We booked Ela and Jason for both our engagement photos and wedding ceremony/reception and we couldn’t have been more happy. They were so attentive to our vision of our wedding and ...
they captured the precious moments beautifully. We love how they balance taking posed shots as well as candid photography. The final edits of our wedding photos were so beautifully done, and we’re still scrolling through them in awe days after we initially received them. Could not recommend better wedding photographers than these two.
Ella and Jason were delightful to work with for both our engagement photos and our wedding day! They were extremely professional and put us at ease whenever they were taking photos...
. We were very happy with the results and highly recommend them for anyone looking for the best photographers for their big day!
I cannot rave about Studio Finch enough! We used them for our engagement photos, our mini-ceremony in October 2020 when our original date was postponed due to COVID, and then again...
for our rescheduled wedding in October 2021. Ela and Jason were so easy to work with and were super helpful when we had to reschedule. They are very knowledgeable about the best spots around the city for photos and were very quick with their communication when planning the photo times. I normally hate getting my picture taken, but they made me feel relaxed and all of the photos we've received have been such great quality.
We really appreciated the attention to detail at our larger wedding. They managed to get all of the photos we requested and even made sure to get a photo with some family members that had to arrive later. They also made sure to capture the little details that made our wedding special to us, like the special beers we ordered from our friends' brewery and the signature cocktail sign with photos of our pets. We were surprised to receive a personalized linen box with our USB drive full of photos and a few complimentary prints once they were done editing and we thought that was really thoughtful and such a nice personalized touch. We can't wait to work with them to create our wedding album.
Don't hesitate to hire Jason and Ela - you won't regret it and your pictures will turn out amazing!
We booked Studio Finch for our wedding in Oct 2021, and they were easily one of our favorite vendors! Ela and Jason worked diligently to make sure our special day was captured perf...
ectly. Even with a major hiccup with the bus company, Ela and Jason were able to deliver over 1900 photos of our wedding day.
Their professionalism, passion, and skills made our day. They were not afraid to get the difficult shots and went so far out of their way to make sure they didn’t miss a beat. The photos turned out beautifully and exactly what we wanted. We cannot say enough positive things about Studio Finch and would 1000% recommend them!
Studio Finch shot my sister's wedding 7 years ago and have basically photographed every major family moment since, so it was a no brainer for us to hire them to come down for our A...
ustin wedding. Jason and Ela make the whole process so easy and fun, even for people who aren't 100% comfortable in front of the camera. They are incredibly efficient and were so helpful in keeping us on schedule throughout our wedding weekend. We will continue to work with Studio Finch for future family events for years to come!
Studio Finch photographed our wedding in September and let me say they did an AMAZING job. Ela and Jason are the sweetest photographers that really captured all of our good sides. ...
They ended up doing two engagement sessions for us (no additional cost!) because the weather was awful during our first one but we really wanted photos for our save the dates. All of our engagement photos came out so well we had trouble picking some for our save the dates! Our wedding photos are just wonderful - they really helped make us look like movie stars and captured everyone's emotions. They also did a good job of capturing candid photos of our guests which we loved because we can use those as memories. We got all of our photos back pretty quickly (~1 month) and we got about 1600 photos - which is a lot. A lot of our family members haven't even gone through them because there are so many! They also did our photobooth which everyone loved because they were able to get high quality downloadable photos to print or use on social media! I cannot recommend them enough - they made our photo taking experience a lot of fun and no pressure and we cannot thank them enough for capturing AMAZING moments for our special day. Their cost is mid-range for Chicago but I think they are worth every penny and more!
Our pictures from Studio Finch are incredible. . Ela and Jason are a husband and wife team and they could not be more artistic, creative, kind, and professional . We thought their ...
prices were extremely worthwhile for the quality photography we received in return. Both on our wedding day, as well as for our engagement shoot, they made the photo taking process seamless and incredibly enjoyable too! More than photographers, they are just great people to help you through your big day!
They use a photo-journalistic style, and really make it work for whatever it is you want with your photos. They will cooperate very well with whatever you want to do.

ur special day. They are very thorough and answered all of our questions with ease. They also offered a photo booth, which helped alleviate the hassle of hiring a separate vendor for photo booth services! We had a second meeting prior to the wedding and came up with a clear list of pre-wedding photos, family shot lists, and photography timeline, so there was no need to worry about the flow come the wedding. The day of, Ela came to the home where the girls were staying to start pre-wedding photos, and Jason went on our apartment to take pre-wedding photos of the guys. Having two photographers at the wedding was a huge plus, as I’m sure they were able to capture more moments than we could have hoped for. Not only were they professional and great to work with, they were also great company. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone, and plan to refer them to any family/friends in the future.
So what you need to know about me is that I am the stereotypical type-A personality and had very high demands on my wedding vendors to be organized, professional, great at what the...
y do, and basically stop me from worrying even one bit on my wedding day. And those things perfectly described Ela & Jason.
First, the photos came out beyond my wildest dreams. They got all the shots I wanted and then some. And note my wedding was in March and it was on and off raining that day!
Ela & Jason are just top notch. After our first meeting I knew they had everything under control. So much so that I didn't even worry about the wedding day rain because I knew they had backup plans upon backup plans and strategies to get us to our outdoor shots without ruining my hair / makeup.
From a planning perspective, we met with them twice in person (and had healthy email communication). They will come up with location suggestions based on what type of photos we were looking for. They will mapped a route (and directed our trolley driver!). They are super organized but still flexible. And they catch both the staged (but somehow not awkward) poses and the candids perfectly.
Highly recommend them!
Haven't gotten our wedding pictures yet but our engagement pics were EXACTLY what we wanted so I can't imagine our wedding photos being anything less than perfect. Jason and Ela re...
ally made an effort to get every shot that was important to us. If any are missing - it's my own fault! I was too excited to hold still :)
Jason and Ela make a fantastic team and I couldn't imagine hiring anyone else for our big day!

ry hard to get to know you and capture everything you want on the wedding day. They're so skilled at directing traffic through the chaos, we got lots of compliments from family and our wedding party. The packages are not cheap but include an engagement shoot and you get digital copies of all the photos and free printing rights for the couple. Their turnaround time is relatively quick compared to the competition. Most of all, they're fun, interesting people who are the best at what they do, so if you like their style while clicking through galleries go ahead and book 'em quick!
Ela and Jason are a joy to work with! They are superb at what they do and the sweetest married couple you'll meet. They maintained such a relaxed and sweet attitude throughout the ...
whole wedding. They are extremely organized. Truly the perfect photographer couple to be with on your wedding day! We received compliment and after compliment from family and friends at our wedding about Ela and Jason.

ound their pricing super easy to follow. We just loved how beautiful our pictures turned out and could not be more pleased in how they captured our wedding, you see we didn't want tons of posed shots, photo journalist styling to the day - it was perfect and the captured the couple posed shots our moms wanted too, without fuss.
Our pictures from Studio Finch are amazing. Everyone says so. Ela and Jason are a husband and wife team with a knack for making your big day look like a fairy tale. I thought their...
prices were very reasonable for the quality of product that you get back, and they have great add-ons like a photobooth or hard-bound photo book.
They take pics in the photo-journalistic style, and started our engagement session off with the traditional hugging and kissing shots. My advice is that if you want to do things for your pics that stray from the traditional (like jumping off a dune), just tell them. They were great with us with taking direction, and we know we'll get exactly the pics we want!
We kind of stumbled upon Jason and Ela about a year ago, which was about a year or so after they had started doing the wedding pictures. My then-fiancée showed me three sets of pic...
tures from three different photographers — including Studio Finch — and it was a no-brainer to me: their stuff was clearly the best.
It's not your typical wedding photography; it's more artistic, and they tend to gravitate more towards the hipster, artsy, crafty weddings. That said, I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking two hardworking, talented and likeable photographers who seek to know their clients and the wedding look they are trying to achieve.
Jason and Ela were a pleasure to work with, and I can give them nothing but my highest recommendation. The early photos we have received have left us and our family and friends in awe — no joke.
