowers and decorations at our wedding, they were stunning! He used all of my favorite flowers and mixed them with ones I never would’ve thought of like cherry blossoms. They were beautiful!! In addition, they took care of set up and tear down and made everything look perfect. On top of everything, all of the staff at Dan Meiners Studio were kind and responsiveness. I talked with a few different people throughout my planning process and everyone was awesome to work with. I highly recommend working with Dan Meiners Studios for your wedding or event!

After selecting Pennway Place as our wedding venue, we were delighted to work with Dan and his team at Studio Dan Meiners on our floral/decor for the wedding. As the top florist in KC, we did not know how our budget would fare, but were absolutely thrilled with the final product. During our personal meeting with Dan, we were able to collaborate on a design plan using my Pinterest boards and some inspiration drawn from various Boulevard beer bottles collected over the years. Dan beautifully integrated our bottles as vases and created a focal point for our centerpieces. On wedding day, I could not believe the quality of the flowers used...they were some of the most fabulous dahlias I'd ever seen. Some guests even asked if they could take the flowers home! Overall, working with Dan and team was a great experience. It is absolutely incredible what they can create, all while staying within an agreed upon budget. Thank you all for such a memorable event!

I cannot speak highly enough about the floral and artistic talent AND superior customer service at Studio Dan Meiners!! If there was an option to rate over 5 stars I would 100x over, truly! I am a quite the flower lover, and had high hopes for having unique and stunning floral arrangements at my recent wedding. Studio Dan Meiner's took my desires and ran with it! When meeting with Dan, he listened to what I wanted and preferred, and help me come up with the flowers and arrangements that were beyond what I could have imagined. Dan and his team's artistic abilities are unmatched, they take floral arrangements to a whole new level of gorgeous art. I am not just saying this because it was my wedding, the flowers and the arrangements were without a doubt the most beautiful wedding flowers I had ever seen. Not only did they create the bouquet of my dreams (actually it was far better than my dreams), but also they helped create simply stunning table centerpieces, bridal party bouquets/boutonnieres, AND a beautiful back drop for the altar. My experience at Studio Dan Meiner's was so great that it made me question my career as a nurse and want to go work for them instead! ;) No doubt that Studio Dan Meiner's is the best in the business. Their creativity is inspiring and their customer service is fantastic. My husband and I could not have been any more pleased with our experience with Studio Dan Meiner's.

When I first got engaged and started planning my wedding, the flowers were the least important detail to me. I even though about fake flowers. But then my mom found Dan Meiners. She worked with him and his team directly on a budget and our wants — and I just gave her my Pinterest board because I lived out of town. When I came in to see a sample arrangement, it was PERFECT. Exactly what I wanted, but even better. Dan and his team have such great vision and really do much more than flowers — they are more like wedding STYLISTS, thinking about how everything in your wedding will work together and making it better. We had a fall wedding and Dan wanted to incorporate some leaves and sticks on the guest book table. The day of our wedding, he got up before sunrise to find the perfect ones for our wedding. That's dedication. I can't say enough about Dan and his team and I can't tell you just how amazing their work is. I would absolutely use them again for any of my event needs. Indian weddings can be pretty elaborate, so when searching for someone who could provide the quality of work we desired, as well as the service and creative ideas, I knew there was only one place to go. Dan Meiners was a dream to work with! I wasn't very picky with my wedding and reception decor. I didn't quite know what colors I wanted, but I knew the feelings that I wanted my guests to have as they entered the ballroom, which is what I described to Dan. When I saw the wedding and reception decor the day of the wedding, my jaw dropped (literally). It was absolutely stunning, so detailed and beautiful and I fell in love with everything right away! Truthfully, after signing our contract with Dan, I never worried about decor. I worried about many other things with the wedding, but never decor and that was simply because I knew that no matter what, Dan was going to do a fabulous job with it. And I was right!

When it comes to service there is no question about it, Dan Meiners is the place to go! I went to 3 other reputable florists before deciding on Dan and none of them were as detail oriented or as responsive. Dan is brilliant when it comes to the planning! However, I was very disappointed when I arrived at the church the day of my wedding to find all of our bouquets wilted and drooping. They didn't make it through the night which was disappointing since I wanted to be able to preserve mine. Then when I arrived at the reception, although my centerpieces were beautiful I had requested that they have some marsala colored flowers in them and there weren't any which was also disappointing.

We were pleased with most of our vendors, but I couldn't stop raving about how perfect the flowers were. Dan Meiners NAILED the look we were going for and was respectful of our budget! The bouquet was perfect, and the table top design was simple but complementary. I'll be sharing photos with the studio so they can brag on how great they turned out! Plus, importantly: the team at SDM was great to work with. Timely quote, question-free execution. I was grateful this was so well handled during a very busy day.

We came to Dan wanting a modern and sophisticated wedding. He delivered on all fronts and went above and beyond with creative solutions. He was the florist, lighting advisor, provided furniture and even designed a custom backdrop for our ceremony to create the entire atmosphere. I knew we wouldn't have to worry about anything. I had the pleasure of working with Studio Dan Meiners for my wedding in Kansas City. Prior to meeting meeting with Dan in person, his assistant asked me to answer an in depth questionnaire about myself and my future husband, as well as links to my Pinterest board. I was so impressed that when I showed up, Dan had my "pinned" bouquet printed out, along with the color swatch that I wanted to use. He was already aware of my budget from the questionnaire, so he was able to recommend flowers and arrangements that fell into my price range. I was so comfortable talking with Dan, that he felt like he was an old friend. I knew that he understood my vision and I was excited to get my quote. Once I received the quote, I was able to see exactly what I could afford and what I could do without. I splurged on the bride's bouquet and the ceremony flowers, which I am so glad I did! Dan and his team really nailed it. The bouquet was exactly like the one pictured on Pinterest and the ceremony flowers were actually branches from a manzanita tree with tealight candle votives strung from them. They looked super romantic and photographed well, too! Plus I was able to use them for the reception also, since we had it in the same place. The bridesmaid's bouquets were all great, as well as the groom's/men's boutonnieres. They were simple, yet classy - single succulents with olive leaves. The team delivered the flowers right in time for pictures and the ceremony and they stood up well to the harsh KC weather that day. Overall, I trust Studio Dan Meiners, which says a lot. I highly recommend their work and artistic ability, plus their professionalism is on a whole other level. Hire them for your next floral service, and you will see why!

When I met with Dan Meiner, he understood and got my vision immediately. I don't know anything about flowers but I knew I was in good hands with him. They day of, he truly transformed by wedding and reception venue. His little touches and ideas are amazing. I could not imagine having any other person be part of my big day in regards to flowers and décor. Simply Perfect!

I planned my wedding long distance. My philosophy was to hire the best people I could find, and let them do their work. I had a phone conference with Dan Meiner and discussed venue, colors and over all feel. He came up with great ideas. We agreed on the scope of the project and then I just let him do his thing. The results were magical. He and his team coordinated with the venue and did a beautiful job. Their designs were just what I wanted. The bouquet and boutonnières just stunning. It was so much fun to see it all come together so beautifully.

Dan is a creative genius. He perfectly captured the theme and feel of our wedding. The flowers and event design really brought out the best of our ceremony and reception venue. The way it all came together was absolutely stunning. Dan and his team were wonderful to work with and made great suggestions. We couldn't have been happier.

The floral for the wedding day was breath-taking! Our bouquets were more than I could have asked for and the reception decoration was the perfect combination of elegant and simple, just what I had requested. I very much appreciated the sample viewing to get confirmation that we had the same idea and a sneak peak on what to expect as a final product.
