Based in Reno, NV, and happy to travel for destination weddings, Studio Wride is a live wedding painter offering gorgeous favors and live entertainment to you and your loved ones. Studio Wride creates quick, captivating watercolor portraits of your guests for a one-of-a-kind wedding favor. During cocktail hour, I photograph guests—either solo or in groups— in order to sketch and paint each portrait while leaving your guests free to watch me work or mingle. Completed paintings are available for pickup by the end of the night, and any unfinished ones are completed in my studio and delivered to the couple afterwards to be sent out with thank you notes. I finished portraits every 7-11 minutes. This unforgettable live art experience from Studio Wride will leave your guests with a fabulous favor from your event, and you with a gallery full of paintings of your favorite people.

After earning my B.A. in Art and moving to Reno, Nevada, I started doing live guest portraits at weddings—and I absolutely loved it! But when I became pregnant with my first baby, I hesitated to take my business to the next level. Could I really be a mom and run a successful creative business? When my daughter was born, I faced a sudden, life-threatening emergency. In that moment, I knew life was too short to let my fears hold me back. I wanted to show my daughter that moms can do hard and awesome things. I officially established Studio Wride LLC, and have been painting professionally at weddings across the country and other events ever since! There’s nothing more fulfilling than making people feel beautiful through my art. It’s a joy and an honor to help make your most meaningful moments even more special. I’m happy to travel anywhere to help make your dreams come true!

Sydney painted live portraits of our guests at our wedding in July, creating over 100 unique pieces of art. Each one beautifully captured the personality of our friends and family,...

and some guests were able to take their portraits home that night. For the ones that needed finishing touches after the event, Sydney mailed them to us, and we included them with our thank-you cards, making them an extra special keepsake to share. The response has been nothing but positive, and everyone who received a portrait absolutely loved it. I cannot recommend Sydney with Studio Wride highly enough for any upcoming event, even if you are outside of the Reno area. She traveled all the way to Seattle for us, and we are so glad she did!

easy to plan with—responsive, friendly, and clear about everything. She arrived at our wedding venue ahead of schedule (such a pleasant surprise!) and set up seamlessly.
