Both ladies were professional, friendly, and clearly experienced in wedding hair+make-up. We were all very happy with their work!

me and all 9 women in our bridal party. From the first time I met Kristen and Gerry at my trial I knew I was going to be in good hands. I was very nervous to get my hair and makeup done since I normally don't wear much make up and getting my hair done always makes me nervous. But they both took so much time listening to what I wanted, perfecting the look they envisioned, making me feel comfortable and making me feel beautiful. I was so happy with my trial and didn't think it could be possible to be even more happy on my wedding day but I was. The hair and makeup for our whole bridal party looked absolutely incredible. Everyone looked natural and their hair looked incredible, and despite the many tears our makeup stayed on forever and our hair never fell out of place. We also had so much fun getting ready there. Katie who had organized the morning for us and was outstanding to work with, had prepared fruit cups for us, croissants, coffee, tea and had glasses ready so we could have mimosas. They also let us play the music of our choosing and were just so incredibly kind throughout the day. I can't say enough wonderful things about Studio One and I was so thankful that we could get ready there. They are really an amazing group of stylists and excellent business. If you have the opportunity, book Studio One for your hair and makeup needs for your wedding or any event. You will feel beautiful, relaxed and have so much fun with working these women!

ervous at first to pick a place to do my hair and makeup since I was so used to doing my makeup myself and getting my hair done at a salon closer to home. However, Studio One did not disappoint! I was blown away by how great all of us looked! Everyone kept commenting that I looked like a fairytale princess with my hair in a side braid and my makeup and big eyelashes! I couldn't have felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day. Even though the weather was rainy, my airbrushed makeup didn't smudge and my hair stayed in place throughout the crazy humidity and dancing. I am so glad I went with Studio One for my bridal party's hair and makeup - it was one of the best decisions I could have made!

th her was her humor! She made me feel right at home and completely comfortable. At the trial, she was receptive to all of my suggestions, and offered some back as well. The day of she came to my hotel and was super wonderful even after I was 1/2 hour late! My hair was gorgeous and everyone loved it. Plus it didnt move all night! Same for my makeup. I got airbrushing and It was still on when I woke up the next morning! I looked absolutely beautiful thanks to Kate and Studio One!

result, once our wedding day approached, I had completely changed my mind about everything: I did't want waves anymore, I now wanted an updo, and I wanted for my make-up to look more natural. How many times in your life you manage to get EXACTLY what you wanted? Well, it happened to me on my wedding day! My updo was exactly how I wanted it to be and my makeup was even better than what I had hoped.Literally over the moon with the outcome! For the records: Kristen did my hair and Sarah did my makeup. Three of my bridesmaids needed to have their hair done and all four of them had their makeup done. Our appointment was at 8:00am and we were out of there by 10:00am, just as planned! My bridal party was very pleased as well with the result. Everybody at the salon was super-nice and welcoming and they even had pastries and fruit, together with coffee and tea, ready for us! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Hannah during my makeup trial went through multiple types of makeup with me, to ensure I got the perfect natural look. and professional. I had a total of 8 girls, including myself, getting hair and make up done and the salon was able to provide 2 makeup artists and 2 people for hair. They came on time and even finished early. My hair and make up looked wonderful, however I have A LOT of hair so it didn’t hold up for too long. It was also a very windy day so it was understandable. my bridesmaids had to keep adjusting and adding more bobby pins to my hair as the night went on. But honestly after the ceremony and pictures I didn’t care to much. I would still recommend studio one for any services you may need.

We were done early which was great since my Grandma last minute decided to get her makeup done and we didn't have that scheduled. I would recommend them to anyone getting married in the area.

I had two trials and in the end, did my hair completely different from my trials and Amanda had NO problem whatsoever executing my new look. Same with Gerry--we changed my makeup slightly on the day of and at no time were either of these gals nervous or rushed. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

I still recieve complements on how beautiful my hair and makeup looked. Amanda was the stylist who did my hair. She did the most amazing job, not only making it look beautiful but also understanding what I wanted. I wasn't sure of what I wanted when I went in for my trial, and Amanda took the time to sit and talk about what I wanted and then played with my hair and offered amazing ideas based on the little idea I had for my hair. Kristin was the other hair stylist who worked on bridesmaids hair and she did an amazing job. Every girl wanted something different and she made everyone happy. She also helped my little flower girl attach her tricky flower crown for free and it stayed the whole night she was just so sweet and thoughtful. Sarah and Hannah did makeup and I swear every girl looked FLAWLESS! Couldn't have been happier with studio one!!

creativity. Despite my wedding taking place on July 30th, outside, on top of a mountain and, incidentally, in the pouring rain, my hair withstood the elements for hours on end. Miraculously, Studio One managed to achieve a natural, unkempt look that was beautiful and long-lasting. I'm amazed at the longevity of the hairstyle, which in no way looked loaded with product. Studio One provided makeup services as well. I looked as natural and light as I'd asked to look. The staff was personable, funny, and so easy to talk to. They made me feel relaxed and truly special. I am grateful that I chose Studio One for my wedding and would recommend them to anyone.

I am personally not a nitpicky person, so I forwent the trial because Amanda was confident she could do it. That is how much I trust her skills as a hairdresser. Not only was my hair perfect, but also my makeup was flawless. I have never gotten airbrushed before and was slightly nervous. However, Gerry knew exactly what I wanted even before I did! Kristen did my sisters hair and copied the hairstyles they chose to a T. Overall, everyone is professional and go above and beyond to make sure your day is everything you imagined. relaxed. I had a trial the month before and tried two different hairstyles and some make-up looks. My Mom also had her hair and make-up done the day of. Kristin applied my hair extensions and half-up style perfectly, and Sarah came up with the perfect lipstick color, which I still use on nights out. My wedding was on a Sunday so they came to us and helped me and my Mom get ready. The hair and make-up lasted throughout the afternoon/evening, with only lipstick touch-ups. Thank you!

The day of, she was equally amazing. I was really nervous about the wedding, and she was really supportive and kept bringing me water and tea when I asked. Amanda did my hair, which turned out amazing! She listened to what I wanted and produced an incredible, wavy waterfall braid for me. The salon manager noticed how quiet and nervous I was, and she brought me a glass of champagne to calm me nerves. Also, it poured rain during my wedding (which was outside), but my hair and makeup still looked great at the end of the night! All around, an excellent experience!

The experience was rather dream-like and I have never felt so beautiful! A word on cost; when I started looking for hair and makeup services in the Hudson Valley, I was shocked and horrified by the pricing. Studio One’s prices are comparable to the rest, and not at all the most expensive. When my sister got married, the women doing our hair as bridesmaids did all four bridesmaids in an hour and charged $80 each. I was terrified that this was going to happen to my bridesmaids. It did not! Kristin, Amanda, Sarah and I imagine everyone else who works at Studio One are true professionals. They took their time, did detailed work, and more than satisfied everyone. If you’re not sure now about spending the money, you will not regret it when you see your wedding pictures!

On my wedding day I felt the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life and that is all thanks to Kristen and her amazing work! Kristen truly is great at what she does. When it comes to my hair, I am very simple, not very daring. I knew that for my wedding I wanted body and volume, something I am not used to. Kristen took my vision and made it come to life and it truly was precisely what I asked for. Everyone’s hair looked incredible all night long! All of us ladies also get our makeup done by Maura. She did a fantastic job too! Everyone’s makeup looked perfect! I am so glad I was able to work with Kristen, Amanda and Maura. They truly are the best stylist around! k me everything from blurting out "it looks horrible!" It was garish, gaudy, heavy, and unflattering. It did not look like anything like the picture I showed, took longer than it was supposed to, and I had to take all of it off before my ceremony and do my own makeup. To top it off, the services were expensive so I was extremely disappointed. Would only recommend this place for hair.

The team of hair/makeup artists were punctual, professional, accommodating, and made my wedding day unforgettable. I had my hair done by Kristin and my make-up done by Sarah, both of which are extremely qualified and made me feel like a princess on my special day. I wanted my bridal hair to look like, but Amanda, my stylist and new best friend, totally understood my personality and designed my own personal hairstyle! I got so many compliments on my hair AND makeup, (thank you Jamie!) throughout the whole day and absolutely rave about this salon to anyone that asks!! They will not only make you feel special, but there is a warm, friendly feeling about this salon and you will want to go back for all of your pampering needs!

Studio One made it painless and a lot of fun. The staff are extremely skilled, helpful and accommodating. They listened to mine and my sister's requests and ideas and worked with us to find styles that made us both very happy. They have great make-up lines that are almost weightless and look very natural. I am going back to Studio One for every haircut from now on and would recommend them to anyone. Great shop.
