Studio Terrain

I cannot recommend Fatima and the team at Studio Terrain enough! Her vision is AMAZING and she was one of the sweetest people to work with. Planning and re-planning a wedding this year with COVID was rough, but Fatima was so understanding and flexible with our ongoing changes/needs. Our original wedding was set for Detroit, but due to restrictions we moved it to Petoskey, MI. Fatima and her sister drove all of the florals to Petoskey for the weekend and must have worked 20 hours straight with the setup and tear down to make everything come to life. I honestly have no idea how they managed all of the work, but they are definitely superheros. Every one of our guest commented on how stunning and truly unique the florals were, which were a very large centerpiece for our ceremony (a large floral chuppah) and reception (the most stunning hanging floral installation). A few months before the wedding I threw a curve ball and asked what it would look like if I changed my vision, no longer opting for white and green minimalist and instead looking at tans, blush and burgundy tones in a somewhat messy romantic look. Fatima called me immediately, talked through some of the ideas and sent me a new mood board in a matter of hours. It was SPOT ON! If you are looking for someone who is not only an amazing artist, but someone who will help bring your vision to life while also being the most considerate and reliable vendor then I can't recommend them enough. :)

Fatima was super nice and accommodating. She helped me hone my vision for the bouquets and it was amazing. Natural, soft, and organic.

Fatima was one of the first vendors that we booked for our wedding. We fell in love with her immediately and overall it just felt like a match made in heaven. Creating our style/design vision with her was one of my favorite parts of our whole wedding planning experience. This woman just OOZES epic creative innovation!! Every single time I spoke with her, I would get off the phone super fired up and inspired!! Her energy + enthusiasm is super infectious...and it’s completely apparent that she just completely lives and breathes massive PASSION for her craft. It was so incredibly inspiring (and just an overall massive JOY) to be around. ❤️ I will forever refer Fatima to anybody and EVERYBODY. If there is one piece of advice I could give any potential clients, it would be to try and remain open-minded + trusting toward whatever creative ideas or input that she may have toward your vision. After a while, I just kind of let her “run with it” and do her thing with our decor and she BLEW ME AWAY with the results! ... knocked the socks right off my feet when I saw the room on our wedding day!! 😱It’s two months later and people are still talking about the flowers. :) Fatima is a creative genius. 10 out of 10!! 👌

Fatima and her team were an absolute DREAM to work with. Fatima is so sweet and was so helpful through the entire wedding planning process. She brought my dream to life and it was better than I ever could have imagined. Choosing Studio Terrain to be part of our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Our flowers for our wedding were absolutely gorgeous. I was very specific about what I wanted. I had a vision - moody palette, fresh picked looking bouquets. I did not want the traditional bridal look. Fatima, the owner and lead designer, was amazing to work with. She really helped bring my vision to life. And she was extremely responsive! I would send her an email and would get a response back almost right away. People are still talking about our flowers!! I would highly recommend Studio Terrain. Definitely worth every penny!

Fatima is absolutely a dream to work with! She was the one vendor I knew I needed to have before I was even engaged, and I was not disappointed! She was easy to work with and the meeting with her was detailed and left me with no questions. I had to add some extras and less than a month out and she did it all without hesitation. Such beautiful arrangements that I wish I could keep forever!

Booking with Fatima was one of the best decisions I made in my wedding planning! She was thoughtful and genuinely interested in working with me on a creative level. She has a beautiful style and eye for what will fit best in the look of a wedding. Her honesty in recommendations was refreshing—we had a bit of a unique floral request to use kumquats in our arrangements, and she immediately let me know that because of the hurricane activity, we may have to use faux fruit based on the crop availability. At the time, I was speaking with three other florists, and no one had mentioned that to me! I was sold. Our wedding turned out beautifully and she was wonderful working with the rest of our vendors to add unique touches everywhere you looked. I could not recommend her more!

Fatima is INCREDIBLE. I mean that in every sense. From the beginning, she was easy to talk to, down to earth, and professional. She provided a ton of detail, really listened to what I wanted, and was upfront about everything (for example: I wanted a certain flower that wasn't in season at the time of our wedding, and she let me know that in our initial proposal, and gave me multiple options to still make the vision come alive- including special ordering them, giving me suggestions of placement flowers, etc) Leading up to the wedding, I made some alterations and also had some additions leading up to it- Fatima made all of those adjustments and reassured me it would all come together! I had asked Fatima if there was a way to incorporate some special pieces into my bouquet (including two pictures of my grandmothers). She was able to add the pieces to bouquet that made everyone in my family tear up, and had guests coming up to me throughout the night asking to see it! The day of, Fatima was early and decorated our venue and cake just as we discussed. All of the flowers were spot on to my vision and were absolutely beautiful. The flowers were one of my top priorities when it came to the wedding- I am BEYOND glad that we worked with Fatima. We had a wonderful experience working with her and everything looked amazing!

Do yourself a favor and book Studio Terrain NOW for your floral needs! Fatima is incredible and you will feel so lucky to work with her and her team. Let's start from the beginning. Upon reaching out to Fatima, she was kind, welcoming, prompt to respond, and a calming presence. I told her my vision for the wedding and shortly after our first chat, she sent a vision board that absolutely nailed our style. She presented us with ideas that were beautiful and cost effective. Win - win! On the day of the wedding, Fatima and her team were early to deliver boutonnieres, corsages, and bouquets. They got to the venue early to set up. They literally constructed the most BEAUTIFUL ceremony arch from scratch at the venue. When I got to the venue, I was so blown away by the flowers. Everything was even better than Fatima's original vision board...which was hard to beat! We received tons of compliments. Her team was there at the end of the night to tear down. We had absolutely nothing to worry about from start to finish. I had multiple small changes I wanted to make leading up to the wedding and she helped make those happen...all with a smile. When picking vendors, I think the most important qualities are finding someone who is transparent, trustworthy, confident, and simply kind. Fatima was all of this and more. We were so lucky to have worked with her. Thank you for everything, Fatima!!!

Whimsical; dreamy; elegant. Fatima is all these things and she radiates these same attributes through the florals she handcrafts. I met Fatima this time last year and was impressed by her attention to detail and willingness to work with my smaller budget. Her business was just starting but you would think she had been running it her whole life. She’s a girl-boss: driven, organized, and incredibly talented. My husband and I planned a wedding that was a bit non-traditional: Fatima took my vision, combined it with hers, and made our wedding day a dream come true (TRULY! Ignore the cliché and believe me)! The days leading up to the wedding were effortless and fun. While most brides point to the stresses of wedding planning, I was able to enjoy the sweetness of the engagement season, because I knew Fatima had my back! Though I know what I want, I had my full trust in whatever she pieced together. It was so relieving to hand off such a big piece of the wedding to not just somebody I hired, but to a friend.. She’s genuine to the core; a florist-extraordinaire. Studio Terrain is one of the most treasured parts of our wedding day!

Oh my goodness, I could not brag enough about Fatima. She was so kind and helpful throughout the whole process and her work is absolutely stunning. She made our day so much more special. I will recommend her to every bride I meet!

Fatima is amazing, hands down. She was our favorite vendor by far for multiple reasons, and flowers are very important to me! Our photographer refereed a few florists to us, and I did my research with each one, so glad we ended up with Studio Terrain! It just felt right and I immediately connected with Fatima based on her previous career. She seems to do most of her communication via email, which was fine by me, but I found myself super excited for each email because her proposals took my ideas to the next level. She brought my ideas to life with flawless execution and my most seamless vendor to work with, by far! I worked with Fatima on our ceremony and reception, which she set up both in separate locations for a small fee. Fatima asked if we needed any flowers for our rehearsal dinner, which I of course did not even think of, I was so happy what she had put in front of me thus far, she was able to put together some beautiful arrangements for my bridal luncheon! Guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the two rooms were. I was so happy with everything, when I saw Fatima at the end of the reception, I cried! She truly goes above and beyond! I only wish she would offer a weekly subscription service to her flowers because I live out of state and I love them so much, they bring my happy thoughts :)

Fatima and her team were more than a dream to work with! She made my wedding planning process an ease and even went out of her way to make sure this bride didn't lose her mind! Her thoroughness and ideas made our wedding day more than perfect! She is one of a kind in this business!

Fatima is incredible. Not only does she go above and beyond.. she astoundingly takes it even farther. Her organization and willingness to bring visions to life is rare and refreshing. I have worked with Fatima (Studio Terrain) on several occasions and every time I am blown away. Not only can you expect gorgeous flowers and works of art.. you can feel confident in your choice. You don't have to worry or stress that your vision will be executed when you hire her. I literally can't put into words how incredible she really is! As someone who works in the industry.. she is truly a rare find.

Fatima was so pleasent to meet with and she was very accommodating to our vision. She worked with us on a proposal that she sent to us the day of our first meeting, which I was so appreciative of. She offered to do a venue walk through with us and she said that if she had extra flowers that she didn't quote us for, she'd put them around the venue for free. We were very excited about her and thought she'd give great attention to detail. She is brand new to the business and at the time of our first meeting she had only had ONE wedding under her belt. We were clear about our budget and said we could go a little over if necessary. We also thought it was acceptable for us to ask her to provide a reference of a bride that she had worked with in the past and stay within a lower set up fee percentage because she is brand new and only brings her husband and sister along to help her set up. She sent us a proposal that was $2,000 over our said budget. I was sort of shocked that she wasn't more clear with us about how much the cost would be of what we were asking for. She did work with us to get to costs down which I appreciated, then quoted us again for $600 over our said budget which we could live with. Then a few days later, she sends us an email stating that she doesn't think we are the best "fit" for each other. I appreciate her honesty but I wish she would have been honest from the beginning, because I spent a good amount deal of my time trying to work with her and communicating with her about our vision and budget. I feel very stressed now having to go back to the drawing board and I'm disappointed because I truly did want to work with her. I spoke to my mom about sending over her retainer the morning that she sent us this email. I would recommend her because I think she's talented but I would try to have honest conversations from the beginning. It seems that she got a better offer for my date around the time that we were talking and fired us... I don't think that is very professional of her.
