Studio One Hair Design

it turned out exactly as I had hoped (possibly even better?!), I felt so beautiful and it lasted all day/night, despite it being an outdoor summer wedding, with a smidge of rain at one point, and me being a bit of a sweaty gal and dancing the night away ;-) I am so glad I trusted her with this big day, and I cannot recommend Amanda enough!

it a calm atmosphere. We all loved our hair and makeup and it kept up with us through probably the hottest wedding you could imagine during a heat storm. I would absolutely suggest them for your wedding!

s moving away, made it impossible to do a trial. Despite all the complications, i was very happy with the work of Kristen (hair) and Larissa (make-up) that Amanda booked for our wedding. Both ladies were professional, friendly, and clearly experienced in wedding hair+make-up. We were all very happy with their work!

a great personality, and does a phenomenal job on make up. I highly recommend her!

up and Kristen for hair! They were both super nice, accommodating, and professional! They both did beautiful work! My girls raved about them too! ❤️

me and all 9 women in our bridal party. From the first time I met Kristen and Gerry at my trial I knew I was going to be in good hands. I was very nervous to get my hair and makeup done since I normally don't wear much make up and getting my hair done always makes me nervous. But they both took so much time listening to what I wanted, perfecting the look they envisioned, making me feel comfortable and making me feel beautiful. I was so happy with my trial and didn't think it could be possible to be even more happy on my wedding day but I was. The hair and makeup for our whole bridal party looked absolutely incredible. Everyone looked natural and their hair looked incredible, and despite the many tears our makeup stayed on forever and our hair never fell out of place. We also had so much fun getting ready there. Katie who had organized the morning for us and was outstanding to work with, had prepared fruit cups for us, croissants, coffee, tea and had glasses ready so we could have mimosas. They also let us play the music of our choosing and were just so incredibly kind throughout the day. I can't say enough wonderful things about Studio One and I was so thankful that we could get ready there. They are really an amazing group of stylists and excellent business. If you have the opportunity, book Studio One for your hair and makeup needs for your wedding or any event. You will feel beautiful, relaxed and have so much fun with working these women!

ervous at first to pick a place to do my hair and makeup since I was so used to doing my makeup myself and getting my hair done at a salon closer to home. However, Studio One did not disappoint! I was blown away by how great all of us looked! Everyone kept commenting that I looked like a fairytale princess with my hair in a side braid and my makeup and big eyelashes! I couldn't have felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. Even though the weather was rainy, my airbrushed makeup didn't smudge and my hair stayed in place throughout the crazy humidity and dancing. I am so glad I went with Studio One for my bridal party's hair and makeup - it was one of the best decisions I could have made!

checking in. The communication was great and the result was beautiful (I wanted a messy, textured braided updo). Highly recommended.

th her was her humor! She made me feel right at home and completely comfortable. At the trial, she was receptive to all of my suggestions, and offered some back as well. The day of she came to my hotel and was super wonderful even after I was 1/2 hour late! My hair was gorgeous and everyone loved it. Plus it didnt move all night! Same for my makeup. I got airbrushing and It was still on when I woke up the next morning! I looked absolutely beautiful thanks to Kate and Studio One!

wed us to have control of the music playing. My girls and I left absolutely stunning and our looks lasted through an entire day of humidity, rain, and dancing!

result, once our wedding day approached, I had completely changed my mind about everything: I did't want waves anymore, I now wanted an updo, and I wanted for my make-up to look more natural. How many times in your life you manage to get EXACTLY what you wanted? Well, it happened to me on my wedding day! My updo was exactly how I wanted it to be and my makeup was even better than what I had hoped.Literally over the moon with the outcome! For the records: Kristen did my hair and Sarah did my makeup. Three of my bridesmaids needed to have their hair done and all four of them had their makeup done. Our appointment was at 8:00am and we were out of there by 10:00am, just as planned! My bridal party was very pleased as well with the result. Everybody at the salon was super-nice and welcoming and they even had pastries and fruit, together with coffee and tea, ready for us! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

ked amazing, and my updo looked completely natural. Even when my bridesmaids weren’t sure how to have their hair done, she styled their hair in ways that matched their personalities perfectly. Hannah during my makeup trial went through multiple types of makeup with me, to ensure I got the perfect natural look. A huge thank you to Amanda and Hannah for making me look amazing for my wedding day!

and professional. I had a total of 8 girls, including myself, getting hair and make up done and the salon was able to provide 2 makeup artists and 2 people for hair. They came on time and even finished early. My hair and make up looked wonderful, however I have A LOT of hair so it didn’t hold up for too long. It was also a very windy day so it was understandable. my bridesmaids had to keep adjusting and adding more bobby pins to my hair as the night went on. But honestly after the ceremony and pictures I didn’t care to much. I would still recommend studio one for any services you may need.

e of makeup down and took tons of photos so there were no surprises day of. On the morning of my wedding they set up a little breakfast spread along with juice and water for the girls. We were done early which was great since my Grandma last minute decided to get her makeup done and we didn't have that scheduled. I would recommend them to anyone getting married in the area.

hey worked quickly without making any of us feel rushed. We finished in plenty of time and everyone looked amazing. Most importantly, I was very indecisive about my look . I had two trials and in the end, did my hair completely different from my trials and Amanda had NO problem whatsoever executing my new look. Same with Gerry--we changed my makeup slightly on the day of and at no time were either of these gals nervous or rushed. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

ease and on schedule. Most importantly everyone looked amazing!! They are so sweet and talented I don't know why anyone would choose anyone else for their special day. I still recieve complements on how beautiful my hair and makeup looked. Amanda was the stylist who did my hair. She did the most amazing job, not only making it look beautiful but also understanding what I wanted. I wasn't sure of what I wanted when I went in for my trial, and Amanda took the time to sit and talk about what I wanted and then played with my hair and offered amazing ideas based on the little idea I had for my hair. Kristin was the other hair stylist who worked on bridesmaids hair and she did an amazing job. Every girl wanted something different and she made everyone happy. She also helped my little flower girl attach her tricky flower crown for free and it stayed the whole night she was just so sweet and thoughtful. Sarah and Hannah did makeup and I swear every girl looked FLAWLESS! Couldn't have been happier with studio one!!

to get to a hair design that was acceptable, which was expensive since I was from out of town.

there. I don’t usually wear makeup so was worried my makeup would look overdone, but Gerry kept in natural and beautiful. Amanda did my hair and it was beautiful and exactly how I wanted it. Thank you, Studio One!

creativity. Despite my wedding taking place on July 30th, outside, on top of a mountain and, incidentally, in the pouring rain, my hair withstood the elements for hours on end. Miraculously, Studio One managed to achieve a natural, unkempt look that was beautiful and long-lasting. I'm amazed at the longevity of the hairstyle, which in no way looked loaded with product. Studio One provided makeup services as well. I looked as natural and light as I'd asked to look. The staff was personable, funny, and so easy to talk to. They made me feel relaxed and truly special. I am grateful that I chose Studio One for my wedding and would recommend them to anyone.

her! Amanda and her team are amazing, and they do a wonderful job listening to everything you want. I am personally not a nitpicky person, so I forwent the trial because Amanda was confident she could do it. That is how much I trust her skills as a hairdresser. Not only was my hair perfect, but also my makeup was flawless. I have never gotten airbrushed before and was slightly nervous. However, Gerry knew exactly what I wanted even before I did! Kristen did my sisters hair and copied the hairstyles they chose to a T. Overall, everyone is professional and go above and beyond to make sure your day is everything you imagined. I highly recommend Studio One!!

astic-she took my vision of what I wanted my hair to look like and made it beyond my expectations. She was so easy to work with and was amazing! Jerry did mine, and my entire bridal party's make up. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave suggestions along the way. EVERYONE, including myself, was beyond excited with how their make up came out-and that's no easy task! Overall, I could not have asked for a better hair/make up experience for my wedding!

relaxed. I had a trial the month before and tried two different hairstyles and some make-up looks. My Mom also had her hair and make-up done the day of. Kristin applied my hair extensions and half-up style perfectly, and Sarah came up with the perfect lipstick color, which I still use on nights out. My wedding was on a Sunday so they came to us and helped me and my Mom get ready. The hair and make-up lasted throughout the afternoon/evening, with only lipstick touch-ups. Thank you!

, "Oh, we're going to go really natural with you," which was exactly what I was going for. She seemed to know what I wanted before I even told her, and the result looked great. The day of, she was equally amazing. I was really nervous about the wedding, and she was really supportive and kept bringing me water and tea when I asked. Amanda did my hair, which turned out amazing! She listened to what I wanted and produced an incredible, wavy waterfall braid for me. The salon manager noticed how quiet and nervous I was, and she brought me a glass of champagne to calm me nerves. Also, it poured rain during my wedding (which was outside), but my hair and makeup still looked great at the end of the night! All around, an excellent experience!

ck, pleasant and did a beautiful job. We were really pleased with the results and can't thank them enough for all they did on such short notice!

did a great job! She was so intent on making sure that I was thrilled, she tried a few different styles with me, even though I assured her that I was already happy with the first one! She and Amanda came to do our hair on site the day of the wedding and the studio was very flexible in accommodating our schedule changes even the very same week. Everyone who got their hair done was thrilled!

orked with me patiently to find exactly what I was looking for. Day of the wedding, Amanda came too to help out with my bridesmaids’ hair. We had a great time getting ready! The experience was rather dream-like and I have never felt so beautiful! A word on cost; when I started looking for hair and makeup services in the Hudson Valley, I was shocked and horrified by the pricing. Studio One’s prices are comparable to the rest, and not at all the most expensive. When my sister got married, the women doing our hair as bridesmaids did all four bridesmaids in an hour and charged $80 each. I was terrified that this was going to happen to my bridesmaids. It did not! Kristin, Amanda, Sarah and I imagine everyone else who works at Studio One are true professionals. They took their time, did detailed work, and more than satisfied everyone. If you’re not sure now about spending the money, you will not regret it when you see your wedding pictures!

have on such a big emotional day! Kristen and Amanda both provided classic, elegant and beautiful hairstyles to my bridesmaids, my mom and of course me, the bride! Everyone’s hair looked incredible! On my wedding day I felt the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life and that is all thanks to Kristen and her amazing work! Kristen truly is great at what she does. When it comes to my hair, I am very simple, not very daring. I knew that for my wedding I wanted body and volume, something I am not used to. Kristen took my vision and made it come to life and it truly was precisely what I asked for. Everyone’s hair looked incredible all night long! All of us ladies also get our makeup done by Maura. She did a fantastic job too! Everyone’s makeup looked perfect! I am so glad I was able to work with Kristen, Amanda and Maura. They truly are the best stylist around! I would highly recommend them to anyone! Thank you!!

k me everything from blurting out "it looks horrible!" It was garish, gaudy, heavy, and unflattering. It did not look like anything like the picture I showed, took longer than it was supposed to, and I had to take all of it off before my ceremony and do my own makeup. To top it off, the services were expensive so I was extremely disappointed. Would only recommend this place for hair.

nks to my makeup Artist, and all the stylist for all they did!My hair looked AMAZING! and best of all i felt amazing! All my Bridesmaids were so happy and loved everything! I cant thank them enough for all they did for us!

to do everything in their power to make myself, my girls and my mom look perfect for the day. My hair and makeup lasted all day and looked gorgeous. Love this place!

my sister and my mom get prepped right in my room. They were extremely professional, pleasant to work with and made us all look amazing. I would highly recommend using Studio One for your big day, and have them come to you. It makes an already hectic day a lot less stressful :)

ight place, and I was not disappointed. The stylists at Studio One are true professionals who did a fabulous job on my hair, and on the hair of the women in my bridal party. Everyone was extremely pleased and felt beautiful!

would show, and the work she did was fantastic. I love to dance and was on the dance floor all night and the hair (updo) held all night!

such a nice atmosphere at Studio One Hair Design and a very relaxing for the start of your very special day! :)

Studio One was extremely professional, courteous, and did an amazing job! All of my bridesmaids had different types of hair & skin, which was one of my concerns, but I honestly can say that they all looked flawless. The team of hair/makeup artists were punctual, professional, accommodating, and made my wedding day unforgettable. I had my hair done by Kristin and my make-up done by Sarah, both of which are extremely qualified and made me feel like a princess on my special day. I would highly recommend any of the stylists in this salon.

ding, they have always exceeded my expectations. My hair looked amazing and my makeup looked so natural and made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day. Thank you so much!!

nyone that could make me feel wonderful. The ladies(Kristen & Jaime) at Studio One were absolutely amazing...they listened to what I wanted and did not insist that I do any particular style. I was so amazed that what I had imagined they were able to create for me. They were so pleasant and I couldn't have felt more perfect. I had a two day event that required hair & makeup services not only for me but for mothers, grandmothers and bridesmaids. Every lady sent from Studio One treated my friends and family with special attention and made sure they also felt and looked great. There was not one complaint all were so nice and did a wonderful job. It was a priceless moment for me knowing the closest women in my life felt beautiful. I'm so thankful to have had them for my wedding it truly help complete the celebrations. Thank you so very much!!!

I wanted my bridal hair to look like, but Amanda, my stylist and new best friend, totally understood my personality and designed my own personal hairstyle! I got so many compliments on my hair AND makeup, (thank you Jamie!) throughout the whole day and absolutely rave about this salon to anyone that asks!! They will not only make you feel special, but there is a warm, friendly feeling about this salon and you will want to go back for all of your pampering needs!

r me to choose them for my wedding in Oct. 2010. They traveled to northern NJ (1.5 hrs each way) and didn't so much as even mention the drive, they were absolute professionals! I'm waiting on my pro pics to see how everything photographed, but judging by friends pics it all looked great!

Studio One made it painless and a lot of fun. The staff are extremely skilled, helpful and accommodating. They listened to mine and my sister's requests and ideas and worked with us to find styles that made us both very happy. They have great make-up lines that are almost weightless and look very natural. I am going back to Studio One for every haircut from now on and would recommend them to anyone. Great shop.

product was INCREDIBLE! All this and we were out with time to spare! I'd recommend to anyone who wants a professional, very capable and friendly atmosphere as opposed to an unhappy and stressed out start to their big and special day. (As the bride I have to agree!)
