Sydney at Studio Wride was one of our absolute favorite additions to our wedding! From the beginning, she was incredibly sweet, thoughtful, communicative, and so easy to work with.
Our guests LOVED having their portraits painted and were genuinely so excited to see them come to life throughout the night. It was such a fun experience for everyone and, in my opinion, one of the best wedding favors you can give because it’s something personal that guests can actually take home and keep.
Sydney is incredibly talented, but beyond that, she has such a warm presence and our guests absolutely loved interacting with her. The portraits added such a unique and personal touch to our wedding and made our guests feel special.
If you’re considering live guest portrait painting for your wedding, I cannot recommend Sydney enough. It was 100% worth it and something we would choose again in a heartbeat!
I found Sydney after she popped up on my Instagram feed, and as soon as I clicked into her profile I messaged her right away to see if she was available. From the start she was so easy to plan with—responsive, friendly, and clear about everything.
She arrived at our wedding venue ahead of schedule (such a pleasant surprise!) and set up seamlessly. With everything going on that day, having someone who could jump right in without any questions or issues was a huge stress reliever.
Our guests absolutely loved the surprise, and her artwork was incredible. The attention to detail—especially on the dresses—and the added touches of sparkle made each piece truly beautiful. Based in Reno, NV, and happy to travel for destination weddings, Studio Wride is a live wedding painter offering gorgeous favors and live entertainment to you and your loved ones.
Studio Wride creates quick, captivating watercolor portraits of your guests for a one-of-a-kind wedding favor. During cocktail hour, I photograph guests—either solo or in groups— in order to sketch and paint each portrait while leaving your guests free to watch me work or mingle. Completed paintings are available for pickup by the end of the night, and any unfinished ones are completed in my studio and delivered to the couple afterwards to be sent out with thank you notes. I finished portraits every 7-11 minutes.

After earning my B.A. in Art and moving to Reno, Nevada, I started doing live guest portraits at weddings—and I absolutely loved it! But when I became pregnant with my first baby, I hesitated to take my business to the next level. Could I really be a mom and run a successful creative business?
When my daughter was born, I faced a sudden, life-threatening emergency. In that moment, I knew life was too short to let my fears hold me back. I wanted to show my daughter that moms can do hard and awesome things. I officially established Studio Wride LLC, and have been painting professionally at weddings across the country and other events ever since!
There’s nothing more fulfilling than making people feel beautiful through my art. It’s a joy and an honor to help make your most meaningful moments even more special.
