Style & Story and its incredible photographers have been the calm within the storm of wedding planning from the very beginning of our engagement. We knew from the moment we met them at a wedding show over a year ago that they were for us. Their energy is unparalleled, and their professionalism and willingness to get the shot makes us SO excited for our wedding this August. Stephen drove 2.5 hours to Put-in-Bay for our windy October engagement shoot. He rode a VERY rocky ferry boat, spent all day with us exploring the island, and got completely soaked with us to get the most incredible shot. Style & Story are 100% worth the investment and so much more. Stephen has already given us engagement photos and memories that fill our home and photo albums. We cannot wait for our wedding day with him and know those photos will be just as amazing.

GUYS. If there's a handful of people I'd like to hire to just hang out with, these are them. This team is stellar in what they do. They are enthusiastic and excited about YOUR story and how to tell it best. They are crafty, flexible (literally and physically... the sh*t they do for great pictures), and artistic. As a wedding professional myself, I know the importance of hiring vendors that you ENJOY being around. Photographers, specifically, are around you more than almost any other vendor on your wedding day, so you better like them. I'd hire them on personality and fun ALONE. Not to mention their insanely mind blowing photography.

This review is long overdue, but I need to share after re-hashing our experience multiple times with friends asking about our wedding photographers. We were thrilled to hire Ben & Les for our wedding, but now recommend them with caution. They were our dream photographers and we absolutely love the photos they captured of our day...simply stunning!! Ben did a great job handling a few challenging situations throughout the day (i.e. upset security officer at one of our photo locations and photo-happy Grandparents ;)). He helped make the day very relaxed and fun. While we are so thankful for the photos we have, we unfortunately hesitate to recommend their services to other couples for the following reason: we did not get everything we paid for. I'm not sure if they tried to cut corners because we hired them at a discounted rate before they increased their prices for the year or if it was truly a mistake, but there were too many issues that arose making it feel more than coincidental. For example, we paid to have a "lighting director" who never showed up to the wedding. We paid for her service and also paid for her seat at our reception. We also gave Ben & Les money to purchase a hotel room the night before the wedding, which they did not book. We know this because they showed up late to our morning photos due to snowy driving conditions (they called us on their way to notify us). We were loving our day so much that we didn't even realize our contract was breached until days/weeks later. If you consider hiring Ben and Les for your wedding, be assured that you will get top notch photos from a very friendly couple. Just know that they were not open and honest with us. Please be cautious and make sure you thoroughly read your contract to hold them accountable to the service they say they will provide.

Where to start with these guys! From the first time we talked with Style & Story, we knew we had made a great decision. We had Stephen as our photographer and he and his assistant knocked it out of the park! He was there for both my wife and I through out the whole day, and made it light and fun, but also very professional in making sure we were doing well on time and getting some amazing photos taken! Communicatoin was great, as Stephen was timely at getting back to us, whether it was a phone call, email, or text. They did a great job, and blew any already high expectations my wife and I had out of the water!

There was never a question on who we would have as photographers! Style & story creative are mad geniuses! They are truly the best! Ben pays attention to every little detail to make sure your wedding day is the best one ever. I would pick them over and over again!

The best decision that we made for our wedding, was booking Style & Story Creative. Ever since I saw their pictures, I knew they were going to be perfect. We really enjoyed working with Ben and honestly, he has a passion and was born to be a photographer. I loved how he always was on top of things(literally, to get some of the best shots ever, he stood on a bunch of stuff!) and he just always stayed real to who he was and what he was about. I loved that he was able to relate to my husband and I's taste and our style. One of the most important thing about my wedding that I knew would mean a great deal to me, were my wedding pictures, and Ben went above and beyond and delivered the best pictures I've ever seen. I cried for both my engagement and wedding pictures, and it takes a lot for me to cry over pictures! Thank you SO MUCH Ben!! I couldn't have asked for anything better!! You truly brought my childhood dream to life and I appreciate everything you did! <3

Hiring this company was an amazing decision. My entire bridal party loved Ben and Chalen (sorry about spelling?)--they made the picture taking process not only effortless but fun. Both of them were so willing to do whatever they needed to make our day go smoothly. At one point Ben was holding a mirror in front of me so I could see my hair. Ben will do whatever it takes to get an amazing shot and even out guests commented that he was worth the $$ because even they could see how hard he worked. There is no way you would be disappointed if you hire these people!

We used Style & Story Creative for both our photography and videography. I can't say enough good things about the entire crew. Ben and his team were EVERYWHERE, I truly felt like they captured each and every moment of the whole day. We booked them for 12 hours, and they stayed later, to make sure we had that perfect end-of-the-night shot. They are so talented, and their work is truly an art form. I knew as soon as our engagement shoot was over, and Ben had climbed a tree to get "the perfect shot," that we had hired the best. They went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we wanted, and I couldn't be happier!

The entire team was perfection! They worked tirelessly from the beginning until the very end. Not only are they true professionals at what they do, but they are also fun to be around and really make everyone feel at ease. The groom and I are typically not the most comfortable people in front of the camera and/or video camera, but Style & Story Creative made every moment feel effortless and natural for us, our bridal party and the wedding guests. They really have a true passion for what they do and it shows in their work. We couldn't be happier with the outcome, and would recommend them to anyone!

Ben and Leslie Hartley are the owners and photographers at Style & Story Creative that we worked with…I absolutely cannot compliment their service and/or talent enough! We were referred to them by a member of our wedding party and after meeting with them the first time, they were booked! The wedding photography is unparalleled with anything I have seen from the weddings of friends and family to Pinterest to shots in bridal magazine and on websites. They have a creative and unique vision that will not only give you wedding photographs perfectly tailored to your day but will combine that with traditional wedding portraits so that nothing is left uncaptured. We received a preview of our photos via Facebook while we were on our Honeymoon and it was like we were able to relive every moment and emotion from our big day! Not to mention the onslaught of compliments that our guests and wedding party had on the day of the wedding (how kind, professional, and creative they were) to after seeing what they could do (how unique, breathtaking, and stunning their photographs were).
